Yes I know they didn't make a C70R but if they did this is what it would have been. I have worked at Volvo dealer for over ten years so all the upgrades were done right and work 100%. This car has been my daily driver for over 2 years and I don't want to see it go but a house is more important than a toy right now and I have to sell it. When I purchased it it was a none stock 2.3 turbo manual transmission car. I will try to remember everything I have done to it but I will prob forget a few things because of how much time and effort has gone into this car. Last winter I did all the upgrades to the car in about a months time. First off I put a 2.5 S60R engine with 104k and a brand new Volvo S60R turbocharger. At this time I also replaced all the engine seals gaskets thermostat hoses water pump breather system plugs timing belt kit serpentine belt a new a/c compressor new Volvo turbo single mass flywheel with a new 850R clutch and throughout bearing new axle seals all new fluids and anything else that needed replacing was done. It also has brand new engine engine mounts all the way around and an IPD upper and lower polly torque mount. I also installed a turbo back custom made 3" exhaust. Yes full 3" not the usual 2.5" catback. I also installed the new four piston Brembo brakes pads and new 330 MM S60R rotors. I also bought a set of brand new Volvo 17" Pegasus rims and had them painted gun metal grey. I also installed Bilstein HD struts on all four corners with rare Apex springs with a 1.6 drop on all fours. I also put in a Ipd rear sway bar to give it some oversteer. I don't have the front bar. At that time I also put in all new suspension mounts sway bar end links and rear trailing arm links. I also replaced the front control arms and inner and outer tie rods. I also put in the volcano interior that I stumbled upon in a random junk yard. They only made this interior in 2004 and it is extremely rare! I also I stalled a V70R blue instrument cluster. The mileage is correct because I only swapped the blue faceplate into my original cluster. I also added the Kenwood DNX 9140 navigation Bluetooth iPod head unit. I also added the surround speaker with its own amp. Yes the head unit supports 5.1 Dolby surround. I also added a Kenwood 1000watt amp for the upgraded Boston acoustic slim mount Subwoofers installed in their stock locations. As you already know there is a stock 400 watt alpine amp that powers the rest of the midrange speakers stock from the factory. I also put Dynomat on the entire floor because the heater core blew up and soaked the original padding. Yea i replaced the heater core with a brand new Volvo part. I also installed a brand new Volvo V70R front bumper fogs and grilles. I even took the fogs apart to paint the inner bezels black to match the upgraded headlight housings. Both the fogs and low beam headlights are xenon gas discharge lights. As I have been driving this car daily I have addresses every problem that has come up immediately so there is a lot of things I have fixed that I forgot about over the past few years. Every electric option works 100% windows heated seats lighting convertible top ect... The windows have a 5% tint and the tail lights and marker lights have been sprayed with tint then clearcoated and wet sanded to give it the shiny finish. The body does have its dings and scratches but no major problems or body damage. Although the convertible top works flawlessly it does show signs of age. The back window had to be glued in and there are a few wear patches on the canvas surface. The top does not leak and the weather stripping is good. I did all this to the car when it had 148K and it now has 178K. This is mostly highway miles because of my 100 mile daily comute and frequent trips to vermont and new hampshire. I just replaced the front pads last month and turned the rotors. Please email me with any questions or if you want to see the car in person.

Volvo and Ericsson to take Spotify on the road
Thu, 27 Dec 2012Volvo is working to bring Spotify to its vehicles. Ericsson has announced it will provide its Connected Vehicle Cloud service to Volvo for future products, and Spotify streaming music is part of that service. Like Toyota Entune and other infotainment services, the Connected Vehicle Cloud will use the driver's smartphone as a modem to stream music and serve as a base for other applications, all of which will be controllable through the vehicle interface. Expect to see the service launch in 2014, though Ericsson stresses later generations will feature an embedded modem with its own SIM card that will piggyback off of the owner's phone data plan.
But that system won't show up in production vehicles until at least 2016. In the interim, Ericsson says it will continue to work with government agencies on its car-to-car communication efforts. That program could eventually help pave the way toward autonomous road trains capable of helping vehicles travel safely together while also reducing traffic congestion. Wired has a full break down of the Connected Vehicle Cloud strategy. You can read it here.
Chip maker Nvidia adds Volvo to list of self-driving partners
Tue, Jun 27 2017Chipmaker Nvidia Corp announced on Monday it was partnering with Volvo Cars and Swedish auto supplier Autoliv to develop self-driving car technology for vehicles due to hit the market by 2021. Volvo is owned by China's Geely Automobile Holdings. Silicon Valley-based Nvidia also announced a non-exclusive partnership with German automotive suppliers ZF and Hella for artificial intelligence technology for autonomous driving. Nvidia came to prominence in the gaming industry for designing graphics processing chips, but in recent years has been a key player in the automotive sector for providing the so-called "brain" of the autonomous vehicle. The company, whose many partners already include Tesla, Toyota, Ford, Audi, BMW, and tier one supplier Robert Bosch, announced its latest deals at an automotive electronics show in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Nvidia's Drive PX artificial intelligence platform is used by Tesla in its Models S and X and upcoming Model 3 electric vehicles. Volkswagen AG's Audi is also using the system to reach full autonomous driving by 2020. In a call with reporters, Nvidia's senior automotive director Danny Shapiro said carmakers and their main suppliers are now moving away from the research and development phase of autonomous vehicles and into concrete production plans. The system developed jointly by ZF and Hella, and using Nvidia's Drive PX platform, will combine front cameras with radar and software to create technology meeting the Euro NCAP safety certification for so-called "Level 3" driving, in which some, but not all, driving is performed by the car. Volvo is already using the Drive PX for the self-driving cars in its "Drive Me" autonomous pilot program. Volvo's production vehicles built on Nvidia's platform, as announced on Monday, are planned for sale by 2021.Reporting By Alexandria SageRelated Video: Auto News Green Tesla Toyota Volvo Technology Emerging Technologies Autonomous Vehicles nvidia autoliv
Editors’ Picks January 2023 | Acura Integra, the new CR-V and more
Wed, Feb 1 2023A new year means another long year of testing and evaluating new metal coming from the automotive industry — we know, tough job, right? It also means another year of new cars making it to our EditorsÂ’ Picks status, and weÂ’re starting out January with a bang. In total, eight new vehicles were EditorsÂ’ Picks this month, including some brand-new models like the redesigned Honda CR-V, Cadillac Lyriq and the ever-controversial Acura Integra. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, hereÂ’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get an EditorsÂ’ Pick designation. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in January that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2023 Honda CR-V 2023 Honda CR-V Sport Touring front three quarter View 22 Photos Quick take: An all-around winner, the Honda CR-V is spacious, features easily used technology and looks better than ever. We recommend the efficient hybrid model, but the standard powertrain is a solid option, too. Score: 9.0. What it competes with: Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Mazda CX-5, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, Nissan Rogue, VW Tiguan, Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Escape, Mitsubishi Outlander Pros: Clean styling; massive interior; efficient engine options; solid infotainment system; many standard safety features. Cons: No base trim levels; lack of specialty options such as plug-in hybrid and off-road models. From the editors: News Editor Joel Stocksdale — "The CR-V is just really good in a lot of ways that really matter. It's enormous inside. It has a clean, stylish exterior and interior. It's solidly equipped. The base engine is pretty underwhelming, but that's rectified with the more powerful, more refined and more efficient hybrid. It simply doesn't do anything badly." Senior Editor James Riswick — "The 2023 Honda CR-V is at its best as the hybrid. While the turbo base engine carries over virtually unchanged, the hybrid is new for 2023. To put it simply, itÂ’s just better to drive. Honda engineers managed to simulate shifts when the gas engine kicks on, providing a more natural driving experience and eliminating the blender-like droning of the outgoing car.
