For sale we have a 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton AWD 4.2L V8. The car was a recent trade in for a newer vehicle. The car has a clean carfax report with no accidents and lots of service records. The car runs and drives perfect. The 4.2L V8 motor fires right up and it sounds solid and super healthy. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly thru out all the gears with no issues and no delays. The car is an AWD and excellent in winter. Previous owner took excellent care of the car and all the services have been done to it. The outside body of the car is in great shape, little nicks and marks here and there but nothing major, for the most part a very clean car. The lower front bumper cover has a small crack. The interior of the car is gorgeous and very clean and loaded with options such as Navigation, CD Player, sun-roof, xenon lights and many many more options. The car drives very smooth down the road and it handles amazing. Over all a very healthy and clean Phaeton that's been well cared for. We have the books and few navi discs that come with the car as well. wvwaf63d148008555 108137

****We have been getting a lot of questions regarding our auction format so we wanted to take a moment to explain it to those who are new to ebay motors. The "buy it now or best offer" auction format is beneficial to the buyer and the seller because there is no reason to wait until the last minute to bid on a car. As with most dealers, we select certain vehicles from our inventory and put them ebay. We do not have a lot of employees or a fancy showroom; therefore we can pass the savings to you and offer some of the best prices anywhere. So send us an offer now and we will either accept it, counter it, or decline it. If we counter the offer, you are welcome to accept it or counter back, this process proceeds until the car is sold. Our acceptance is binding so please have your financing ready if you would like to purchase a car. Non-Paying Bidders cost us a great deal of time and money and we employ all recourse that ebay provides to complete a sale. We do not accept trade ins. Please remember this auction will likely NOT last the full duration. As soon as we get an acceptable offer the car will be sold. Using Buy it Now ends the auction immediately. DUE TO A STRING OF NON-PAYING BIDDERS ALL FOREIGN BIDDERS MUST E-MAIL US FIRST TO BE ALLOWED TO BID**** We are not responsible for incurring fees on auctions if you misread the description or change your mind

ALL FEEDBACK MUST BE PLACED UPON PICK UP OF VEHICLE.

Fully Charged rolls into season 3 with VW XL1 and electric Land Rover

Sat, Jan 18 2014

It's been some time since last we visited with British actor and electric car proponent Robert Llewellyn and his web-based video series, Fully Charged. The show, now sponsored by Ecotricity, has started rolling out its third season and now has available two episodes featuring a pair of truly unique – and diametrically opposed – vehicles. The first installment starts with some interesting numbers involving the host's Nissan Leaf and its energy consumption over the past 36,000 miles, but soon moves on to the ultra-aero, ultra-expensive Volkswagen XL1. Now, if you've already seen the footage from our own XL1 first drive review, there's not a lot new here except, perhaps, more enthusiasm and a better listen of the two-cylinder diesel kicking in. Still, it's a great reminder of a truly unique vehicle and we enjoyed the segment. The second episode features an electrified Land Rover Defender 110. This is a vehicle you'd more likely see on an African safari than at the local mall. It's not a home-built conversion either, but rather, something the company has put together "for the boffins to create the ideas and see if they work." Boasting a 50-mile range, it's certainly something we like to take on an off-road adventure. Llewellyn is given the chance to do just that, and though the course is somewhat milder than what we might attempt, it does feature a stretch of river and some rough, rutted tracks. You can watch both episodes by scrolling below let us know which vehicle you'd prefer in the comments. This writer is going with the four-wheel-drive. This content is hosted by a third party. VW spending $10 million on EV infrastructure, calls on Congress for help

Tue, Feb 10 2015

It must be the season of big EV infrastructure announcements. In the last few days, we've heard from Bollore in France, PG&E in California and now VW. The German automaker says it will spend a total of $10 million on electric vehicle charging infrastructure by 2016. That includes the previously announced ChargePoint investment VW made with BMW and work the automaker is doing to get chargers for cars like the e-Golf installed as its dealerships. But Jorg Sommer, Volkswagen of America'sl VP of product marketing and strategy, said today in Washington, DC that automakers need help from the federal, state and local governments to turn electric mobility into a thing. Speaking at the 2015 Electric Drive Congress, Sommer said VW would like the Feds to support fast charging networks in urban areas as well as interstate corridors and that governments should "commit to cleaner fleets by purchasing EVs and PHEVs. This should be a US Government priority," he said. He also suggested that the plug-in vehicle multiplier credits under the EPA's greenhouse gas regulations should be extended beyond the 2021 model year. VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA TO INVEST $10 MILLION IN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE BY 2016 Feb 10, 2015 Washington, D.C., February 10, 2015 – Jorg Sommer, vice president, product marketing and strategy, Volkswagen of America, today presented Volkswagen's holistic approach to e-mobility surrounding the launch of the zero-tailpipe emissions 2015 e-Golf, including a $10 million commitment to support electric vehicle infrastructure by 2016. During a presentation delivered at the 2015 Electric Drive Congress in Washington D.C., Sommer stated that Volkswagen believes continued legislative support is needed to reach the next level of electric vehicle adoption. "Automakers have effectively delivered electric vehicles that can satisfy the needs of most American drivers," said Sommer. "In addition to the investment we and other companies and industries are making, we would like to see Federal financing support for establishing fast charging networks in urban areas and interstate corridors. We'd like to see more state and federal organizations commit to cleaner fleets by purchasing EVs and PHEVs. This should be a U.S. Government priority, and federal purchasing guidelines should reflect that by giving fleet purchasers the flexibility they need," Sommer said.

Tanner Foust checks out his new VW Beetle GRC rally car

Thu, 11 Sep 2014

Racing driver and Top Gear USA host Tanner Foust is a very busy guy. After all, he's competing in rounds of both Global Rallycross series and FIA World Rallycross Championship, not to mention his TV duties. However, we probably shouldn't feel too sorry for him, because his job puts him behind the wheel of some truly crazy machinery.
Case in point is his latest ride in Global Rallycross - the Volkswagen Beetle GRC. The German company claims that this all-wheel drive Bug makes around 540 horsepower from its 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and can shoot to 60 in under 2 seconds. Plus, if this video is any indication, this Volkswagen sounds like a machine gun when throwing revs at idle, and it can do some wonderfully easy four-wheel drifts.
Previously, Foust was driving a VW Polo for Andretti Autosport in GRC, but the team unveiled the look of the Beetle GRC at the Chicago Auto Show. Now, Foust is finally getting to show off his new office to the public, and like VW's tagline for the new car claims, it's way hotter than Herbie.
