I have exclusively repaired and maintained this vehicle since acquiring ownership.
I am a 100% Honda factory trained Master technician and Master ASE certified currently working at a Honda dealer for the last 12 years.

What doesn't work?
Auto dimming rear view mirror, rear window is tinted I never needed to use it.
Drivers heated seat BACK, bottom still works
Passenger heated seat bottom (passenger side does not have a heated back element)
THAT'S IT EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS!

Some of the questions I have been getting:
Q: Why are you selling your car?
A: Couple of reasons, need more space in the garage family has four cars three of them are mine : )
I hardly drive it anymore and I've owned it for 5 years time for something else....just don't tell my wife.

Q: How loud is the exhaust?
A: It's not loud, louder than stock but not loud. Comptech really did their homework. The sound is unique, deeper and a little throatier than stock.
It is not you typical "tuner" exhaust. Not droney, raspy or sound like a pack of bees coming. You can drive on the highway with no radio on and have a conversation at normal voice levels.

Q: How stiff is the suspension?
A: Handling was greatly improved without sacrificing comfort, its not "slammed" All suspension angles are 100% to factory spec.
Absolutely no uneven tire wear problems, we have taken this car on many weekend vacations its very comfortable.

Q: Do you have all your receipts?
A: I do have a good amount of receipts but not all, I would happily show you the ones I have.
Doing all the repairs myself  its a little hard to make a legitimate receipt to myself.
Everything I have said I have done can be verified with an inspection.

Q: Is there any rust on the body?
A: There is no rust on the body. It is hard to photograph the small scratches and dings. The paint is very reflective and the pictures usually just show whatever is reflecting off of the paint. The most affected area is the hood and front fenders there is what people refer to as  "peppering" or small rock chips from day to day driving. Even with that said the majority of people do not believe me when I tell them the car is clean....until they see it person and then they are like "wow this car is clean."

If you would like to talk in person please email me through eBay and I will give you my phone number.

2021 Acura TLX to use dedicated platform and wishbone front suspension

Tue, May 26 2020

Acura claims the 2021 TLX will be the "quickest, best-handling, and most well-appointed sport sedan in Acura history." The experts at Autoblog won't be able to put that statement to the test for several months, but all signs thus far are positive. After showing off the rear of the car a week ago, Acura just released a new teaser of the front fascia. Along with the photo, Acura announced the upcoming TLX will use its own brand-exclusive sports sedan platform and will have a double wishbone front suspension. Before the 2021 TLX's digital unveiling that will take place, May 28 at 1:00 p.m. EST (10:00 a.m. PDT) on Acura.com, Honda's luxury branch has slowly been releasing enticing tidbits about the all-new four-door. The teasers show the car will look very similar to the beautiful Type S Concept, and a Type S performance variant will use a powerful turbocharged 3.0-liter V6.   The new teaser focuses on the car's handling. In addition to the crude silhouette of the car's front end, the dark image shows that the TLX will ditch the Macpherson struts and use double wishbone control arms for the front suspension. Although the TLX nameplate is not old, as it first debuted for the 2015 model year as a replacement to the TL and TSX, this is a return-to-roots type of move. Acura has had success with the wishbone suspension in past performance cars that gave the brand name its weight such as the 1986-1995 Legend, 1990-2001 Integra, 1996-2014 TL and TL Type S, and 1991-2005 NSX. The current NSX hybrid supercar also uses the same setup, which Acura says has "more precise control of wheel camber, caster, and toe angles," and increases tire contact patches. The TLX is also expected to have a "highly rigid body" and a "performance-focused chassis."  For now, that's all that is known about the upcoming TLX, but enthusiasts won't have to wait long to learn more. Full info will arrive May 28. Related Video:

Motorweek goes retro with '80s hot hatch shootout

Mon, 03 Nov 2014

Motorweek's decades of history on television make it the perfect medium to look back into the automotive past and see how things are different now. It recently added old road test videos to its YouTube channel of the Acura NSX and Toyota Supra, as well as the Ferrari F40. For one of its newest flashback clips, Motorweek has exhumed an affordable five-car challenge of 1986's premiere hot hatches.
By today's standards, this is an eclectic field that features fondly remembered classics like the Volkswagen GTI 16-valve and Acura Integra. However, it also throws in some nearly forgotten contenders like the Dodge Colt Turbo and Ford Escort GT. The angular Toyota Corolla FX16 GT-S rounds out the group.
It's fascinating to watch Motorweek run the quintet through the slalom, down the drag strip and on various roads. What's most striking in this clip is the difference in the definition of a performance car between then and now. With its 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder, the GTI is the burliest of the contenders with 123 horsepower, but it still takes 8.8 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour. By today's standards, that would make it a plain-jane economy car, and not even a particularly quick one.

2015 Acura TLX confirmed for New York debut

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

Acura has announced that the 2014 New York Auto Show will see the arrival of the production TLX - the sedan that will replace both the TL and TSX in the company's lineup. The TLX was already previewed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show as a near-production concept model, meaning we already have a very solid idea of what the 2015 model will look like.
What we didn't know, was that Acura has finally gotten on board with some advanced powertrains, rather than just plucking stuff from the Honda parts bin. Okay, that's kind of a lie. We've seen both of the TLX's engines in previous Honda products - a 2.4-liter, VTEC four-cylinder and a 3.5-liter VTEC V6 from the Civic Si and Accord, respectively - but the transmissions will be totally new.
First, an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic will be paired with the base four-pot. The V6, meanwhile, will get a nine-speed automatic. Unfortunately, there's no mention of a manual gearbox. Acura's Precision All-Wheel Steer will be standard on the front-drive variants for both engines, while the 3.5-liter V6 will also be available with the brand's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive.
