2003 Acura Rsx Type-s Coupe 2-door 2.0l, Dc5 on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
|
This is my 03 Acura RSX Type-S that I purchased in 2004 from the local dealership. This car was my daily driver and currently has 134,466 original miles on it. The car has been on countless road trips with me. It has the typical wear and tear on the body with a few rock chips on the front bumper. What is to be expected with an 10 year old car. The car has one report on it that I am aware of. A friend of mine put his car in drive instead of reverse and hit my bumper. Being that I just got the car, I did not have the extra cash and had insurance pay to replace my rear bumper. The work was done at a reputable body shop here in Jacksonville. I am selling the car as it sits currently with Tein Super Street Coilovers, JDM Headlights with black housing, Powerstop Cross drilled rotors all around, JDM coin holder, Boomerang Armrest, Type-S Floor mats, Custom "Honda" H center caps, Honda "H" Emblems, Both front and rear mud flaps, Competition clutch and new flywheel, and JDM window visors. Only engine modification was the AEM V2 Intake. The car was taken for the transmission recall back in 04, Duval Acura took care of it. I replaced the dinky USDM Type-S emblem and chose the JDM Type-S emblem on the trunk. The car sits on 4 Falken 912's with plenty of life still on them. This is a great project if someone want's to continue from where it is, or just to leave as it is and drive.
CAR DOES NOT COME WITH THE TEIN HOOD DAMPERS, TEIN EDFC, OR KENWOOD DVD/NAVI FROM THE PICTURES, THOSE ARE ON OTHER AUCTIONS. Con's: Oxidation on headlights and roof, Clutch is still good but whines. Also, not stock, so it takes some getting used to. May need to replace the sunroof rubber gasket? Not sure, just heard that this should be replaced after a few years, and i have not. Being in Florida, the sun takes a toll on rubber and paint. Pro's: Tires have plenty of tread and life, AC is ice cold, Tein Super Street Suspension and all the modifications listed above, This car has never had engine modifications done except the AEM V2 Intake, Do not hesitate to take this car on a long road trip. Ask any questions prior to bidding and I will answer them. Arrange shipping or transportation prior to winning the bid. I can try and help, but car will not be released until payment is made and cleared. |

2023 Acura Integra First Drive Review: Just what we wanted
Thu, May 26 2022AUSTIN, Texas — Getting caught up in the hype machine of retired car names pulling a Tom Brady is easy to do these days — there are so many examples to point at, and they just keep coming. The 2023 Acura Integra adds to this growing list. Expectations are high; unreasonably high if you listen to internet commenters. An entire generation grew up, got their driverÂ’s licenses and graduated high school in what weÂ’ll call the Integra Drought that began when the last Acura Integra rolled off the line for the 2001 model year. And while Acura likes to think of the 2002-2006 RSX as the “fourth generation” since it was called Integra overseas, itÂ’s meaningful that it was not called that here in the United States. You can tell how meaningful it is by observing how big of a deal Acura is treating the revival of the “Integra” name today — at this point, youÂ’ve surely seen one of its numerous advertisements. In short, it symbolizes AcuraÂ’s serious return to a small, sporty and enthusiast-focused compact car. The outgoing ILX never captured the zeitgeist of sport compacts in the 2010s, and it faded into the background of a much larger and better small luxury car scene. It wasnÂ’t an Integra, and Acura never pretended that it was. To sort out what the new 2023 Integra is and isnÂ’t, Autoblog sent me (a longtime and current 2001 Acura Integra GS-R owner) to Austin, Texas, where I was able to drive it in the city, on wide-open Texas highways and through winding switchbacks. Unlike some new Acura models that were largely developed in the U.S., the Integra was developed in Japan. The design was handled at the Wako Studio outside of Tokyo, engineering work was done in Tochigi. Meanwhile, production is exclusively taking place in Marysville, Ohio, on the same line as the TLX. Many of those involved in the development of the new Integra also worked on previous generations of the car, so you can trust that Acura/Honda developed the new one with its history being top-of-mind. Just like Integras of the past, everything starts with the Civic. It shares a 107.7-inch wheelbase with the Civic, as both cars ride on the companyÂ’s Global Small Car Architecture. However, donÂ’t think that the Integra is just a Civic Hatchback with an Acura badge on it. Every single body panel on the car is 100% exclusive to the Integra, and the carÂ’s overall length and width are larger than any Civic — itÂ’s 6.8 inches longer than the Civic Hatchback and 1.8 inches longer than the Sedan.
Acura NSX GT3 racecar bares all in raw carbon
Thu, Jul 7 2016Acura slowly and dramatically revealed the NSX over a period of years. There were previews, concepts, and lots of teases before Acura finally showed us the whole thing. It's a different story for the racecar. And today, the wraps come off the FIA GT3-spec NSX to show all of its bare-carbon glory. The NSX GT3 strips away more than just the paint from the standard road car. The racecar comes sans hybrid system, meaning all the power from the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 is sent solely to the rear wheels. Modifications to the body include a large rear wing, underbody diffuser, and bigger hood vents for engine cooling. While the hybrid system may be gone, the NSX GT3 uses the same block, heads, valvetrain, crankshaft, pistons, and dry sump lubrication system as the road car. Power is sent through a six-speed sequential gearbox instead of the road car's nine-speed. The NSX GT3 will be built alongside the street version in Ohio. Honda engineers in Japan and North America shared in the development. Final GT3 homologation will be completed by the company's Honda Performance Division in Santa Clarita, CA.
