Up for sale is a 2008 Acura TL-S with ~106,000 miles. It is a 1 owner vehicle, as I leased this car new and then decided to buy it out.

Overall car is in great shape and is extremely clean. I took great care of the car, used only Amsoil XL 5w20 in it. Transmission fluid (AMSOIL) was drained and filled (not flushed) every 30K miles. Break fluid (also AMSOIL) was changed regularly, and I only used OEM Brembo brake pads in this car.

Timing belt/water pump/ service was done at 100,000 (used AISIN kit with seals/gaskets in addition to serpentine belt and new NGK plugs).

I also replaced bluetooth unit and gas pedal sensor in the car with brand new OEM parts (both done at around 85,000). Both headlights were replaced with Osram Xenarc bulbs. I didn't have any other issues with the car.

The car was involved in a minor parking lot fender bender which resulted in scratches along the passenger side, so the lower right side of the car was painted, as well as the rear bumper. The front bumper is missing a clip on the right side, and it also could use some fresh paint. The car was driven for 6 years so it does have couple scratches and dents, but nothing major (please see pictures for more details). Wheels also have some road harsh on them.

Other than that the car is in great condition throughout, and runs and pulls like new. I put GoodYear Eagle F1 tires on it in January and they still have a lot life in them (thus far the best tires I've ever tried with this car).

FUEL ECONOMY (mpg): 16-18 city/26-33 highway

Thanks for looking, and don't hesitate to contact me for more pictures or details. I can accept a payment with a loan check, contact me with any questions.

2024 Acura Integra Type S revealed as the luxurious foil to the Type R

Tue, Apr 11 2023

The 2024 Acura Integra Type S is exactly what we imagined it might be. Acura took all the Civic Type R go-fast parts and shoved them into the Integra, but then added luxuries the Type R is missing and fettled with a few performance bits. Just as was teased ahead of time, the Integra Type S is fitted with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 320 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque — thatÂ’s up five horses over the Type R. ItÂ’s fitted with a six-speed manual transmission (no auto available) and sends its power through the front wheels via a helical-type limited-slip differential. The same dual-axis front suspension design pioneered by the Type R to quell torque steer is on display here, so you should expect little to no torque steer from the Integra. Of course, all that extra power meant Acura needed much more cooling capability, leading them to design a much more aggressive and air-hungry front end for the Integra. In fact, every single body panel from the A-pillars forward is unique to the Type S. The larger top and lower grilles and vented hood improve airflow by 170% versus a standard Integra, Acura says. Look to the sides, and youÂ’ll see dramatic fender flares both in front and rear that accommodate the massive 265-section-width Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires that wrap around 19-inch wheels — the Type S is 2.8 inches wider than a standard Integra. For those wondering, yes, itÂ’s the same tire package as youÂ’ll find on a Type R. Out back, youÂ’ll notice substantial diffusers flanking a new triple-tipped center-mounted exhaust. Said exhaust is less restrictive than the Type R, features an active exhaust valve and adjusts depending on the drive mode. Acura says a special “pops and bangs” auditory experience presents itself in “Sport+” mode. The suspension tuning is another differentiator between the Integra Type S and Civic Type R. It uses the same adaptive damper system as the Civic, but Acura adjusted the tune for the Type S in its Comfort, Sport and Sport+ driving modes, presumably to be more street-friendly. Acura emphasizes that this car delivers “ultimate street performance” numerous times in its press release, suggesting that the Integra is set up as more of a daily driver, while the Civic Type R is very much designed to excel on the racetrack.

2014 Acura RLX

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Earlier in the year, I reviewed a powder-blue Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, and I witnessed a group of high-school-aged girls ogling the car as it sat in my driveway. In my head, I found it to be a funny-yet-fitting scene that I didn't think of again until a 2014 Acura RLX showed up in my driveway. This time around, an elderly neighborhood couple stopped to give the big Acura sedan a closer look. The RLX is trying to shed past stereotypes of its predecessor, the Acura RL, just like the Beetle. Hoping to avoid becoming the de facto "grandpa car," Acura has completely reworked - and renamed - its flagship sedan.
As the bookend to the new entry-level ILX, the addition of the 2014 RLX might give Acura its strongest sedan lineup ever as the automaker looks to break the cycle of being a middle-of-the-road luxury brand. Stepping up to the big-boy table isn't going to be easy, though, as the competition keeps getting tougher. Forget cars like the Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5 Series, the Acura RLX is going to have its hands full with the likes of the Cadillac XTS, Lexus GS and Hyundai Genesis, not to mention a strong consortium of lower-priced, mid-luxury sedans like the Hyundai Azera, Toyota Avalon and Chevy Impala. The one thing all of these cars have in common is a reputation for being an old man cruiser.
I spent a week with the new RLX to see if it could shake the stigma of its outdated predecessor or if it would just leave me searching for the nearest early bird specials.

Good Samaritans lift car off of hit-and-run victim

Tue, Sep 8 2015

Strangers came to an elderly man's rescue in the Bronx over the weekend after he was dragged under a car by a hit-and-run driver. The 68-year-old man was hit by a red 1997 Acura Integra while crossing a street in a crosswalk on Saturday. Witnesses told CBS 2 the driver didn't stop after striking the man, but dragged him for a quarter mile before parking the car and fleeing on foot. People in the neighborhood who saw the crash ran to help the man as he lay injured underneath the car. It took seven bystanders to free the injured man. Some witnesses chased after the driver, but he managed to escape. Police did not identify the victim. They told the station that he is in critical, yet stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center. The driver who hit him has not been identified. This crash comes less than a week after another driver in the Bronx was caught on surveillance cameras backing into a 51-year-old woman and then driving away.
