Up for auction or sale I am offering a 1958 Volvo PV-444. ...About me and my Volvo Driving History I began driving Volvo's when I was 16 years old. I took my first driving test in my Mom's 1980 244 DL. I am 45 years old now! Since then I have been driving Volvo's almost exclusively and now drive a Robbin's Egg Blue 1986 Volvo 245. I have owned many Volvo's including: the P-1800, The ES(P-1800 Station Wagon), 145's, 122's(Wagon), 544's and the PV-444. It seems that most of all I love the 240 series. I am certian that I will drive a Volvo till the day I die. Who knows I might die in my Volvo! Passing Over into the next world in my Volvo sounds pretty fine!
I purchased the 1958 Volvo PV-444 That I am selling 18 years ago. This is the last Volvo in a collection of many except my current 1986 Volvo 245. I drove the 1958 Volvo PV-444 around for the first few years in Northern Colorado. It was a dream car that turned heads! People asked "what kind of car is that?". I have stored the car in my Sister's Garage for the last 12 years. My Sister just sold her house in Littleton, Colorado and is closing on Monday May 19th. My Dad told me that the Volvo would have to be moved on Monday(May 19th). The car is presently located in Highlands Ranch, CO(Near C-470 & Broadway). If I do not show or sell this car in the next 5 days it will be moved to Northern Colorado(Loveland). I am a motivated seller, but willing to take my time selling off this car over the summer months. I know this is a collector's car in today's car market! Only a few Volvo PV-444's made it to this country. The Numbers out there are low and that is what makes it a collectible car. I have been told it is a Rare Bird! ...About the 1958 Volvo PV-444 The name 444 means: four-seater, 4 cylinder car and 40 horsepower. US models, beginning to appear in the US in early 1956 received an uprated version called the B14A which was given twin side-draught 11/2 inch SU CARBURETTORS for a total of 70 hp. Since I simply stored the vehile in my Sister's garage for 12 years(Hard on A Car) I had to prepare and work on the car before just turning the key and firing it up. First I had to clean the old gas out of the tank. This was the nastiest job I have ever encountered in my whole life. Old Gas is super nasty stuff!!! I removed the gas tank and cleaned it out by removing all old gas first and then letting it dry out for a few days or a week. I then shook and removed any debris in the bottom of the Gas Tank. All The way down to the very fine dust. I could no longer get any debris or rust dust out of the tank by shaking it or swishing it out. A lot of debris was removed from the tank and then I remounted the tank and got some freshy fresh gas. I drained the Radiator and replaced new Anti-Freeze. I changed the Oil and Oil Filter. I purchased a new 6 Volt Battery and prepared for the firing up event! The car started up with the assistance of Starting Fluid. It now seems to require starting fluid sprayed into the SU carburettors to get the engine up and running. Once it is up and running it seems to run fine. I feel like this car just needs some more TLC and hands on care and more actual driving and usage, then the PV-444 would be Happy and Stoked. When the vehicle is up and running it is a very fun and responsive car to drive. Since I got the car running again the Water Pump is now leaking. I have heard that letting a car sit for years is hard on it and things start going wrong after it is fired up again. Parts and Seals can begin to break down after it is up and running after a period of rest. I have driven the car around the neighborhood and the greater amount of the car seems to be working or at least mainly original. I have not run the car a whole lot since it has no insurance, license plates or is not registered with the state. The original car seats were recovered at some point in Brown. I have an extra set of 544(white & red...seen in pictures) seats that are included with the purchase. I have a few other 544 and 444 parts included with the sale(Listed Below). The car itself has 98,000 miles on odometer(cannot tell if these are actual actual miles). The odmeter is working! The car ran like a top for me when I it was first purchased it and seemed to have the actual miles that are registered on the odometer. The Body is in Fair condition with some visible dents and scratches after 56 years. The car has been repainted. Not original paint. The Bumpers are in Fair to Poor shape. Bumpers show bends and surface rust in some places. The Fenders and Body of the car also show some lighter rust in spots near edges. The Floor Pans have been rusted out at some point in time. I cut out the worst rust on the Floor Pans years ago with a SAWS-ALL. All 4 floor pans are holes to the ground(Fred Flinstone Style) and in need of serious metal work repair(...See Pictures). The overall condition of the car is Fair to Good! The car is sold "AS-IS". These car's in Mint condition can fetch $10.000 or more. This one is NOT in Mint Condition. It is a 58 year old Volvo in need of a kind and loving home and driver. I am avaliable through eBay Messaging Service. I can show the car over the next five days. I will then be showing and selling the car out of Loveland(Northern Colorado-approx. 60 miles north of Denver). Next week I might have a cell phone number to provide to any potential buyer. The car is located near Arapahoe Rd and I-25(...south of Denver) for the next 5 days. Please feel free to ask any questions or make arrangments to see this Classic 1958 Volvo PV-444. This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.

Two days ago, Volvo opened the order books on its completely new 2015 XC90 crossover, and just like that, all of the 1,927 First Edition models were reserved in a scant 47 hours. According to Volvo, most of the vehicles were reserved within one hour of the online ordering site launching, and at its peak, seven cars were being sold each minute.
First Edition models wear a unique Onyx Black exterior, and ride on eight-spoke, 21-inch wheels. Inside, amber nappa leather covers the seats, the dashboard is lined in charcoal leather, and there are walnut inlays throughout the cabin.
Under the hood, the XC90 First Edition can be had with either a four-cylinder Drive-E gasoline or diesel engine (if you live in markets outside the US, of course). The twin-charged T6 petrol model comes with 320 horsepower, and sends its power to the ground via all-wheel drive.

Volvo will unveil the third in its series of new concepts to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, but it will also bring a flotilla of special editions to the Swiss show. The V70 and XC70 are getting limited-edition models called simply Edition, and the V40, V40 Cross Country, V60 and XC60 will have Volvo Ocean Race Editions.
The Edition models outfit the cars with an extra sprinkling of style. The V70 Edition gets high-gloss black trim on the grille, mirror caps, side window frames and tailgate and rides on silver, 17-inch wheels with high-gloss black 17-inch and 18-inch wheels as options. The XC70 Edition adds some gloss black exterior upgrades too, plus high-gloss black, 18-inch diamond-cut wheels. Both models are swathed in black leather upholstery with cream stitching.
The Volvo Ocean Race Editions celebrate the brand's sponsorship of a 38,739-nautical-mile yacht race that will circumnavigate the world from 2014 to 2015. All of them sport the race logo on the tread plates, front fenders, infotainment display on start-up and special seven-spoke wheels. Inside, there is the choice of black or blonde leather seats with orange stitching. The 60-series cars also sport a map of the race route on the rear load cover.
