Looks great especially given the age and mileage. Beyond the cosmetics of the vehicle, there are a few repairs I would recommend. It is going to need a water pump more than likely, as I last did it at 130,000 miles. Needs speed sensor, and transmission has a little bit of a hard 1st to 2nd shift. I have noticed a little bit of smoke at startup from the tailpipe and this could mean some engine work is required. I do not have the time to start working on it, so I've set Buy-It-Now Price for this vehicle well under Kelley Blue Book. Sold as-is to serious bidders and somebody who can put some work in mechanically to make this great Legend as perfect as it can possibly be. Auction will also include the factory 6-disc cd changer and Bose head unit. I took these out when I put the Pioneer cd player in."

This 1995 Acura Legend L has been well cared for and I purchased it from a private seller in Houston, TX in 2006. It has served me well and been pretty much problem free for me. I am selling it with the Pioneer deck I had put in a few years ago and it has an Aux input that will let you play music from a smartphone, iPod, or other music device. CD player plays mp3/wma files and CDs and CD-Rs and rewritable CD-Rs.

The moonroof works great without any issues, the A/C blows cold at all speeds, and power locks and windows work except for the right front door lock not responding to the lock/unlock button, so may need some attention.

The tires are BF Goodrich all-season tires with a lot of tread and have been rotated and balanced over the 15,000 miles at 5k intervals, and the alignment is still within spec, so the tires are in fantastic shape. I just had an alternator installed so it's almost brand new.

I am now buying a minivan for my growing family and no longer keeping this vehicle, but it will make a great car for somebody who can do the maintenance it needs to be perfect.

Shipping will be responsibility of the buyer and will help as much as I can to get the vehicle ready for transport to you.  I have two original keys for the Legend and they will be shipped with the vehicle.  Title will be sent by USPS Certified mail once full payment received and vehicle has been picked up.

Good luck and happy bidding!

On Sep-23-13 at 22:42:50 PDT, seller added the following information:

I am adding this to the auction as of 9/24/13 12:36AM CST.  I drove the vehicle today and noticed the engine getting hot while driving to work and the temp needle moving above the center away from Cold toward Hot.  I mentioned in the initial listing that the vehicle may need a water pump and although I am not a mechanic, I'm thinking that maybe this has something to do with the water pump.  The temperature would go back down after a few seconds and then would creep up a little toward the H for Hot again, and so on until I got to work.

I wanted to list this because about 3 months ago I had the radiator replaced because it had a major leak.  The radiator has not leaked since, and like I mentioned, the vehicle also has a new alternator.  The fuel pump was also replaced nearly 4 months ago.  If you have any questions about this vehicle, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you.

Watch two Acura NSXs scorch the Nurburgring

Sat, Aug 12 2017

Some intrepid spy shooter captured these two Acura NSXs blasting around the Nurburgring. Without being there in person with a decibel meter, it's hard to tell if they're necessarily louder than stock cars, but they sure seem quick. Why test the cars now, when they've been on sale for a while now? Rumors are swirling that this could be a hardcore variant. It's unclear if Honda would call it a Type R, but a midlife refresh with a bit more power or a special limited edition with some extra kick wouldn't be unprecedented. The original NSX had several such models, and recent sports cars like the S2000 had low-volume editions, like the Club Racer variant in the United States and the Type S in Japan. Watch the video and draw your own conclusions about what this is or isn't. One thing's for sure: It's not a pure-EV variant. In other things recent about the NSX, we learned last month that an NSX GT3 non-hybrid race car version will go on sale soon. And here's our first drive of the US Acura-badged NSX from back in 2015. And here's another video from inside the cockpit during an open track day back in June. Next-gen Acura TLX spied out testing in heavy camouflage

Wed, Aug 14 2019

We’re sure you all remember that stunning Acura Type S Concept from yesterday. Acura said itÂ’s meant to influence the next-gen TLXÂ’s design, and lo and behold, here is the next-gen TLX. Of course, Acura has no intentions of letting us see the production car anytime soon, so weÂ’re treated to a heavily cladded prototype in the photos here. Looking at it in profile, the camouflaged car looks a whole lot like the Type S Concept we saw yesterday. The short rear overhang is similar, but the front of the production car looks like it hangs out over the front wheels a little further – it still shares the concept's overall long-hood/short-deck proportions, though. The roof tapers down into the decklid at a shallow angle, similar to the concept car. WeÂ’re sad to see the same quad exhaust isnÂ’t protruding from the rear bumper of this tester. Instead, it gets a dual exhaust with wide, rectangular outlets on both sides. We think the car weÂ’re looking at here is likely a regular TLX, and not the spicy Type S variant most likely seen last year. ThereÂ’s one interior photo our shooter was able to snag, showing a similar infotainment screen as that used in the new RDX, something we fully expect for the production car. That touchpad system is far superior to Acura infotainment systems of the past, but it still isnÂ’t perfect. An analog tachometer is visible off to the left, indicating that the regular TLX trims probably won't introduce a fully digital instrument cluster. Not that we'd expect that; even the new RDX maintains analog gauges in its top spec. However the TLX story plays out, it wonÂ’t hurt if the production car looks just like the well-received Type S Concept. ItÂ’s unclear how long weÂ’ll have to wait to see the car in full, but we'll keep you posted.

2025 Acura MDX ditches touchpad, embraces touchscreens, Google, Bang & Olufsen

Tue, Apr 9 2024

The 2025 Acura MDX sees a number of updates and upgrades, especially inside, where a new infotainment system is a potential game-changer for Acura's flagship SUV as well as, potentially, the entire brand. Now, at first glance, adding a 12.3-inch touchscreen to a new luxury car shouldn't be that big of a deal, even if it features over-the-air updates and Google built-in tech. It could even evoke an eyeroll if you found out that both the screen and interface are basically the same as you'd find in a range-topping Honda Accord. The reason it's significant is because of what it replaces. Acura's True Touchpad interface has been unloved since it debuted on the current-generation RDX and subsequently spread throughout the Acura lineup to everything not named Integra. This interface that paired a dash-top screen with a unique touchpad on the center console (pressing on the touchpad would select an icon on the corresponding spot on the screen) was not exactly a critical darling. The entire system felt like Acura was being contrarian, as if a touchscreen or even knob-and-display setup, were too basic. Well, they basic now. Even if the new touchscreen is shared with an Accord, so what? It's sensibly laid out, looks good enough and Google built-in means an enhanced version of Google Maps is on board along with various Apps from the Google Play store. And yes, Apple CarPlay is still present.  With the True Touchpad truly gone, real estate opened up on the center console. There's a new, wide, kinda shallow bin that might be useful for something but seems a bit vestigial. It's located where the volume knob used to be — that's migrated west to where the touchpad was and therefore closer to your hand. The Touchpad's wrist rest that used to hover over the wireless phone charger is obviously no longer there, either, making it easier to place and remove your phone.  2025 Acura MDX with Advance Package View 7 Photos Another big-time change for 2025 is the addition of Bang & Olufsen sound systems instead of the Panasonic/ELS upgrades that have been an Acura staple for two decades. Although the ZDX is technically the first Acura to get a Bang & Olufsen system (the 2025 MDX will arrive at dealers after Acura's electric love baby with GM), the MDX gets the most powerful version. Not just in terms of an Acura Bang & Olufsen offering, but most powerful Acura sound system ever.
