Here is your chance!
History on the Acura Integra GS-R:
The Acura Integra GS-R model was first developed in 1992. It was only available in the second and third generation Integras.
The 2nd generation Integra GS-R model is equipped with a 1.7 liter VTEC (variable valve timing) engine which is capable of 170 horsepower.
The GS-R was the second car, after the Acura NSX, to get the VTEC engine. In the 1990s, the Integra GS-R was one of the most powerful non-turbocharged 4-cylinder cars available in the American market.
Information about the VTEC Engine:
VTEC engines are known to be reliable, so reliable that Honda or Acura has never had a warranty claim on the VTEC systems. The Specific engine that is in the Integra GS-R is known as the B18C1. The GS-R came equipped with a dual-stage intake manifold, ported exhaust manifold and a displacement increase from the second generation. The Variable valve timing technology was developed to get max power out of an engine yet still maintain reliability. The GS-R has a specific revolution per minute (rpm) where the VTEC will engage. When VTEC engages the camshaft lobes that are designed for lower rpm will switch over to the camshaft lobes that are designed more for higher rpm’s. VTEC is a solution for reliability and performance.
Production Numbers and rarity of this Integra:
Lets just say this took weeks and weeks and weeks to figure out. The following figures are based on running vins until they stop in sequence. Finally, I discovered that the rarest color was teal, with only 400 produced between the two years. To further speak to its rarity, aside from the low production numbers, this car came from the factory as teal.
1992 GSR (USA)
3120 (#000001 and #000002 unaccounted for) = 3118
1993 GSR (USA)
851 (#000001 unaccounted for) = 850
USA Total: = 3968
1992 GSR (Canada)
602 = 602
1993 GSR (Canada)
256 (#800001 unaccounted for) = 255
Canadian total: = 857
Total North American GS-R Production = 4825
That brings the total to 4825 (accounted for by Carfax)
Information on this particular Acura Integra GS-R:
This is a super rare and highly desirable Acura Integra GS-R. The original owner did the paint and body kit in the early 2000's. He trailered it to car shows once the paint and body were completed and put very few miles on it between then and the time he sold it to the second owner a couple of years ago. This vehicle has the original VTEC motor and transmission in it. Only 86,000 actual miles. It runs and shifts absolutely perfect. A thing to note about a worn VTEC motor, is the VTEC won't actually engage when it is supposed to, this VTEC engages flawlessly. The motor is bone stock with the exception of an air intake. The transmission is bone stock. The exhaust is after market and sounds excellent. This GS-R has not been beat on and has always been maintained to the highest standards. The interior on the vehicle is bone stock with the exception of a 6 CD changer mounted in the glove box, after market CD player, and different shift knob. There are no cracks anywhere in any of the plastic. No rips or tears in any of the seats. The headliner is perfect. Everything works perfect. AC, heat, sunroof, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, high beams, low beams, turn signals, and brake lights. This vehicle has never seen a winter and has never had any rust. There are no dents or dings on the body, which speaks to how well this vehicle has been stored and cared for. I took the vehicle out of storage to only take pictures. There was no expense spared on the custom paint job and body kit. The engine bay and door jams were all carefully painted. This Acura sports custom KONIG wheels and tires, that give it a great street look. The wheels are in perfect shape, no pitting or curb rash($380/wheel). The front left headlight has a few splintering cracks, and there are two blemishes which came from rock chips on the front right part of the hood.
You will be hard pressed to find another GS-R with these low of miles and history. Most of these cars have 200,000 miles on them or have been wrecked. I wouldn't be surprised if this GS-R is one of the lower mile ones still on the road and in existence. Excellent car to drive and enjoy, bring to car shows, or add some performance to under the hood. If you know this motor, you'll probably have a ton of fun doing that. I have put a very low reserve on this car. Please ask any and all questions. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you and Happy Bidding!

2021 Acura TLX to revive Type S, get turbocharged V6
Wed, May 20 2020The 2021 Acura TLX will revive the sporty Type S model after a 10-year moratorium, and this time around, it's getting a turbocharged V6, further setting it apart from other sedans in the Honda corporate family. Acura says the new TLX will draw heavily upon the styling shown on two of its recent concepts: the Precision, which was shown in 2016, and the Type S, which was shown last year. The evolution of the styling is obvious even from Acura's darkened teaser image, which depicts a slightly more curvaceous take on 2019's Type S while retaining most of the same key design elements, including the quad-outlet exhaust and pronounced underbody diffuser. Acura's announcement was otherwise very light on details, saying only that the 2021 TLX will be "...the quickest, best-handling and most well-appointed sport sedan in Acura history, with the Type S being the model’s performance pinnacle." Apart from the displacement (3.0 liters), we don't yet know anything about the turbocharged V6 that will be utilized in the Type S. It will be unique to this model at launch, however Acura's announcement describes this as the "first" implementation of this engine, implying that it will likely make its way under the hood of other Acura models down the line. Autoblog reached out to inquire as to whether a manual transmission is under consideration for the Type S model; an Acura representative said only that the company is not yet ready to get into specifics on the 2021 TLX's features. Acura will debut the new TLX online at its dedicated microsite on May 28 at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT).Â
2015 Acura TLX confirmed for New York debut
Wed, 19 Mar 2014Acura has announced that the 2014 New York Auto Show will see the arrival of the production TLX - the sedan that will replace both the TL and TSX in the company's lineup. The TLX was already previewed at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show as a near-production concept model, meaning we already have a very solid idea of what the 2015 model will look like.
What we didn't know, was that Acura has finally gotten on board with some advanced powertrains, rather than just plucking stuff from the Honda parts bin. Okay, that's kind of a lie. We've seen both of the TLX's engines in previous Honda products - a 2.4-liter, VTEC four-cylinder and a 3.5-liter VTEC V6 from the Civic Si and Accord, respectively - but the transmissions will be totally new.
First, an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic will be paired with the base four-pot. The V6, meanwhile, will get a nine-speed automatic. Unfortunately, there's no mention of a manual gearbox. Acura's Precision All-Wheel Steer will be standard on the front-drive variants for both engines, while the 3.5-liter V6 will also be available with the brand's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive.
1997 Acura Integra Type R auctioned for $63,800
Mon, Oct 1 2018The Acura Integra, also known as the Honda Integra, was a front-wheel-drive sport compact car that neatly slotted between the Honda Civic and the Honda Accord. The Integra's sportiness wasn't just in its design, as there were a number of quite powerful engine choices for it, and some handling improvements. The mid-to-late-1990s second-generation car was available as the nearly-200-horsepower Type R version, which made a lasting impression no matter if you were an Acura customer, a Honda customer, a British motoring journalist putting the car through its paces in Wales or a PlayStation Gran Turismo gamer driving a virtual Integra at a fictional race track. The bug-eyed, sharply detailed Integra Type R, complete with a strengthened chassis, lightened spec, white wheels and a sizable rear wing, was an instant classic, and two decades later their values are definitely on the rise. No wonder, as they've been called the best-handling front-wheel-drive cars made, and there's some strong competition for that title. However, while the Integra Type R was sold new in limited numbers (just 320 units for the U.S. market in 1997), it wasn't envisioned just how much they could be worth in 2018. The past weekend, a certain high point was reached, as a 1,200-mile, Championship White, Acura-badged example was sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction for an eye-watering $63,800 with fees included. That is roughly double what the car cost new, no matter how new-condition it is. Perhaps the $60K+ sale price for the Type R was foreboded by a particular Florida-based car selling for $40,750 in late June, on Bring a Trailer. That car wasn't even in as-new condition, as it had already accumulated almost 60,000 miles. While these prices might reflect in the values of other used Integra Type R cars and even the more regular-issue, 170-horsepower Integra GS-R models, it might turn out be a blessing for the existing examples not ravaged by road salt or modding in usual Honda fashion, or stolen and parted out: As the values for Type R's keep climbing, it provides even more of an incentive for Type R owners to keep their cars in good or excellent shape. We're just hoping for a sweet spot there, so that the Integras won't all be mollycoddled and cocooned for fear of depreciation — these cars need to be used, out on the road with the VTEC singing, nearing 8,500 rpm. That's what they were designed for.
