Well here it is. My pride & joy - An extremely rare example of a Canadian Spec, 99% Stock, Original, Unmolested & Immaculate example of a year 2000 Acura Integra Type R with a seaminglessly put together JDM front end. Championship White Acura Integra Type R # 2000-1041 to be exact. This Car has it all - MATCHING VIN NUMBERS ON ALL PANELS, ORIGINAL PAINT, ORIGINAL STOCK ENGINE. NO THEFT, NO ACCIDENTS. Interior & Exterior wise it is a 9 / 10 Besides a little bit of fade in the colour of the seats, trunk carpet blemish, and a little bit of side bolster wear on the front seats - the interior is like new. Please note that this car does not have air conditioning. Its a true to its roots Type R : ) The same can be said for the paint. It is BUTTERY SMOOTH. A couple dents on the roof of the car as well as a couple door dents from careless parkers, it is hard to believe that the paint is almost 15 years old. A couple superficial scratches here and there, but nothing that a good cut polish cannot get rid of. The JDM front is also professionally done. Absolutely no corners were taken for the swap and it clearly shows. The headlights are the JDM HID version as well. There is however a small rock chip on the driver side bottom windshield. It is about the size of a nickel. The ONLY aftermarket parts on this car are - Alarm ( 2 fobs and 2 original acura keys included) Skunk 2 aluminum radiator JVC mp3 CD player ( I do not have the stock radio, but they can be found on ebay for cheap) There is a spoon sticker that is stuck onto the valve cover. The hatch release button has been disabled to prevent break ins. The hood release latch has been repositioned to the passenger side footwell to prevent engine tampering. Both of the above can be easily reverted back to OEM spec. Mechanically, this Type R drives like new. Car pulls real strong. When v-tec hits, its heavenly. Sure it burns a little bit of oil, but all B18's do. This car has been meticulously maintained. Parts were changed far sooner then scheduled maintenance. Nothing but the best fluids for this car. 94 octane throughout its life. Now for the history of this car - Originally bought used with 6,000km by my brother in law back in 2001 from Dondocksteader Subaru. He was the one who performed the JDM front end conversion. Did I also mention he is the owner of www.ahmautomotive.ca ? He cared for the car until 2007 when he traded it in to Autowest BMW for a 2007 BMW M coupe. Some time after that the car switched to a couple owners, all of which kept this car in stock form, accident free, and mechanically sound. When I purchased it, I brought back his first love to his shop for an entire pre purchase inspection. He was speechless. Needless to say, the car passed with flying colours. The only attention this car needs is the front brakes. They have about 15% life left in them. Both rotors & pads will need to be replaced soon. Tires are grippy yokohoma s-drives. The fronts are new, and the rears are at 70%. Slight vibration in the steering wheel due to stiff engine mounts (this was installed back in 2007 by my brother in law). I think the pictures speaks for the car. It took me a long time to find a perfect, unmolested Type R, and as it is getting older & wiser, these cars are turning into collectors items. Anyone who owns them now, tend to keep them forever. Many car enthusiasts are calling it a modern-classic masterpiece that will surely appreciate in value. In my opinion, this is the greatest car that Honda has ever produced. (second to the NSX of course). Bid with confidence. *Please note that all buyers outside of Canada are responsible for importing duties, fee's and paperwork. I will meet and/or communicate with the shipper & logistics company of your choice* I am experiencing sellers remorse on this car. The ONLY reason I am selling now is to help fund my all time favourite dream car - My cousins 1997 993 Turbo which he is willing to sell to me. I'm selling this collectors item, along with another rare unicorn + my beloved motorcycle for this dream. Please also note that if the winning bidder is paying the $2,000 deposit via pay pal. Please kindly add on 3%. Happy Bidding! |

Acura NSX coming to Detroit, the wait is almost over [w/video]
Wed, Dec 17 2014Finally. After spending years rounding three bases in the development of the second coming of the Acura NSX, we can espy home base just beyond the turn of the year. Here is your first teaser image for the profoundly anticipated coupe that will show itself in production form at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. (We've even brightened it up for you, but feel free to see it in high-res, original form, along with a few other teaser shots, here.) What we can see of it looks like the last camouflaged prototype we saw at the 'Ring, save for switching out the prorotype's traditional headlights for Acura's jeweled units. After years of foreplay, well... let's just say we're ready. The coupe, its zirconium e-coat and its twin-turbocharged Sport Hybrid power unit – aimed at Ferrari 458 Italia performance for Audi R8 money – will be uncovered on January 12, 2015 at 11:50 AM Eastern time, and you can watch it as it happens at www.youtube.com/acura. There's a teaser video, below, to whet your appetites. Next month's NSX debut kicks off what John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda, calls "The Year of Honda." Speaking to members of the media at an event in Detroit Tuesday, Mendel said that following the NSX, Honda will debut a new version of the Pilot SUV in 2015, as well as a redesigned Ridgeline pickup. Mendel also confirmed that Honda will launch small-displacement, turbocharged engines for use in production vehicles. As for Acura, the company's luxury division will offer the new ILX this year, and Mendel hinted that the RDX and MDX crossovers will get a few updates to make them more competitive within their respective segments. It sounds like a busy year, for sure. And we're ready and waiting (we've been waiting...) for the NSX to kick it all off. Head below to read the official confirmation statement, and to see a teaser video. Acura NSX Production Model to Make World Debut at 2015 North American International Auto Show TORRANCE, Calif., December 17, 2014 – The production version of the highly anticipated Acura NSX supercar, successor to the legendary original NSX, will make its world debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show on January 12, 2015. The model will reflect the production design and specifications of the mid-engine Acura supercar that is slated to launch in 2015.
2014 Acura MDX priced from $42,290*
Fri, 31 May 2013The fully redesigned 2014 MDX goes on sale in July, and Acura has now confirmed that its largest crossover will be priced at $42,290 (*plus $895 for destination). Unlike previous MDX models, Acura will offer the 2014 model with both front- and all-wheel drive (the automaker's fantastic Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive, at that), and this base price is for the standard, two-wheel-drive MDX model. At the base level, this new pricing represents a $990 decrease over the outgoing, AWD-only 2013 model.
Four trim levels will be offered across the range, all of which use Acura's direct-injected 3.5-liter V6 engine good for 290 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include things like push-button start, Acura's fancy new Jewel Eye LED headlights, the next-generation AcuraLink system, an eight-inch multi-function display screen, blind spot monitoring and a premium sound system.
Moving up from there, the Technology package ($46,565) gains 19-inch wheels (18s are standard), forward collision warning, lane departure warning, a color TFT display, rain-sensing wipers and more. The Entertainment Package (bundled into one $48,565 model) adds rear seat entertainment to all of that. At the top end, the MDX Advance model gets unique wheels, remote engine start, 12-speaker ELS premium audio, adaptive cruise control and more. Adding Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive to any of these models results in a $2,000 price jump.
The cars that won't live to see 2015 [w/video]
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Every year in the fast-paced automotive industry brings new models, but it also spells the end for some that have been less successful. This year will be no exception.
Japan's automakers make up the bulk of the list of discontinued models for the 2015 model year: Acura is replacing the TL and TSX with the new TLX sedan, Honda is bidding farewell to the Fit EV as the new Fit hatchback takes its place, and Nissan is saying goodbye to both the Cube and Murano CrossCabriolet. Both the Nissan Maxima and Mazda2 exit stage left before their upcoming replacements arrive, while Toyota is terminating the RAV4 EV and FJ Cruiser as well as the Scion xD, and Lexus IS C and IS F that are being effectively replaced by the new RC. Meanwhile Infiniti is finally discontinuing the G37 that was already replaced by the newer Q50.
From our own domestic automakers, Cadillac discontinues the CTS-V sedan and wagon as the new CTS rolls in, Chevy is canceling the mild-hybrid Eco versions of the Malibu and Impala sedans, and Chrysler is killing off the 200 convertible as the new 200 sedan arrives.
