I've got a super clean and super reliable Acura 2.3CL coupe for sale.  I'm the third owner, first owner was an elderly lady, second owner was my father he purchased the car with 26k in 2006.  I have every service record from the original owner who took it to the dealer for every service.  When I took over ownership I performed all the oil changes myself but its major service has records.  I even have the original window sticker!! (Sold for $25k in 1999)

It's Taffeta white exterior with tan leather interior.  It's a rare 5 speed manual transmission. The manual is much preferred over the automatic transmission because all the CL automatic transmissions were known to fail before even reaching 100k.

The 2.3L SOHC engine runs like a top doesn't leak, drip or burn a drop.  The dealer sticker says 24 MPG in the city 31 on the highway but I've gotten 36 on the highway on long distance trips.

The car is in amazing shape and gets compliments all the time on how clean it is.  Most people think it's a much newer car.

Here's a rundown of what the car was equipped with from the factory:
-Leather interior with power driver seat (rear seats have been sat in maybe 4 times ever)
-Automatic Climate Control system
-Moonroof
-Spoiler ($795 dealer option)
-Acura Wheel locks ($79 dealer option)
-Splash Guards ($159 dealer option)
-Cassette player ($300 dealer option)
-Trunk mat & Cargo net ($195 dealer option)
-Hand pin-striping ($249 dealer option)

The car is up to date on service and I took meticulous care of it (ask some previous girlfriends and they'll say the car got more attention than they did).
-Timing belt and water pump service was done 4k miles ago
-At the same time, all 4 rotors were replaced with drilled and slotted rotors, new brake pads, and stainless steel brake lines
-Transmission fluid flushed and changed with Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil
-Spark plugs changed
-Newer tires (10k on them if that) They are Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires ultra-high performance all-season tires ($120 each)
-The steering rack was leaking when my father first purchased the car so that was replaced as well.
-Driver side window motor was replaced as well
-New battery last year

The car has had the following modifications done:
(NOTE: I have ALL stock parts and they will come with the car so you can revert the car to stock if you so choose)
-Kaixen HIDs (white color)
-Tein Basic coilovers.  Fully adjustable amazing coilovers.  Car is lowered but is still functional (I have speed bumps in my job's parking lot and I don't want to worry about scraping so it's a conservative drop)
-PSPEC Short Shifter (rare part is discontinued can't get it anywhere anymore)
-Weather-tech interior rubber mats (tan in color matches the interior)
-AEM Cold Air Intake
-DC Headers
-GReddy Evo2 cat-back exhaust (nice and deep sounding not ricey at all)
-Wings West front lip (professionally painted and mounted also a discontinued part that is very rare)
-Megan lower tie bar

The car has only one issue.  The ABS light is on (the drivers side rear ABS sensor needs to be replaced it's an $85 part from Rockauto. com)  Its been on for a while I just never got around to taking care of it.  The exterior is 9/10 and the interior is a definite 10/10.  The only issues with the exterior is a small chip on the rear bumper from someone backing into my bumper in a parking lot (it's the size of a dime I'll show it in a picture)  and there is a small rust bubble on the rear driver wheel well (this is smaller than a dime)  it's really small most wouldn't notice it but I'm very particular about my cars.  Lastly, some scumbag hoodlum stole the Acura emblem off the trunk of the car.  It's a $5 part at the dealer.

The only reason for selling is I have 3 cars and I don't have time to enjoy all of them.  Plus, I'm downsizing so I can get money for down payment for a house.  The car is located in Milford, CT and can be seen most days of the week.  I will help arrange shipping and will deliver the car within 30 miles for free.  Contact me here on eBay or text my cell phone (2o3) 8o3-3613.  Serious inquiries only, no tire kickers or joy riders.  Deposit of $500 due within 24 hours of winning.

Photos will come tomorrow.

Comma.ai makes your car semi-autonomous for $999

Wed, Sep 14 2016

At TechCrunch's Disrupt conference in San Francisco, Comma.ai founder George "Geohot" Hotz announced the launch of the Comma One semi-autonomous driving device. Hotz said at the conference that his company has worked on the Comma One for about a year, and it will be available at the end of the year for $999 and a $24 per month subscription fee. But aside from the reasonable price, which TechCrunch points out is possible thanks to off-the-shelf components, the appeal here is that it's an add-on to an existing car that can be installed at home by the car's owner. This gives people with normal cars the opportunity to have semi-autonomous features without having to buy an entire vehicle... that is, if you have a Honda or Acura with lane-keeping assist, since Comma One is currently only compatible with those vehicles. It remains to be seen if the company will add more vehicles to the list over time. The device is roughly the size of a large cell phone or aftermarket navigation system, and it has a screen on the front and a pair of cameras on the back. The computer combines information from the device's cameras and the car's radar sensors to understand what's happening and how to respond. Hotz explained at the conference that this system is similar in capability to the Tesla Autopilot system, and will be able to complete a drive, start to finish, without the driver having to touch anything. He did however emphasize that the driver must still pay attention in the event something goes wrong, comparing the experience to watching a young student driver. Hotz told TechCrunch that the device should start shipping at the end of the year. He also said that owners of compatible Honda products in the San Francisco area are eligible for beta testing, and can get involved by emailing him at george@comma.ai. So if you've been pining for a semi-autonomous vehicle of your own, but couldn't spring for a Tesla, you won't have to wait much longer. We should point out that we don't know yet how well the system works, though we hope to find out soon. Related Video:

Honda recalls 2.7 million vehicles for new air bag inflator defect

Wed, Jan 22 2020

WASHINGTON — Honda said on Tuesday it will recall 2.7 million older U.S. vehicles in North America for potentially defective air bag inflators. The defect involves a different type of Takata inflator than those that have prompted the largest-ever auto safety recalls worldwide covering more than 42 million U.S. vehicles by 19 automakers with Takata air bag inflators. The new recall covers Honda and Acura automobiles from the 1996 through 2003 model years. Honda said it is aware of one field rupture of an inflator in the new recall campaign — a 2012 crash in Texas that resulted in an injury — and two in junkyards in Japan. The campaign covers 2.4 million U.S. vehicles and 300,000 in Canada, Honda said, adding that it has not determined recall numbers for other countries. Takata issued a new defect notice in November for inflators from four automakers, including Honda. Honda said all three vehicles "potentially were exposed to unusually high amounts of moisture prior to the rupture events." Honda said the recalls cover driver front airbag inflators manufactured with non-azide propellant and said "all inspections and repairs will begin in approximately one year, as replacement parts from alternative suppliers are not yet available." Honda said it "regrets any inconvenience or distress that this situation may cause to our customers as we seek to resolve this situation. Honda believes that the risk of improper airbag deployment in its vehicles remains very low at this time, but we cannot absolutely guarantee the performance of any recalled part." Related Video:

The Acura Integra is coming back, but what exactly will it be?

Fri, Aug 13 2021

Yep, the Acura Integra is back! Acura has offered limited information about the revival of its compact nameplate, and while we suspect it will replace the ILX outright when it debuts in 2022, Honda's luxury subsidiary has yet to cough up any more useful information. That's fine; it means we can fill the void with baseless speculation educated guesses as to what form the next-generation Integra will take.  While we're all excited about its resurrection, Autoblog is not a hive mind, and each of us has a different idea of what a new Integra could (or should) be. Here are our takes, for whatever they're worth, which could easily be absolutely nothing.  Associate Editor Byron Hurd: Yes, that's a photo of a CR-Z model at Honda's design studio. Bear with me here; I promise I'm going somewhere with this. Frankly, as cool as it would be to see Acura take the fight to the likes of the Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz CLA and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, I can't help but look at the (lack of) success of the ILX and wonder whether there's any hope for something so formulaic.  While I'm sure this will offend at least a few "purists," I'd love to see Honda leverage whatever equity the Integra nameplate has left to pivot its more mainstream cars toward electrification. Sure, an all-wheel-drive take on a Civic Si or Type-R sounds really cool, but how about an accessible fastback coupe or sedan with a scaled-down version of the NSX's powertrain, flipped front-to-back? Base it on a smaller (turbocharged?) ICE, stick the electrified axle in the rear, and voila. Ford has proven that hybrids don't have to be expensive; heck, even the CR-Z was cheap back in the day.  As bothersome as this idea may seem to the faithful, consider this: The ILX wasn't a bust because it was called "ILX." Small sedans just aren't worthwhile investments for automakers right now, so as abhorrent as hybridization or electrification may seem, the alternative could very well be a subtle crossoverification of the Integra nameplate. Does that sound more appealing? Because I sure don't think so.  News Editor Joel Stocksdale: So, just as was the case with the Integra and even the ILX, I have no doubt the new Integra will be based on the Honda Civic. And I think that will probably be a very good thing. The new 11th-generation Civic seems to be as good if not better than the outgoing one, so add some nicer interior pieces and some sound-deadening, and it should be a great, roomy entry-level luxury alternative.
