2001 VW Passat V-6, 4motion sedan for sale. Reconditioned with the following work completed:
- New 4motion, 5-speed auto transmission w/ overdrive - New front axles and boots - New serpentine belt - New windshield - New Alpine CD/MP3/SiriusXM head unit with new rear Alipine mids and tweets - New heater core and thermostat - Oil-change The sedan is white with black cloth interior in good shape. It has 129K, and the engine runs great with no knocks or pings or valve noise. It shifts smoothly with the new 4motion transmission. All power items work, including locks, windows, sunroof, heated front seats and power mirrors. The V-6 has plenty of power, and the 4motion transmission is all-wheel drive for the upcoming snow! This VW should last for years to come, and it looks great with no body damage or major dents/dings/scratches. The car is good on gas as well (17-24 city / 24-31 hwy). Here is a review and pricepoint from Cars.com http://www.cars.com/volkswagen/passat/2001/ Please, serious offers only. I am looking for $5995 or best offer (it has over $4200 in new parts, labor and install alone). I will not arrange or prepay for any shipping. Please email me with any questions, thanks!! PS. these are stock photos as my camera is not working. I can email or send camera phone pics by requests. |

Tanner Foust drifts in with new VW Passat [w/video]
Thu, Apr 9 2015Tanner Foust, like many drifting and rallycross names, may have had a long track record with Ford, campaigning Blue Oval drifters in Formula D, the X Games and the Global RallyCross Championship. He won a few medals with Nissan too. But these days he's all about the Volkswagens. He drives a Beetle in the aforementioned GRC, but is now set to return to Formula Drift with the Passat you see here. The Top Gear USA co-host's new ride is ostensibly based on the German sedan we all know, but instead of a 1.8 turbo, a V6, a TDI or even a W8, this one packs a 7.4-liter V8. That mammoth mill sends about 700 horsepower to the rear wheels through a four-speed transmission, but will churn out a good 900 hp on nitrous. In short, it should be better suited towards drifting than the Passat 4Motion this writer tried to slide so many times in his youth. The beast is sponsored once again by Rockstar Energy, and we're looking forward to watching Tanner use it to try and retake the titles he won in 2007 and 2008. Volkswagen Tiguan and Touareg take the R-Line
Mon, 14 Jan 2013
Volkswagen's Detroit Auto Show presence is big on utility this year, with the CrossBlue three-row concept vehicle occupying the lion's share of the limelight, both literally and figuratively. But that isn't stopping Volkswagen from lavishing attention on its already established crossover and sport utility vehicles with new R-Line derivatives. The Tiguan and its big brother Touareg are getting a host of look-faster items to increase their sporting appeal.
On the outside, the Tiguan R-Line receives handsome 19-inch alloys peering out from beneath fender extensions, premium lighting (bi-Xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lamps), along with matching side skirts and a liftgate spoiler. On the inside, sportier accommodations include aluminum trim and a flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters. As with other R-Line models, there are no powertrain modifications to go with the more aggressive visuals (that being the province of R standalone performance models like the R32), though the suspension has been firmed up an unspecified amount. The Tiguan R-Line will be available in front- or all-wheel drive configuration.
