You are looking at a gorgeous 2004 VW Touareg in MINT CONDITION!! Named after a nomadic tribe that travels the Sahara, it blends offroading skills with a virtue of a German automobile. It is built at a new plant in Germany by Porsche, along with that company’s Cayenne SUV. The Touareg actually shares the same platform as the Porsche Cayenne.

The difference is in that the Touareg looks more sleek, can take you everywhere the Cayenne can go, and does it all for a heck of a lot less money! And because the Touareg is a luxury-premium, mid-size SUV, it comes with almost every plush touch imaginable, including  the glove-leather upholstery and burled-walnut trim.

Mechanical highlights include a standard center-locking differential for true four-wheel-driving and a long list of traction/stability control and rollover-protection items -- as well as a front end specifically designed to cause minimum damage to small cars in crashes.

The electronically controlled 4XMotion permanent four-wheel drive includes offroad gearing. Up to 100 percent of the engine's power can be sent to either the front or rear wheels. Offroad helpers include Hill Climbing Assist, Hill Descent Assist and a locking rear differential.

Exterior
Constructed of galvanized steel, the unibody structure makes the Touareg more carlike in appearance than many SUVs. The hood wraps down to a horizontal-bar grille that's similar to the one on Volkswagen's luxury Phaeton sedan. Rounded body shoulders and sculpted wheel arches complement short overhangs. The doors display a distinctive groove.

Interior
Trimmed in burl wood, chrome and bright aluminum, the luxurious five-passenger interior emulates the Phaeton's decorative touches. Dual-zone climate control is standard. Cargo volume reaches 71 cubic feet when the rear seat is folded. It also has an OnStar Telematics communication system. Luxury leather is standard.

Under the Hood
This particular Touareg is equipped with a 4.2-liter V-8 engine. It is linked to a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission that can be operated manually.

Capacities
The Touareg seats five people; it has a maximum interior cargo volume of 31 cubic feet and a maximum roof cargo weight of 220 pounds. It can be equipped to tow up to 8,716 pounds. Fuel capacity is 26.4 gallons; premium unleaded gasoline is recommended.

Safety
Side-impact and side curtain-type airbags are installed. Antilock brakes, traction control and an Electronic Stabilization Program stability system are standard.

The shipping to Middle East, Australia, Japan and Africa is about $1500.00 (RO-RO)
