It drives straight, pulls and stops hard. The car is in the highest available trim level - Autobahn. Hatchback 2-door with 6-speed manual. All of the car's technical systems work - no warnings on the cluster, check engine lights, airbag lights etc. Car will come with a set of weather mats, set of keys and original owner's books. The car had the right fender and right door replaced - I supervised the work myself and made sure that the paint was matched perfectly. The car has been fixed to factory specifications and I made sure it was fixed properly before it was painted (can provide pictures). After the car was done, the oil was changed and all the system have been cleared by a certified Volkswagen technician at Gunther VW. Vehicle has already been state inspected and the DMV has issued the Rebuilt title - it is just as good as a clean title but with salvage history, allowing the car to be registered anywhere in the US or CANADA.

Touring the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg

Forgive the ribbon up top - this isn't so much of a Read This as a Look At This. Ran When Parked took a tour of the sprawling Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and while there's a spot of text about the different and unique vehicles on display in the rotating exhibits, it's largely the collection of pictures of odd, one-off VW-badged cars and vans that excites. If you're a fan of the weird and wild, this is a post you'll want to look at.
As RWP points out, this is the larger, but less busy, museum targeted purely at Volkswagen products. The smaller AutoStadt museum, meanwhile, covers a much broader swath, with products from other Volkswagen Group members. VW to announce $1B investment in Mexico plant

Big news south of the border could be slated for later this week, as Automotive News is reporting that the Volkswagen Group will announce a $1-billion investment in the company's Puebla factory. The company officially declined to comment, but AN is claiming the investment in the Puebla facility, which has been operating for over five decades, will add 1,900 jobs to the nearly 16,000-strong workforce. According to AN, a person familiar with the situation in Puebla claims the investment will support production of the next-generation Tiguan, slated to arrive in 2017. The Puebla factory currently produces Golf, while total output last year nearly hit half a million vehicles, or about 15 percent of Mexico's total automotive output.
