2006 Volvo V70 R Wagon 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Kellogg, Idaho, United States
2006 Volvo V70R Black with Nordkap interior. 157006 miles. Just had $5,800 worth of service done including new timing belt ,water pump, brakes (pads and rotors) and more within the last 1200 miles and the parts and labor are under waranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles the 8 page receipt goes with the new owner. Oil & filter were changed less than 200 miles ago using Mobil 1. Mechanically the car is 99% I only say that because it needs head light bulbs, I use it so little in the time I've owned it I haven't needed to put new bulbs in. The passenger side headlight lens in broken and I have the new lens to replace the broken one as well as a new one for the driver side (they only sell them new in pairs) I have installed USASpec iPod and iPhone controller into the stock stereo. It also comes with a set of studded Hancook iPike snow tires with less than 400 miles on them. The car has minor dents and the interior is not perfect either hence the price it does have every option except navigation. You won't find a better 06 V70R for a daily driver than this I promise you and for sure not at this price. If your going to try and low ball don't waste our time. This is a serious car and at a seriously low price. Eat your buddies in their new Camero while you haul the dog and a load of groceries all while driving the one of the safest cars ever made then throw the studs on and do it all winter as well. Truly an amazing car. Also throwing in the oil filter wrench and an ice scrapper/brush as well.

Volvo 850 T5 R pickup conversion is ready for a cool yule
Mon, 10 Dec 2012There are plenty of ways to get your holiday tree home from the farm, but few are so classy as this Volvo 850 ute. Built in Sweden and shipped to Belgium, the car wears all of the necessary kit to pass as a 850R, and with a turbocharged 2.3-liter five cylinder under the hood, this creation should have no trouble dashing through the snow. Looks like a mighty fine use of an otherwise derelict Volvo wagon to us, though we have to imagine all that torque steer and no weight over the aft would make for all sorts of silliness once the roads went slick.
Still, if it were our Sawzall, we'd be happier with the keys to a certain BMW M5 utility in our pocket. Or, you know, the 3 Series conversion BMW whipped up not too long ago. You can head over to Autofans.be for a closer look at the 850 ute.
Heico jacks up Volvo V40 Cross Country to create XC40
Sat, 24 May 2014Because life isn't fair, we don't get the stylish wagon known as the Volvo V40 in the United States. That means we don't get its soft-roading cousin, the V40 Cross Country. So, naturally, if Volvo tuner Heico Sportiv ever produces this ruggedized, XC-styled V40 Cross Country, it most certainly wouldn't cross the pond, either.
That makes us sad, because despite holding a tiny bit of contempt for small luxury crossovers, this is a very, very cool looking vehicle. It's just a render right now, but Heico Sportiv is looking to offer the kit to V40 Cross Country owners who want a smaller version of the Volvo XC60.
Converting a V40 CC into an XC40 would start with some suspension tweaks. The ride height would be raised by just over an inch, in order to improve the looks of the soft-roader and deliver a more CUV-like ingress and egress. New shocks would also be fitted, as well. Wheel-arch extensions were also added to complete the look.

Fri, Feb 7 2020In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by West Coast Editor James Riswick. First they talk about driving the Volvo V60 Cross Country and Ford Explorer ST, with some thoughts about the Subaru Outback and Super Bowl commercials as well. Then they dive into the mailbag, answering questions and following up on the outcomes of previous "Spend My Money" segments. Finally they wrap things off with a new "Spend My Money," in which they help a listener pick a new car that will accommodate a new, tiny family member without sucking all the fun out of driving.
