If you want to talk deal, pick up the phone

and make your serious offer.

702-353-7500

I don't respond messages such as:

"What's your reserve?"

"What is your bottom line?"

"What's the least you'll take?"

"What is your bottom dollar?"

"Do you have a Buy-it-Now?"

"What's it take to buy it?"

"What is you asking price?"

I will not email you a figure but we can talk about it.

It's an Auction!  That means . . . it's your number that counts . . . not mine.

Also, if yours is among the hundreds of emails I get with any of the above lame questions, I will immediately assume that you(r):

have not taken time to read the listing

have zero intent to purchase

• are clueless about relevant market values

• forthcoming "offer" will be completely detached from reality

26 years in the business has proven beyond all doubt that serious buyers read every line, look at every picture, research well enough on their own and feel confident making a real offer.

Our presentations are unequalled, on eBay or anywhere else.

We are therefore, usually able to choose from among quality buyers that actually want to purchase a vehicle.

THE ONLY WAY TO WORK YOUR DEAL IS TO CALL ME!

My vehicles are so unique and so rare,

knowing how much they will or should sell for is nearly impossible.

That is the magic of an eBay auction . . . serious buyers making a serious offer.

If I'm in the black, you will own this vehicle!

Backstory from the owner...

You are looking for the nicest, best maintained Passat you can find.  You are here because the quality found in your neck of the woods, by any measure, is a joke.  I know exactly how you feel.  I attend specialty and dealer-only auctions searching for the best of the best in what my assistant (Foy) and I call "niche autos."  I scan lists of over 3,000 vehicles locally each week and select cars I've come to know are hard to find and that fit my business model of marketing exclusively on eBay.  Diesel Volkswagens make it onto my own list every time they show up and a very small number will appear at one of the three major auctions here in the Las Vegas area or perhaps in a local classifieds.  Over the past 12 years doing business, I'll see maybe 20-30 each year and what that means for you is; I have looked at, touched, smelled and walked away from a lot of Volkswagens.  I am extremely picky about what to buy and this turbo-diesel Passat is one of just a handful worthy my hard earned money.  Past ownership, service history and condition, condition, condition are what matters.  High demand vehicles are not always treated well, but a precious few are taken care of and given proper respect.  This particular Passat is one of those rare finds and you will not want to pass it up.  Beautiful paint, spectacular interior, service history and an absolute knock-out to see in person.  What else could you want?  A great deal?  I have that covered too but you will not be purchasing this fine automobile for wholesale or even low book value.  You already know you get what you pay for and if you want unmatched quality, service, care and just an all around exceptional car, this Passat is a rare find indeed.  Read what Foy has to say about his time driving this Diesel Volkswagen.  Examine every picture in detail, see the amazing condition, up close and personal and then make your call and give me an offer.  I promise, you will not be disappointed.

Doug - Viva Las Vegas Autos, Inc.

2-owner, 2005 Volkswagen Passat GL TDI with just 79,617 well cared for miles.  Paint is outstanding, interior is beautiful, the car starts, runs like new and drives like new.  We acquired this turbo-diesel rocket nearly a year ago.  The plan was; (as it always is) fix whatever small issues we find (we did, see above list) give it a pro-level detail (that too, including undercarriage power wash) and sell the dang thing, probably on the first listing because TDIs are in such high demand.  Problem is; what makes Volkswagen diesels such a red hot commodity are the things we like too.  So much so in fact, we kept putting off selling our 59,000 mile dream-puff until "next week."  Now, 51 next-weeks later, the car has 79,617 miles.  Over 20,000 miles of love from all that drive it, including the boss, his wife, his two boys and your humble scribe . . .

People that know and love Volkswagen diesels would recognize my smile the first time I leaned into the throttle on this car.  Two liters and 134 horsepower looks down right pathetic on paper.  But, advertised 247 ft-lbs of torque is worth noting.  Consider this; a 1976 Corvette Stingray (5.7 liter V8) made 255 ft-lbs torque at 2,400 RPM.  Many V6 sedans on the road today have similar figures with a bigger engine and, of course, worse mileage. This Passat has similar torque at 1,600 RPM, all the way to 3,500 . . .

Is a TDIs surprising performance the reason these are so strong in the market?  For me, the powerful shove to the backside is merely a happy bonus, on top of fuel mileage normally associated with a gutless pig of a car.  For example; a 2005 Toyota Corolla has four less horsepower than this TDI and makes a paltry 125 ft-lb of torque.  The mileage "upside" for driving a car that can't get out of its own way . . . 28 mpg city and 37 highway.  The Passat is rated 34 highway but we regularly drove over 600 miles between fill ups.  Something over 40 mpg was our real world number on trips, of which we took plenty in this very comfortable cruiser . . .

Besides amazing condition and low miles, the other reason we bought this Passat is its great service history. (see above provenance)  Our contribution maintaining this tradition includes: new brakes, air conditioner evac/recharge, a new thermostat, vacuum pump, fuel pump, fan clutch and drive belts.  Also, somebody swiped the antenna so we sourced a new one from Findlay Volkswagen in Henderson.  It's tenure with us includes a few synthetic oil changes, we ponied up for tires in November and just before Christmas, Doug had all the windows tinted, including the windshield.  As far as service goes, it doesn't get any better than this . . .

Most people are impressed their first time behind the wheel of this generation Passat.  I think it feels like an E-class Mercedes and at 6'4", legroom is important to me; this Passat is among the few cars in the world I actually have to nudge the seat forward a bit.  No exaggeration; this car has more front seat legroom than a Lincoln Town Car.  I know, because I worked at a Lincoln dealership for years . . .

When talking/writing about our vehicles, it sometimes takes considerable effort finding enthusiasm for certain vehicles.  I can honestly say, this Passat is more fun to drive than a lot pricier and/or sportier vehicles you can think of and my affection toward this incredible Volkswagen is real.  I love its low end grunt, its luxurious amenities, its thundering Monsoon audio system and how un-diesel like it sounds and behaves.  What I like most however, is the performance of a larger, modern V6 (and even many older V8s) with the fuel mileage of a tiny, no power, no options, no fun "economy" car.  Direct injection technology has made them quieter and cleaner at the tailpipe and intercooled turbo-charging delivers serious performance from a relatively small engine.  This 2005 Volkswagen Passat GL TDI sedan comes with very low miles, documented service history and spectacular condition, inside and out.  All of us love this car and will miss it.  You will love it too . . .

10 best new car deals of November 2021

Thu, Nov 4 2021

Sales of new cars, trucks and SUVs were drastically affected in 2020 due to the (still) ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The market started to show signs of recovery toward the end of last year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Of course, then pandemic-related parts and worker shortages along with global shipping constraints started running amok and causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. Those problems (among other things) have led to record-high new-car transaction prices in the United States. The good news is that there are still plenty of great deals on new cars. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for November 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).

Volkswagen rolls out all-new Polo R WRC

Sat, Jan 17 2015

Volkswagen may have ruled out producing a road-going Polo more potent than the new GTI, but on the rally stage, the Polo R WRC has proven absolutely dominant. Introduced to the World Rally Championship in 2013, the Polo R won ten out of the baker's dozen rallies in its debut season, and all but one last year to win both titles two years running. That's quite an act to follow, and the task falls to the machine you see here. The new second-generation Polo R WRC was just revealed at Autostadt in Wolfsburg. The rally machine has been substantially reworked for 2015, with a new livery, new bodywork and new oily bits. In fact, Volkswagen says it has revised three quarters of the components, and while it has not yet detailed the "many new ideas [implemented] under the bonnet," it has identified the hydraulic gearbox as "the biggest innovation." Further details are still to come, but this is our first look at the new machine with which Sebastien Ogier, Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen – who finished last year's championship in first, second and third, respectively – will tackle this year's championship, starting with the Rally Monte Carlo on January 22-25. FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) New technology, new design: presenting the second generation Polo R WRC - World premiere of the 318-hp Polo R WRC in Wolfsburg - Member of the Board, Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neusser, launches title defence - WRC kicks off with the iconic Rally Monte Carlo from 22–25 January Wolfsburg (15 January 2015). In top form, both technically and visually: Volkswagen presented the second generation of the Polo R WRC in Autostadt, Wolfsburg. The works team from Wolfsburg has its sights set firmly on another successful defence of its titles in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) with a new car and a new look. Volkswagen completed a clean sweep of all the World Championship titles when the Polo R WRC made its debut in 2013, before repeating this impressive feat last season. Continuity is the key to the driving line-up for 2015: double world champions Sebastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia (F/F) and team-mates Jari-Matti Latvala/Miikka Anttila (FIN/FIN) and Andreas Mikkelsen/Ola Floene (N/N) will roll down the starting ramp and head onto the first special stage of the year for Volkswagen at the legendary Rally Monte Carlo on 22 January. "The new Polo R WRC has undergone intense further development, both on the inside and the outside," said Dr.
