2004 R32 Bmp, 123k, 99% Stock, 8 Wheels, Leather, Navi, Clean, Well Maintained on 2040-cars
Towaco, New Jersey, United States
2004 R32 BMP with ~123k miles, title in hand, always garaged, basically a stock car performance wise. I purchased this car 4 months ago, and I have other cars i use more often and this car won't get used at all, so I decided to get rid of it. Love it, but i'd rather someone else enjoy it then it just sit in the garage all the time. Exterior is in good shape, had a quality paint correction/detail done before the winter, but its a 10yr old car so its not a 'showcar'. Only 2 very small dings on the rear left quarter panel (pictured) but otherwise its all straight and smooth. Last oil/filter change was done at 121k. Drives/Feels/Looks like a 60-70k car, don't let the mileage scare you, its very well taken care of, and I only used it mainly to go 20 minutes back and forth on 287 to my office a few days a week for the last 3 months.
New price, 14k NO TRADES, cash only, and local buyers only. Located in Norther NJ. Engine: 9/10 Interior: 9/10 Exterior": 8.5/10 - Clutch is in great shape - leather heated seats - A/C blows cold - Pioneer in dash DVD/Navi with Bluetooth, Sirius, and usb/ipod connecotrs in glovebox. - Flapper switch located in center consol ashtray - Euro R32 springs - Dogbone mount upgraded to Urethane Bushing - Unibrace back seat brace - ITG panel filter - R32 rubber mats - Stock Wheels are in very good shape, 2 tires have 8/32 tread and two are corded - 17" Sport wheels have performance all season Kuhmo's (wheels and tires are new this winter) - Extra trunk liner with "velcro" style organizers...these come in VERY handy - custom side lic plate mount through grill - rear windows and hatch window is tinted (I believe previous owner had them done, 35%) - Includes two key fobs (one is a newer version with panic button, needs to be programmed) - stubby roof antenna I did the following work a few months ago: - new tie rods - new rotors/pads - new front/rear SS brake lines and full fluid flush - new front upper shock bearing/mounts - new swaybar bushings/droplinks - 17" Sport wheels w/all season tires - Right before I got the car it also had new CV boots done, and its 100k service. - probably forgetting some stuff, but its very well maintained. |

Anti-UAW VW workers move to form own union
Sat, 30 Aug 2014The struggle over unionization at the Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga, TN, continues to get more complicated. There's now a second union fighting to organize at the plant; although this one is staunchly against the actions of the United Auto Workers. At the same time, the UAW is still signing up voluntary members to its recently created Local 42 at the facility and is reportedly near having a majority of the hourly employees on its side.
The new, anti-UAW union campaign is being spearheaded by employee Mike Burton, according to Reuters, and he calls his group the American Council of Employees. He claims to already have 108 signatures in support of his organization. Burton believes that the UAW is harmful to businesses, and his goal is to force another vote to determine a preferred union among workers.
The UAW was initially defeated (712 to 626) when it attempted a union vote at the Tennessee plant in February. However, UAW secretary-treasurer Gary Casteel told Reuters that Local 42 has already signed up over 700 members. If it can reach a majority of the roughly 1,500 employees, the group hopes VW might consider recognizing it as the factory's union.
Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
VW, Suzuki mulling rekindling relationship in face of legal battle
Sat, 27 Jul 2013Volkswagen and Suzuki have been undergoing marriage counseling in a bid to avoid finalizing their nasty divorce. The blissful union has been troubled for some time, with Volkswagen claiming that it could affect operational decisions at Suzuki, and the Japanese brand's sniping and constant flirting with a certain Italian temptress causing rifts.
The matter first went to court in 2012, when Suzuki demanded VW get out, and leave its 19.9-percent stake in the Japanese brand in a box to the left. Now, Automotive News is reporting that the company will give the relationship one last shot, according to closed-door dealings between the two in London.
Still, it's understood that VW and Suzuki recognize the benefit of their alliance, and that it'd be in the best interests of the kids both parties to make things work. Spokespeople declined to comment to AN, but the newsmagazine spoke with Frank Biller, an analyst for LBBW in Stuttgart, who said, "Both companies stand to benefit if they can overcome the disagreements over leadership claims."
