This 1967 VW Sqaureback Euro is one of the coolest cars I've ever seen and certainly ever have owned!  This car has a personality to no end!  It is impossible to drive it without getting attention form almost everyone on the road!  It looks mean with its totally radical stance.  Its custom license plate interior which can be put back to normal if its not your thing. It also has a very rare custom one piece windows in the back. These are just to name a few.   I'm considering selling it for the greater good of my family.  I have several cars and I need to sell some to put money aside for the purchase of a house.  Otherwise, I would hold on it for as long as I could.  Please be know this is not a desperate attempt to sell and I don't by any means have to.  However provided a qualified new owner who can continue to love "Lil Ginger" like I have, will have an opportunity to enjoy it as well.  I have the clear Texas title to it in my name and ready to sign over.

Here the specs:

Motor is a 1500sp VW reman with dual single barrel carbs.  Motor is 100% stock with the exception of the aftermarket exhaust which sounds a lot like a fixed up Subaru due to the flat 4 motor.

The transmission is a 4 speed manual gear box all stock.

The suspension as been lowered approx 4 inches.  Believe it or not is extremely comfortable and very smooth.  Of course you have to watch out for huge pot holes but you should be doing that in any car.

The Brakes are completely stock with disk up front and drums in the rear. They work as they should for an old car without ABS

Overall its a very rare, cool, good car. As mentioned above the turn signals and the emegancy flashers are not working due to the relay being out.  All the other lights work though.  The emergency break is not connected and may need service to get it working.  I park it in gear and never worry about it. It dose have rust on the battery tray and on drivers kick panel but could be patched or repaired.  It just never concerned me enough to do anything about it

The new owner of this car must has a personality to match the car.  You don't need to be a full blown mechanic to own it; but you should know the basics. Volkswagen's are very simple & easy to work on, I'm sure you wont have problems finding help if needed.  Remember its about to be 47 years old so its to be treated with love and respect for its age.  If you have any questions what so ever please ask.  I can also do facetime or youtube videos if requested. Email goes right to my phone so I will call you at the number provided if you email me first.

Happy bidding!!!

Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?

Sun, Jul 9 2023

The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric.  Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands.  If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla.  Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor.  Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have:  Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.

To solve diesel problem, VW might need two fixes

Fri, Oct 2 2015

Volkswagen says that a fix is on the way for its 11 million vehicles around the globe that are equipped with diesel engine software that can evade emissions tests. The problem might be far more complicated than simply creating a single solution for all of them, though. According to Automotive News citing Reuters, two remedies to cover different NOx-reducing systems could be necessary, and both potentially affect performance. Earlier examples of the EA 189 diesel engine used a lean NOx trap to reduce the harmful material coming from the tailpipe. According to experts in the Automotive News report, a software update might allow the engines to achieve compliance, but that could affect fuel economy. VW already tried this route once before the scandal came to light, but tests by the California Air Resources Board still showed the figures were too high. Later, some of the 2.0 TDI engines began using Selective Catalytic Reduction that reduced NOx by injecting a urea solution into the exhaust stream. According to Automotive News, a software update for this equipment might increase the amount of the substance used. Not only would that mean topping up the fluid more often, but there still could be some reduction in fuel economy. But, since the 2-liter, 4-cylinder TDI engine that sits inside the diesel vehicles first mentioned as being affected by the issue in the US don't have a urea treatment system, VW would need to install them into these cars. VW still hasn't officially outlined its solution (or solutions) to the emissions issue but is expected to soon. The automaker's long-term evasion of regulations with these diesel engines pumped vast quantities of additional NOx into the air. The substance is known to be linked with smog and acid rain. The US Department of Justice is already beginning an investigation into the company, and politicians are pushing for harsh punishments.

Volkswagen Golf Variant Concept R-Line puts the sport in SportWagen

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

With the introduction of the newest Volkswagen Golf Variant, we get an early look at what will most likely be the next-generation Jetta SportWagen here in the US. To further wet our appetities, VW is now teasing something a little sportier with the Concept R-Line. Looking the part of a GTI wagon (or a stretched Golf R), the Golf Variant Concept R-Line has a production-ready appearance that has us hoping we'll see this sporty wagon sooner rather than later.
The R-Line starts off with a new fascia that isn't quite as aggressive as the recently introduced GTI, but it gives the new styling some extra punch. Below the fascia is a lower splitter that visually carries back into the rocker panel extensions, and the rear of the car gets some bright exhaust tips and a rear diffuser. The Lapis Blue Metallic paint job probably does enough on its own to add a sporty flair to the Golf wagon, and it's all finished off with 18-inch split-spoke wheels. Inside, the Concept R-Line shows off sport seats wrapped in carbon leather featuring blue nappa inserts in the middle.
Rightfully so, VW brought the Concept R-Line to Geneva with its TDI and 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. A sporty, all-wheel-drive diesel wagon? Yes, please. Scroll down for the full press blast with all the details.
