2011 Vw Jetta Tdi 69,000 Miles All New Michelin Tires And No Accidents!! on 2040-cars
East Hampton, Connecticut, United States
I purchased this car brand new with 11 miles on 6/13/2011. This vehicle is in perfect mechanical condition with good brakes and brand new tires. I have clear title in hand and car is ready to ship or be picked up by buyer. I can arrange to meet buyer at BDL. I have sold cars, boats and motorcycles on EBay and will gladly assist in any reasonable way. Even shipped a boat to Germany once.
What is wrong with the car? Vehicle has small scratch on left rear panel under tail light. See photo for detail. That is all. Everything else is as it should be Car runs great. I used to go across the state of CT and get 43-48 HWY mpg in the summer, just returned from VT tonight from a ski trip and pulled into the garage with 43 MPG. This car has never had any accidents and never had any paint work. I thought of getting scratch fixed but felt the new owner should take it to a place they trust, should you decide to fix it. I am selling the vehicle because I used to drive across the state often and now no longer have a job which requires me to travel as much. This is a third car for my family so I really have no need for it any longer. This car has never had a pet in it and has never been smoked in. It is always garaged. I had intended on keeping it for far longer and maintained it perfectly. I just had brand new tires put on the car last month and brakes were checked by dealer who said they are good. VW approved synthetic oil changes were done to manufacturer's specs and always done exactly on time. Next oil change is due in 2000 miles. Fuel filter changed at last oil change as well as air filter. Wipers are also brand new. All service records from dealer work come with car. Interior is black and is in perfect condition. No tears. Glass is perfect all around detail. No windshield chips or cracks. Headlights are clear with no cracks or chipping. Windows were tinted last year with 3M tint at a local shop called Attention to Detail--located in Middletown CT. This car looks sharp and is very economical, you will not be disappointed. Please email me with any questions and I will promptly reply. I have been part of eBay since 1995 and have 100% positive feedback rating. |

Fully Charged rolls into season 3 with VW XL1 and electric Land Rover
Sat, Jan 18 2014It's been some time since last we visited with British actor and electric car proponent Robert Llewellyn and his web-based video series, Fully Charged. The show, now sponsored by Ecotricity, has started rolling out its third season and now has available two episodes featuring a pair of truly unique – and diametrically opposed – vehicles. The first installment starts with some interesting numbers involving the host's Nissan Leaf and its energy consumption over the past 36,000 miles, but soon moves on to the ultra-aero, ultra-expensive Volkswagen XL1. Now, if you've already seen the footage from our own XL1 first drive review, there's not a lot new here except, perhaps, more enthusiasm and a better listen of the two-cylinder diesel kicking in. Still, it's a great reminder of a truly unique vehicle and we enjoyed the segment. The second episode features an electrified Land Rover Defender 110. This is a vehicle you'd more likely see on an African safari than at the local mall. It's not a home-built conversion either, but rather, something the company has put together "for the boffins to create the ideas and see if they work." Boasting a 50-mile range, it's certainly something we like to take on an off-road adventure. Llewellyn is given the chance to do just that, and though the course is somewhat milder than what we might attempt, it does feature a stretch of river and some rough, rutted tracks. You can watch both episodes by scrolling below let us know which vehicle you'd prefer in the comments. This writer is going with the four-wheel-drive. This content is hosted by a third party. Tanner Foust drifts in with new VW Passat [w/video]
Thu, Apr 9 2015Tanner Foust, like many drifting and rallycross names, may have had a long track record with Ford, campaigning Blue Oval drifters in Formula D, the X Games and the Global RallyCross Championship. He won a few medals with Nissan too. But these days he's all about the Volkswagens. He drives a Beetle in the aforementioned GRC, but is now set to return to Formula Drift with the Passat you see here. The Top Gear USA co-host's new ride is ostensibly based on the German sedan we all know, but instead of a 1.8 turbo, a V6, a TDI or even a W8, this one packs a 7.4-liter V8. That mammoth mill sends about 700 horsepower to the rear wheels through a four-speed transmission, but will churn out a good 900 hp on nitrous. In short, it should be better suited towards drifting than the Passat 4Motion this writer tried to slide so many times in his youth. The beast is sponsored once again by Rockstar Energy, and we're looking forward to watching Tanner use it to try and retake the titles he won in 2007 and 2008.
