Up for sale is a very rare 1991 Acura NSX with 129,906 VERY WELL CARED FOR
MILES! This vehicle is in great
condition for the year & miles! It
is equipped with the Bullet Proof 270 Horsepower V-Tec DOHC V6 Motor and a 5
Speed Manual Transmission. The NSX is
EXTREMELY LIGHT weighing in at roughly 2,900 LBS with the all-aluminium
monocoque body, extruded aluminium alloy frame, and suspension. The vehicle handles outstanding with the
mid-engine setup. I have never driven a
vehicle that is more balanced & in tune for extreme driving
experiences. The Gloss Black Exterior is
extremely attractive and is complemented by its Black Leather Hides. The vehicle is equipped with the following
options: Leather Seats, Bose Sound System, Carbon Fiber Spoiler, Power Seats, Power
Door Locks, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Cruise Control, Staggered TSW 18”
rims in the front/19” TSW rims in the Rear, Near New Falken Tires, Painted
Brake Calipers, Front Cross Drilled Rotors, ETC… This vehicle is in great condition! There were roughly 8,000 NSX vehicles
manufactured from 1991-2005. Own a very
rare legendary reliable Exotic Sports car for a very fair price! Please contact Chase at (801)564-0629
for any additional questions or if you would like to schedule an appointment to
take a look at the vehicle. I will only
allow test drives to serious & qualified buyers.
The NSX is in great shape cosmetically, but does have some blemishes in the
exterior paint. There are some buff burn
marks in a few areas mainly on the edge of some of the fenders from a previous
owner & also some rocks chips on the front hood/fenders. I had the front bumper & mirrors repainted
as they received the brunt of the chips.
Keep in mind this vehicle is 22 years old. It isn’t perfect, but definitely looks nice. I wouldn’t consider it a show vehicle, but it
definitely gets a lot of attention. I
have owned this vehicle for nearly two years.
I don’t have to sell, but would like to invest the money from the sale
into my business. The previous owner
owns a shop called Turbo Lab out of Provo, Utah. He is an avid NSX specialist & maintained
the vehicle extremely well. The vehicle
has been maintained by him while the vehicle has been in my possession. The timing belt & water pump were
completed roughly three or four years ago at approximately 115K miles. The Falken tires were installed last season
& have less than 3K miles on them.
The TSW rims look good, but do have curb rash on all four rims. They are such a deep dish that unfortunately
this has happened. They could be
repaired by a wheel shop with no problems.
I replaced the original antenna with a fixed antenna as the motor in the
original assembly was going bad. The
rotors have been painted red to give the vehicle a nice contrast of color. The vehicle runs great & I wouldn’t
hesitate to drive it across the country.
The AC blows ice cold & works well.
On the interior of the vehicle there are a few blemishes that I would
like to note. All three of the sun
visors are starting to warp. I haven’t
noticed them much, but would like to disclose as much as possible. There is a small cover missing on the door
that can be replaced through Acura. Both
doors panels could use some touch up dye work that would make them look considerably
better. If you are serious about
purchasing this NSX you are more than welcome to contact me at (801)564-0629 so
I can give you a better one on one description.
A NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500.00 WILL BE DUE AT THE END OF THE
AUCTION. DEPOSIT WILL GO TOWARDS THE
PURCHASE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE. SOLD
IN AS-IS CONDITION. PAYMENT IS TO BE BY
CERTIFIED WIRED FUNDS OR CASH IN PERSON AT THE TIME OF PICK UP OR UPON DELIVERY
UNLESS OTHERWISE DISCUSSED. Thanks &
good luck!

Acura recalling nearly 20k new MDX crossovers over AWD driveshafts
Fri, 13 Dec 2013Acura is recalling nearly 20,000 of its 2014 MDX crossovers fitted with all-wheel drive over driveshaft concerns. The affected vehicles were built between May 6, 2013 and October 14, 2013, and have bolts that attach the driveshaft to the transmission that may not have been tightened properly.
Needless to say, an improperly secured driveshaft could lead to a number of problems, including everything from excessive drivetrain noise to full driveshaft detachment, a condition which could result in a loss of power and crash.
There's been no reports of accidents, injuries or deaths relating to the driveshaft issues. Acura will begin notifying all 19,197 owners in question of the recall, and will request that they report in for repairs, which will consist of tightening the driveshaft-attaching bolts. Scroll down for the official bulletin from NHTSA.
2021 Acura TLX Long-Term Update | Drive mode selector is a surprise delight
Tue, May 18 2021You may have seen last week my column espousing the sensory benefits of physical switchgear in cars. They can add a bit of fun and character in the smallest ways. As it turns out, our long-term Acura TLX has a great example of this idea: the drive mode selector. In most cars, drive modes are typically chosen via a nondescript button tucked away in the center console. Sometimes the selector is buried in an infotainment menu. But in the TLX, it’s a huge, gleaming knob placed front and center in the main control stack. It would be impossible to miss. ItÂ’s actually even more prominent than the buttons for shifting. 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec View 51 Photos With the size and placement, itÂ’s a nice dial to grasp, and works with smooth action and a solid stop in either direction for flipping through modes. But what really brings it together is the speed at which modes are selected, and the sound the infotainment system makes upon choosing one. In some cars it can take a long time for the system to acknowledge your selection and engage it, but the Acura activates it nearly as soon as youÂ’ve let the dial snap back to center. And it confirms your choice with sort of whoosh-y electronic clink through the speakers. ItÂ’s the kind of quick reaction and sound design you get from high-quality video game menus. All of these aspects make the TLX nicer to use and feel more premium. It doesnÂ’t feel like a hassle to change drive modes since it takes very little time and works well. ThatÂ’s especially welcome if you like driving it in the sport mode, since the car defaults to the normal mode on start-up. It also makes the car feel like it has fast-acting software befitting a premium car. It may seem like a small thing, but small things matter when cars have become so good. And I appreciate that Acura took its time with this seemingly little component. Related Video:
Comma.ai makes your car semi-autonomous for $999
Wed, Sep 14 2016At TechCrunch's Disrupt conference in San Francisco, Comma.ai founder George "Geohot" Hotz announced the launch of the Comma One semi-autonomous driving device. Hotz said at the conference that his company has worked on the Comma One for about a year, and it will be available at the end of the year for $999 and a $24 per month subscription fee. But aside from the reasonable price, which TechCrunch points out is possible thanks to off-the-shelf components, the appeal here is that it's an add-on to an existing car that can be installed at home by the car's owner. This gives people with normal cars the opportunity to have semi-autonomous features without having to buy an entire vehicle... that is, if you have a Honda or Acura with lane-keeping assist, since Comma One is currently only compatible with those vehicles. It remains to be seen if the company will add more vehicles to the list over time. The device is roughly the size of a large cell phone or aftermarket navigation system, and it has a screen on the front and a pair of cameras on the back. The computer combines information from the device's cameras and the car's radar sensors to understand what's happening and how to respond. Hotz explained at the conference that this system is similar in capability to the Tesla Autopilot system, and will be able to complete a drive, start to finish, without the driver having to touch anything. He did however emphasize that the driver must still pay attention in the event something goes wrong, comparing the experience to watching a young student driver. Hotz told TechCrunch that the device should start shipping at the end of the year. He also said that owners of compatible Honda products in the San Francisco area are eligible for beta testing, and can get involved by emailing him at george@comma.ai. So if you've been pining for a semi-autonomous vehicle of your own, but couldn't spring for a Tesla, you won't have to wait much longer. We should point out that we don't know yet how well the system works, though we hope to find out soon. Related Video:
