I have a 1998 Volvo C70 saffron with a manual transmission for sale. The car has been my baby and dream car ever since I have owned it. I purchased the car in spring of 2007, with 129,xxx miles. It has never seen a touch car wash. I have only filled up on Shell gas. Also have been using Mobile 1 Synthetic ever since I have owned it. The exterior is in great condition. The interior is also in amazing condition (don't take my word let the pictures speak for themselves)

I have done a crazy amount of preventative maintenance, stage 0, also a bunch of performance modifications. I originally purchased the car with a automatic transmission. Shortly after I converted it over to a manual and put a LSD in it. Other than the engine almost all of the parts have been replaced, with blue box Volvo oem parts (radiator, alternator, AC compressor, rebuilt turbo).

Modifications:
I decided to list all of the modifications separately. As can be seen I have invested a good amount of money in the vehicle.

Performance:
kkk 24 turbo (S60r turbo)
Garrett upgraded wastegate
R exhaust manifold
Custom RICA tune (20 psi)
Manual swap
Quaife LSD
Euro "R" oem clutch

3 inch custom 304 stainless steel mandrel bent exhaust (MagnaFlow resonator and muffler)
465cc Green injectors
Walbro 250 fuel pump
FMIC
2.5 inch intercooler pipes
WOT box (2 step and launch control)
Port and polished intake manifold
Phenolic intake spacer
960 throttle body
MSD ignition coil
IPD spark plug wires
Short shifter
"ram air" intake

Suspension:
KW v2 coilovers
XC90 spring mounts
IPD track swaybars

Blue led interior swap
White face gauges

Misc:
Viper long range remote start and security system
AEM truboost boost gauge + controller
Innovate wideband
Silicon vacuum lines
Silicon lower radiator hose

I am sure I'm forgetting a lot items. I love the vehicle and it continues to turn heads. At this point I have replaced a majority of the parts on the vehicle. Rear main seal was replaced at 150,xxx miles. Timing belt was replaced at 190,xxx miles. Brand new OEM battery. This is a extremely solid daily driver. That can also be taken out on the track no problem. With around 300 HP to the wheels , it can knock the socks off most cars on the street (take a look at the Autobahn track video passing Evo and m3).

Again, I'm sure I have left a few things out here, so I encourage questions and will respond as promptly as possible. I am looking for $9,000 OBO . The odometer is currently sitting at 216k but as stated above just about everything has been replaced. The engine has no problems or leaks, pulls super hard. I feel the price is fair given the rarity of the car and amount of time and money put into it.

The car is located in Gilberts, IL (near Elgin, IL) and I would be happy to show it to any interested parties. If you are out-of-state and would like a local forum member to look at it that can be arranged as well.

Take a look at the link below to see hi-res photos and videos of the car at track.

Heico jacks up Volvo V40 Cross Country to create XC40

Sat, 24 May 2014

Because life isn't fair, we don't get the stylish wagon known as the Volvo V40 in the United States. That means we don't get its soft-roading cousin, the V40 Cross Country. So, naturally, if Volvo tuner Heico Sportiv ever produces this ruggedized, XC-styled V40 Cross Country, it most certainly wouldn't cross the pond, either.
That makes us sad, because despite holding a tiny bit of contempt for small luxury crossovers, this is a very, very cool looking vehicle. It's just a render right now, but Heico Sportiv is looking to offer the kit to V40 Cross Country owners who want a smaller version of the Volvo XC60.
Converting a V40 CC into an XC40 would start with some suspension tweaks. The ride height would be raised by just over an inch, in order to improve the looks of the soft-roader and deliver a more CUV-like ingress and egress. New shocks would also be fitted, as well. Wheel-arch extensions were also added to complete the look.

Volvo's next-generation cars will feature gaming-derived graphics

Fri, Jun 3 2022

Volvo joined forces with Epic Games, the company that created the Fortnite franchise, to give its next-generation cars a faster infotainment system with vastly improved graphics. Using technology gleaned from the world of gaming promises to unlock a long list of new features. Don't expect to see a Fortnite-themed display in the XC90's replacement; the partnership isn't going that far. Volvo explained that it will use the Unreal Engine, a real-time 3D creation tool developed for industries outside of the gaming world, to develop the digital interface it will program into future additions to its range. This technology will allow it to deliver richer colors, sharper renderings and new 3D animations. Good graphics aren't worth much if the software is annoying to use, so Volvo will power its next infotainment system with the third-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms designed by Qualcomm. We're told that the end result is a system that's over twice as fast as the one Volvo currently uses, and whose graphic generation and processing capacities are up to 10 times faster. Volvo hasn't released a video of the software in action yet, but we won't have to wait long to see it: the feature will debut in a new flagship model due out by the end of 2022. This isn't the first time that Volvo has enlisted the help of a technology company to design an infotainment system. Its current cars (like the C40 Recharge) are fitted with Google's Android Automotive OS infotainment system. And, the worlds of gaming and in-car technology have collided before: Nissan notably asked Polyphony Digital, the company behind the Gran Turismo franchise, to design the GT-R's display. 12 best hybrid SUVs for 2022

Tue, Jun 15 2021

If you're searching for the best hybrid SUV, the truth is there actually aren't that many choices. While there's an endless sea of those powered solely by gasoline, those that add batteries and superior fuel economy to the mix are few and far between. The very good news, however, is that the choices you have are actually excellent. The top-selling and top-rated Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 are not only available as hybrids, for instance, but are actually at their most appealing as hybrids.  Luxury hybrid SUVs are a different story. While Lexus offers each of its crossover SUVs as a conventional hybrid, those of other brands are by and large plug-in hybrids that provide a relatively brief amount of all-electric propulsion, superior fuel economy and higher prices that are somewhat countered by EV tax rebates. We include both conventional hybrids and plug-in hybrids in the below list of best hybrid SUVs. All are listed alphabetically within each category. Best small hybrid SUVs   |   Best midsize hybrid SUVs Best luxury hybrid SUVs   |   Best luxury plug-in hybrid SUVs Best small hybrid SUVs Honda CR-V Hybrid Why it stands out: Best-in-class back seat space; hybrid's distinctive EV-like power delivery; middle lower LATCH anchorCould be better: Antiquated and glitchy tech interface; a bit dull Hybrid fuel economy: 38 mpg combined (AWD only) Read our 2022 Honda CR-V Review Consider the CR-V the baseline for any compact SUV search. Objectively speaking, it's tough to beat due to its massive cargo capacity, voluminous back seat, well-balanced driving dynamics, competitive pricing and features, strong safety ratings and well-regarded reliability. In terms of its hybridness, we like that Honda's distinctive hybrid system sees most of its propulsion handled by the electric motor (the engine rarely powers the wheels directly), resulting in a more EV-like, torque-rich power delivery and a less obtrusive gas engine. For the vast majority of compact SUV buyers, and especially families, the CR-V Hybrid checks every box.    Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Why it stands out: Beautiful interior; excellent infotainment and safety technology; traditional automatic transmissionCould be better: No spare tire; styling a tad outrageous Hybrid fuel economy: 37-38 mpg combined (AWD only) Plug-in hybrid electric range: 33 miles Plug-in hybrid fuel economy: 80 MPGe Read our 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review The Tucson is the new kid in town and it's made quite an entrance.
