1994 Acura Legend Gs 6 Speed Manual 4-door Sedan 3.2l Type Ii With Navigation on 2040-cars
San Rafael, California, United States
An extremely rare classic Black 1994 Acura Legend GS (Type II) 6 speed manual 4 door sedan with clean title and no accident. This is quite possibly the cleanest mint condition low-mileage 6 speed Legend sedan in the world. State Farm has officially issued a special vintage classic car insurance for this vehicle, it is one of only approximately 400 units ever produced by Acura. Legend enthusiasts have long treasured the 6 speed Legend 2 door Coupes, but the 6 speed Sedans are ultra rare. It took me 15 years to find this car, and I have never seen another 6 speed sedan in person. This car has never been raced or modified, both the exterior and interior are in great condition, absolutely luxurious inside, no fading on paint, not even a single scrape on any of the four factory wheels! Currently has just 114,600 original miles, it runs smooth and sublime, engine sounds fantastic, clutch is excellent, no wind noise on highway, an incredibly fun car to drive. As of now, the car is running perfectly and no major services are due for another 86,000 miles!!! I really thought that I would keep this car forever, but then I happened to lease an electric car for my commute -- enjoying the no gas bill and the electric motor torque! I hope to find another Legend enthusiast who will appreciate all the meticulous work I did for this rare Legend. All service and restoration are documented and all receipts are available for the buyer. Passed Smog and Registered through Aug 2014. I am auctioning it off at a fraction of what I spent on, it's a real bargain for such an amazingly rare 6 speed Legend Sedan. The car can be viewed in San Rafael or San Francisco by appointment during the auction. Thanks for looking! |

Acura already planning NSX Type R?
Wed, Jan 14 2015Acura just took the wraps off the production version of its long-awaited new NSX, but rumors are already circulating of an even hotter version to follow. Meeting up at the Detroit Auto Show this week, Auto Express asked the NSX's chief engineer Ted Klaus about the prospect of a Type R version in the future, to which he reportedly answered: "I think everyone who loves cars wants to see a version that we say is pure red. The NSX has always been silver first, moving towards red later. Someone asked me, 'when will you be satisfied?' Probably never. What you do today, you can improve on tomorrow." That doesn't mean that tomorrow will actually come tomorrow, but it does speak to a spirit of improvement on the NSX team that could stand to keep the American-made Japanese supercar on the knife's edge and out in front of the competition, which Klaus identified as including the Ferrari 458, Audi R8 V10 and Porsche 911 Turbo. The previous model bred the NSX-R two years after its release (in the Japanese domestic market anyway), benefiting from a 265-pound weight reduction, a stiffer suspension, and though never officially confirmed, a long-suspected bump in output. 2021 Acura TLX Long-Term Update | Pleasurable drive, puzzling gremlin
Thu, Sep 9 2021This was my first long haul behind the wheel of our long-term 2021 Acura TLX, and past experience with the brand (and Honda in general) led me to believe that if I could get past any seat comfort issues, the TLX and I would get along just fine. As it turned out, I had no cause to worry in the first place. The TLX’s seats are comfortable and supportive enough for my typical driving position – and look great in red to boot. Not having to worry about my back screaming at me after a couple solid hours on the highway, I was able to devote my attention elsewhere, and the report is largely positive. To me, the most impressive thing about the TLX is how small it feels from behind the wheel. IÂ’ve had it in my driveway for nearly two months (for various reasons, none of them good; look for more in a future update) and despite driving it rather frequently, I often forget that itÂ’s a midsize. HowÂ’d Acura accomplish that? ItÂ’s all in the feedback. The steering is dialed in pretty much perfectly and lacks the artificial and distant sensation present in AudiÂ’s FWD-based luxury sedans, for example. IÂ’d even put the TLX ahead of BMWÂ’s 2 Series Gran Coupe in this department. Sure, theyÂ’re very different vehicles, but that Acura can accomplish this with something as large as the TLX while even BMWÂ’s compacts disappoint? Well, it says something. And though it may feel small, it isnÂ’t. The TLX more than accommodated enough luggage for two people traveling to a Lake Michigan wedding over a long weekend, and did shuttle duty throughout the festivities without even a peep from rear-seat passengers, apart from commentary about the red leather. ItÂ’s a bit polarizing, IÂ’ll admit, but I think it looks great against the blue exterior. 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec View 51 Photos Over the 500-mile round trip, the TLX averaged just a hair under 30 mpg (against an EPA rating of 29 mpg highway; score one for the numbers geeks) at cruising speeds of 75-80. Michigan highways arenÂ’t known for top-notch surfaces, but even on the grooved pavement found on many of its interstates and other rural expressways, tire hum never became intrusive. Present? Sure, just not unpleasantly so. My gripes are few. I wish the cruise control would be a bit more aggressive in accelerating to a set speed when resumed, for one; it seems downright lazy under certain conditions. I could also do entirely without the silly touchpad-like infotainment interface.
Acura launches ad spots for Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Acura and Jerry Seinfeld are expanding their partnership as season three of the comedian's web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, prepares to debut. Seinfeld has paired with director Barry Sonnenfeld to create a series of ads for the luxury brand showcasing the new Acura RLX and MDX.
There are eight spots, written by Seinfeld and directed by Sonnenfeld, that seemingly mock advertisements of the 1960s, with a deep-voiced, smooth-talking host highlighting the cars in question. It's all very folksy, Leave it to Beaver style humor. We'd be lying, though, if we said we weren't reminded a bit too forcefully of Dodge's successful range of Will Ferrell ads when watching the eight Acura spots.
"My idea for Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee was to show this certain aspect of the stand-up comedy world in a way that comedy fans would enjoy experiencing as if they were there," said Seinfeld. "There is absolutely no doubt that without Acura's support I would not have been able to continue beyond the initial experiment. And now Acura has enabled me to extend the concept by creating ads that fit the comedy tone of the show."
