The Vehicle..........2004 Volvo XC70 Cross Country Wagon in dark red with a sand leather interior. This Volvo is in GREAT CONDITION and RUNS BEAUTIFULLY. It has been checked for MA state inspection compliance. Features include the 2.4 liter 5 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, automatic climate control air conditioning, power sliding glass sunroof, power windows, heated power seats w/ memory, power door locks, power mirrors, cruise control, tilt & telescopic steering wheel, delay wipers, Thule roof rack, am-fm-cassette stereo with CD, alloy wheels, and much more.
Its Condition..........GREAT! The engine runs smoothly with no skips, noises, or vibrations. The transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears, and all other mechanical systems seem to function properly. This car was safety checked on 12-28-13 and found to in safe condition. It will pass Massachusetts state inspection. The interior is beautiful. There are no worn, torn, or stained areas on the seats, carpets, or headliner. The seats are supportive and comfortable. All other interior panels look excellent. The paint and body are very good. There are no dents, rusted areas, or serious scratches anywhere on the body. There is a minor dent and hole in the LR quarter panel (see photo), but nothing that detracts from the overall great look of this XC70. The paint appears original, and has an outstanding shine. We drove this car on a 12 mile test drive over varied road surfaces in cold weather. It was a smooth and pleasant experience with a powerful engine, comfortable interior and great stereo. There are no shakes, rattles, or vibrations, and the ride is just as smooth and comfortable as you would expect. Things you should know..........I try hard to accurately describe all of our cars. Most are trade-ins to local new car dealers. We have not owned or driven these vehicles as daily transportation. The description is the result of a short test drive over varied road surfaces and a visual inspection while the vehicle is parked. I am not a mechanic and I do not guarantee that my description of problems (if any) is accurate or complete, but I try very hard to be thorough and honest, and my reputation reflects that effort. Please remember that these are used vehicles and you should expect a normal amount of wear for the year and mileage, but any serious known defects would be noted above. Local bidders are encouraged to see, drive, and inspect this vehicle prior to bidding. The Details..........Please leave a $200 deposit at the end of the auction through ebay checkout and Paypal. The balance is due within 7 days in cash, or by wire transfer. I’ve been burned by official looking bank checks that were made on a home computer so we no longer accept checks of ANY kind. We add a $250 doc fee to all vehicle purchases. If your state requires notarized paperwork or special forms, please let me know before you arrive. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS, with no warranty expressed or implied except that it is guaranteed to pass Massachusetts state inspection. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I'll help in any way that I can. Massachusetts does NOT offer temp plates. If you plan to drive the car home, you will need to bring your own license plates. |

2025 Volvo EX30 First Drive Review: Little big time
Mon, Nov 6 2023BARCELONA, Spain — Priced from $36,245, including $1,295 for destination, the new EX30 is VolvoÂ’s least-expensive car. But make no mistake, thereÂ’s nothing cheap about this subcompact electric crossover. From its solid road manners to its clever use of interior textiles, this little cutie is comfortable, competent and bursting with charm. We'll get the EX30 in Single Motor Extended Range and Twin Motor Performance variants when it goes on sale in the U.S. early next year. Both models are powered by a 69-kilowatt-hour battery pack – 64 kWh of which is usable – that can be replenished at a maximum charging rate of 153 kW. Volvo says youÂ’ll only need 27 minutes to take the EX30 from a 10% to 80% state of charge, but thatÂ’s assuming the battery is properly preconditioned, the charger youÂ’re plugged into actually works correctly, the planets are all aligned, etc. The Single MotorÂ’s, um, single motor is mounted to the rear axle, producing 268 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. ThisÂ’ll get the EX30 to 60 mph in a perfectly respectable 5.1 seconds, and Volvo estimates a 275-mile driving range for this configuration – though not if youÂ’re testing that aforementioned launch time on the regular, of course. The Twin Motor Performance has the same rear drive unit, but adds a second motor to the EX30Â’s front axle for a total output of 422 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. ThatÂ’s a whole heck of a lot of power – even for a 4,140-pound crossover – and my goodness, does this EX30 scoot. Put the EX30 Twin Motor into its Performance AWD setting, stomp the throttle and youÂ’ll hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. That makes the EX30 VolvoÂ’s quickest accelerating production car ever. Nifty as that is, however, after a day of driving the EX30 on winding Spanish country roads and darting through traffic in BarcelonaÂ’s busy city center, I think the Single Motor is the way to go. Remember, even the pokiest EVs still feel quick thanks to instant electric torque, and at no point does the Single Motor EX30 ever feel like it canÂ’t get out of its own way. Beyond that, though, the EX30 Single Motor is simply more fun to drive. At 3,858 pounds, the rear-drive EX30 is 282 pounds lighter than the AWD version, and all that weight comes off the front end. This makes VolvoÂ’s tiny EV feel more playful and agile while cornering, especially with the well-weighted steering – not to mention the fun-to-handle squircle wheel.
Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]
Wed, Jan 14 2015Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show
