The car is a track car and has seen tracks like New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Watkins Glen, Nelson Ledges and numerous autocrosses. It has been modified with the following upgrades, most of which are for safety purposes and for weight reduction:
1) Custom exhaust from cat back using a Vibrant muffler. Probably one of the better sounding mufflers out there in my opinion.
2) Fujita cold air intake.
3) A/C removed for weight savings
4) Race (80A) engine mounts
5) Transmission has been rebuilt with new 2nd and 3rd gear sets. There are no grinds and shifts perfectly
6) Wavetrac LSD (new in July 2012)
7) Aluminum shifter bushings
8) Corbeau FX1 and FX1 Pro racing seats
9) OMP seat brackets
10) G-Force 5 point harness (out of date for next year)
11) Autopower roll bar with additional harness bar
12) Gutted interior from the front seats back
13) Sunroof removed and carbon fiber panel installed
14) Buddy Club Racing roll center adjusters
15) BC Racing Type-BR coilovers 10kg front 12kg rear), new front shock. This have been modified to provide additional front negative camber.
16) Eibach rear sway bar ans bushings
17) Energy suspension bushing throughout the car
18) Braided steel brake lines
19) Carbotech XP12 front pads and XP8 rear pads. These are ok for the street but are intended for the track.
20) Stock 16" wheels with worn Hankook R-S3s (tires will need to be replaced)
21) A set of barely used A048 track tires for use on the 16" rims
I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but that gives you an idea of what the car is. This car would make a great SCCA or NASA car as well as a track car with local car clubs.
The car does have a rebuilt title due to front end damage. I bought it with a rebuilt title and have not had issues with it. The damage was to the driver front corner. The dealer I bought the car from replaced the subframe and the lower control arm on the driver side. I have had not issues with respect to the accident. I have had this car up to 120 mph on the track and the car drives very straight with no clunking and any other weird noises.
The car is set up very well and can be fast. I have passed Corvettes, Porsche 911s, M3s, WRXs and Sti at the track. The engine has been kept stock for reliability purposes. I have never had a problem with the engine and it runs strong and runs clean. Oil has been changed multiple times a season with Amsoil oil. The same has been done with the transmission.
It has been a lot of fun and I really hate to see it go, but it's time to move onto something different. Please let me know if you have any questions. The car has been put away for the winter but is still road legal.

MotorWeek remembers the 1993 Acura Legend coupe
Fri, Sep 25 2015When discussing classic Acura models, the Legend, particularly as a two-door, doesn't get brought up nearly as often as the Integra or NSX. Perhaps that's because those sporty models were brash for their time, whereas this bigger car came off as a more conservative ride. For a MotorWeek Retro Review, John Davis and crew have looked back at a 1993 Legend coupe to give us a chance to remember Acura's luxury GT. In 1993, the newly revised 3.2-liter V6 managed 230 horsepower, and this one had power routed through a six-speed manual. It also came packed with luxury features, including automatic climate control and traction control. However, the Legend turned out to be more of a comfy cruiser than an all-out sports coupe for the reviewers. MotorWeek wasn't happy with the performance through the slalom, and the shifter wasn't perfect, either. Still, this clip is a great refresher on a model that's often overlooked. Related Video:
2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid goes on sale in April for $52,935
Wed, Mar 15 2017If you like the hybrid tech of the Acura NSX, but don't need a six-figure, 191-mph supercar as your daily driver, you might enjoy the extra room of the Acura MDX Sport Hybrid. It uses the same SH-AWD system with three electric motors as its racier stablemate – and puts a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter V6 up front – but seats up to seven people. It goes on sale in early April, and Acura has announced a starting MSRP of $52,935. The MDX Sport Hybrid starts at $7,910 higher than the base, front-wheel-drive MDX, but only $1,500 more than the comparably equipped, non-hybrid MDX SH-AWD. It offers 31 more ponies, for a total of 321 peak horsepower and of 289 pound-feet of torque. It's less expensive than the other Acura to use the Sport Hybrid system, the RLX sedan, which starts at $59,950. (That car incurs a price premium of $5,500 over its P-AWS-equipped FWD base model; there's no non-hybrid AWD RLX.) The MDX Sport Hybrid gets an EPA-rated 26 mpg city, 27 highway, and 27 combined. Compared to the conventional MDX SH-AWD's 18/26/21 mpg rating, its biggest fuel economy gains are to be found in city driving. The Sport Hybrid's figures are even slightly better than the 25/26/26 mpg Acura expected when the car debuted in New York last year. The MDX Sport Hybrid should be fairly entertaining to drive, too, at least for a utility vehicle. It's Acura's most powerful SUV to date, and it offers four driving modes: Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Sport+. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission handles the gear changes, but the driver can take control via a pair of paddles on the back of the steering wheel. The SH-AWD system's torque vectoring feature promises to help make the MDX proficient in the twisty bits, too. Related Video:
Is the original Acura NSX a perfect supercar?
Fri, Nov 20 2015The long-awaited arrival of the second coming of the Acura NSX has naturally brought with it many deep retrospectives on the first Acura NSX. Xcar is the latest with a stint in the time capsule, lining up three NSXs to sample at a track in the UK. There's the red wonder that started it all, the standard aluminum-bodied car that went on sale in 1990, so simple and easy-to-drive, extracting more joy than many thought possible from a 3.0-liter V6 with 'just' 270 horsepower and 210 pound-feet of torque. The 25-year-old exotic shows its years, but mostly because of an automatic transmission that dampens throttle response and doesn't like changing gears. The praises it earned in the day, however, still remain, namely excellent steering, handling, and feedback. After that comes laps in the first NSX Type R, the model that lost more than 250 pounds by having no air conditioning, sound deadening, or stereo, and lightweight tweaks like carbon seats and thinner glass. Although it the tuning makes it much harder, the presenter wants to know, "Why isn't Honda making a car like this today?" Then there's the 2002 model, the one that would only last three years before closing the door on a fifteen-year run. It got better at the same time as it got softer, but by then the NSX had nothing left to prove; it hit every one of its targets, it realigned the segment in ways we're still benefiting from, and for at least half of its run nothing else could touch it. Based on the reviews so far, that might include the brand new, very good and very complicated NSX. Check out the video above for Xcar's take.
