This vehicle has been well cared for by a Volkswagen enthusiast and mechanic. This vehicle does not need anything mechanical. This car is very reliable, performs well and has cold air conditioning. It would make a great daily commuter, which is what I used it for the past year. I am only selling it because I purchased another Volkswagen. It was painted Tornado Red by its original owner early in its life. I have done a lot of preventive maintenance in the last 5,000 miles including, all new OEM sport shocks, front and rear brake pads and rotors, stainless steel front brake lines, new front fender liners, all new front upper and lower control arms (8 total), valve cover and chain tensioner gaskets, battery, coolant tank, radiator, oil cooler, thermostat, water pump, several cooling hoses, spark plugs, ignition coils, headlights assemblies, turn signals lenses, fender marker light lenses, used MK5 Classix wheels with Contiental ContiExtreme Contact tires. This car has many performance modifications installed by the previous owners, which include a Milltek exhaust system, ECM tune (company unknown), silicon turbo inlet hose with K&N cone filter, Bailey's diverter valve. After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.
