This is a no reserve auction!!! This is a used 2001 C70 convertible that was a repossession. This car is sold as-is, no warranty implied. The engine is a 5 cyl. 2.435 and runs superb. The transmission is a 5 speed automatic which shifts properly. The car has 157,435 miles on it. The car is black with tan interior and tan convertible top. The interior has some flaws which I will tell you about now - the driver's seat has 3 holes in it and is worn, the passenger seat and back seat is in much better condition, the left door panel is missing, the left door handle is broken and does not open from the inside also the window does not go down on the same side. The carpet is in fairly good shape but is dirty- needs cleaning. The radio says "code" which means you have to call the volvo dealer to get the code for it to work. AC works but might need a little freon. The dash is good with no cracks. The top has some torn places in it and will need to be replaced soon. The back glass in the top does not fit properly. I am unable to get the top to go down as I may not know how to do it. The paint on the body has some scatches from normal wear. Both bumpers are scratched and the paint in coming off, needs to be painted. The front spoiler needs painting also. The car has 4 aluminum wheels, 3 match and 1 does not. The tires are 205/55/16, approx. 50%. The drive train is super, and if you spend a few dollars on the door panel, window motor, and few other dollars on some of the cosmetics you will have a classy ride. Car has been recently inspected in North Carolina. Once again this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. The highest bidder gets the car. Car can be delivered by us for a fee once you have paid for it. Car can be driven anywhere. Car is for sale locally and can be removed at any time.Any questions call or text Ken at 336-830-3554

Volvo calls in S60 T5 over oil pressure indicator
Mon, 30 Dec 2013As anyone with a driver's license should be able to tell you, the oil pressure indicator on a car is a vital feature. If you don't have enough oil pressure, your engine could seize up, leaving you stranded and causing catastrophic damage for both your automobile and your wallet. Worryingly, then, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that the oil pressure indicator lamp on certain Volvo S60 models is prone to failure, prompting the manufacturer to issue a recall.
The issue pertains to MY2011-2012 Volvo S60s with turbocharged five-cylinder engines manufactured between June 22, 2010 and May 14, 2012. All told, precisely 30,929 units are affected by the recall campaign. The owners of affected models will be notified by Volvo to bring in their cars to their local dealer for a software update. See the official notice below for details.
Volvo considering offering V60 wagon in the US
Tue, 12 Mar 2013For the 2014 model year, the Volvo product line is shrinking to just five models in the United States: the S60, S80, XC60, XC70 and XC90. This comes following the death of the C30 hatchback and C70 convertible, which are being discontinued after the 2013 model year. The S40 sedan and V50 wagon were axed two years ago, as was the larger V70.
That may not be the case, however. According to Automotive News, Volvo is rethinking its decision to not sell the V60 wagon, pictured, in the United States. The automaker had originally decided to not offer the V60 in our market due to declining American wagon sales. A decision is expected to be made sometime in the next quarter, and if approved, sales of the V60 could begin in the US within the next year.
At the Geneva Motor Show last week, Volvo showed off refreshed versions of nearly every vehicle in its lineup. In the US, these will be the only changes coming to the Volvo brand over the next two years. The next big product launch in the States will be the all-new XC90 crossover, developed under new parent company Geely. The range-topping SUV will ride on the company's new flexible SPA platform, which will also underpin the next-generation versions of the S60, S80 and XC60.
Volvo bringing Chinese-built cars to America beginning next year
Wed, 18 Jun 2014Just because the penetration of the American automotive market by Chinese brands hasn't quite happened yet doesn't mean that Chinese-built cars are far off. According to a new report, we could very soon see long-wheelbase Volvo S60s that were assembled in the People's Republic arriving on US shores.
The report comes from Automotive News China, which cites an anonymous Volvo exec. An official Volvo spokesperson later corroborated ANC's report, although where the original source claimed that we could see the Chinese-built S60L in US dealers at some point in 2015, the company line was that a timeline hadn't been established to begin exports from the world's most populous nation.
According to Volvo, the benefit to exporting from China to the United States rather than from Sweden is the relationship between the US dollar and the Chinese yuan. Overall, it's a less tumultuous issue than the dollar-to-euro situation. By moving vehicles from China to the US, the Chinese-owned company is limiting the degree of risk it's taking with sudden currency swings.
