Up for sale is this super clean 2005 Acura MDX Touring 4WD with the DVD NAV package. This vehicle looks great inside and out and this vehicle is a ONE OWNER vehicle! Unfortunately, this vehicle was involved in fresh water flood and is being sold with a salvage title. We are not sure why this vehicle was branded a flood because we can see no sign of any water damage at all and the vehicle is in running order with all the electronics working perfectly (see my video). Every switch and button in this car is working the way it should. There is absolutely no reason this vehicle should have been branded a salvage title.
This MDX is super clean and has a Satin Black exterior with clean black leather interior accented by wood trimming.  The leather seats are in great condition and they are also heated and fully powered with lumbar and memory functions.  This MDX just turned 131k miles (which is low for this honda engine) and it runs and drives fine but there is a slight tick coming from the engine. It sounds like it has a lifter tick, which is very common in these engines and not a major problem at all. But the vehicle runs and drives and there is no warning lights on the dashboard of any type. The transmission shifts perfectly and all of the vehicle electronics are working the way that they should. Watch my video so you can see my operating all the vehicles features and you can also see me test driving the vehicle.
Every feature in the car is working the way it should including the A/C. The air conditioning in this car is ICE cold. This vehicle is ready for its new owner and was just totally detailed recently. This is a nice example of what a highline luxury SUV should be. Its comfortable, fully loaded to the max, and looks great! And it has all the luxury options that you could possibly ask for.
This MDX is loaded up with every possible option. It has full leather interior with heated seats and memory positions, DVD player with flip down TV screen, 3rd row seating with rear AC/heat controls, all wheel drive package, rear hatch mounted spoiler, glass moonroof, Navigation with 6 Disc Indash CD changer, upgraded sound system, xenon headlights, alloy wheels, fog lamps, steering wheels controls, MP3 capabilities, remote keyless entry, factory alarm system with REMOTE START, heated rear view mirrors, wireless bluetooth cell phone, ONSTAR system, full towing package, chrome factory running boards, and a luggage rack.
This MDX comes with the original Acura key, the remote key fob, and the remote start control. We also have all the original floor mats, the key for the lug nut locks, the full size spare, the jack and tire iron, the complete tool kit, and the harness connector for the towing winch. Its all here!
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle seems to be a nice SUV. The oil was just changed and there is an oil sticker on the windshield. The car has all matching Michellin tires all around. We changed all the motor and transmission fluids and the vehicle has good brakes, good rotors, and new windshield wiper blades. There is not much to pick on with this vehicle, it looks really nice and its hard to find them with all these options.
The exterior of the vehicle is clean. The paint is nice and glossy and all the body lines are perfect and straight. I dont not see any major dings or scratches at all on this vehicle. This vehicle is in great condition in my opinion and you can tell it was very well cared for. Its hard to find these cars in this shape with all these options.
The interior of the vehicle is also super clean. The seats have no cracks or rips and the leather is very firm and supple. The dash and door panels are also very nice and clean.  All the wood trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition. The interior is great condition in my opinion.
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. This vehicle is being sold with a salvage title. It is the buyers responsibility to know the laws and requirements for registering a salvage vehicle in their state. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within 24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said, feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any questions or concerns. My name is Matt and my number is 347-283-9008. Thanks and good luck bidding!

Acura prices hand-built TLX PMC Edition at $50,945

Wed, Jul 10 2019

Acura unveiled the 2020 TLX PMC Edition sedan at this year's New York Auto Show along with the MDX PMC Edition Prototype. Both models adopt the same hand-finished build processes employed at Honda's Performance Manufacturing Center to create the Acura NSX. In the case of the sedan, that means a body-in-white pulled off the line at Honda's Marysville plant so that PMC technicians can install the interior, drivetrain, suspension, wiring harnesses, and electronics. After that, the TLX PMC undergoes the same quality control checks conducted on the NSX, including a dyno run and water leak test. The price: $50,945, which includes $1,995 for handling and destination. In addition to the craftsmanship, the sedan combines two options that normally cannot be combined, the A-Spec and Advance Packages. They install the 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, the A-Spec's stiffer dampers and quicker steering ratio, plus sharper exterior components like the restyled bumper, larger exhaust tips, and gloss black roof panel. Comfort features include heated and ventilated front sport seats, leather and Alcantara seating, black leather steering wheel, black headliner, surround-view camera, heated rear seats, and Acura's 10-speaker ELS Studio audio system. Cosmetic go-fast changes are seen in the red instrument cluster and red accent lighting. The whole package gets drenched in Valencia Red Pearl paint formerly exclusive to the NSX but making one special appearance here, the crimson infused with mica, metal flake and "nano pigments" for keener color. Black, 10-spoke, 19-inch wheels anchor the sedan to the road. The U.S. will see just 360 examples of the TLX PMC, each one numbered with a plaque on the dash. Deliveries to dealers begin this month — each sedan transported in a single-car carrier. The entire production run is scheduled to take six months, after which we're told Acura will begin working on the MDX PMC.

Acura organizes new business division to confront falling sedan sales

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Honda and Acura North America have announced a major restructuring of operations in hopes of turning around Acura's flagging business. For 2013, sales for Acura's sedans dropped 10.4 percent, while its CUV sales grew by 21 percent. The newly formed Acura Business Planning Office will attempt to right the ship.
As part of the restructuring, Acura is promoting Erik Berkman from President of Honda R&D Americas to lead a new division called the Acura Business Planning Office. Berkman has been with Honda since 1982 and led development of the 2006 Accord. He was also the first US engineer to head North American research and development and has been head of Honda Performance Development since 2008. "Erik's appointment to the new Acura Business Planning Office is a clear indication of the high priority we place on Acura," said Honda spokesperson Jeffrey Smith to Automotive News.
American Honda Motor President and CEO Tetsuo Iwamura is also going to be working to improve the business. He has been elected chairman of American Honda's board, and has simultaneously taken the new position of Corporate Brand Officer to improve the management of the company's brands.

2024 Acura Integra Type S First Drive Review: Have we got news for you!

Mon, Jun 19 2023

If you were expecting the 2024 Acura Integra Type S to be a more comfortable, better-equipped and less-aggressive Honda Civic Type R, well, have we got news for you. As it turns out, that’s exactly what it is. You pretty much nailed it on the head. The Integra Type S is exactly the car we all expected after looking at the specs, seeing how closely its enhanced componentry mirrored that of HondaÂ’s halo car, and then extrapolating what a bit of polish, a bunch of equipment and slightly cushier suspension tuning might mean. If the latest Type R has been hailed for growing up in just the right ways, the Type S takes that concept further, sacrificing some go-fast potential for everyday drivability. If you like the Honda, thereÂ’s a chance youÂ’ll like the Acura even more. ThereÂ’s also a chance youÂ’ll like it less. Now, not surprisingly, the folks at Acura would rather shine the spotlight on how the Type S differs from the Integra A-Spec, which was previously the highest rung on the Integra ladder and the only way to get one with a six-speed manual transmission. Very well. Somehow, the visual jump between A-Spec and Type S seems much greater than Civic Si and Type R. When put side-by-side, the A-Spec Integra looks almost naked and a bit pedestrian. The 3.5-inch-wider front track wrapped in muscular fender flares stamped directly into the sheetmetal up front is the biggest difference. The rear track is 1.9 inches wider, and although it too gets widebody fenders, they are a shmish-shmosh of plastic pieces on the door, fender and bumper. But back to the front. The face is more aggressive in appearance, but the changes are as much functional as aesthetic. The shield grille is larger and fully open (versus partially sealed) to allow 170% more air to pass through on its way up a new vent in the aluminum hood that creates downforce. The large intake-looking areas forward of the wheels donÂ’t actually take in anything, but hidden openings on their inboard sides adjacent to the lower airdam channel air through three canards located behind those dud intakes. Air then exits behind those flared fenders, creating air curtains around the wheels. There is also a unique splitter up front, an almost-smooth floor and an enlarged diffuser, plus a lip spoiler that quite obviously wonÂ’t be creating as much downforce as the Type R's wing. That would be performance-oriented demerit No. 1, but also, grown-up point No. 1.
