2002 VW GOLF with 119K miles, the engine will not turn over.

This car is adult owned, non smoker, and regular maintenance always performed.

2008 the water pump, timing belt, accessory belt, and tensioners were replaced at about 85K miles.

2011 the coolant and trans fluid was flushed and replaced at about 98K miles.

2013 Feburary, the engine died, and would not turn over. The starter just clicks. I pulled the T-belt cover off and the T-belt is intact and looks fine. The check engine light was always on for one glow plug or the other, replaced the glow plugs but the light kept coming on, ordered a glow plug harness and never installed it, it is included. I have been thinking about fixing it myself, but have decided to just sell the vehicle. Since the vehicle has been sitting the battery has died, and will not hold a charge, it has to be jumped to turn the vehicle on.

The front tires are in great shape, the rear tires are at about 50%. The body and paint is in excellent shape, Never wrecked or repaired. There are small 4 door dings, 2 on each side. The windshield has a long crack in it. The interior needs vacumed and detailed, it is basically exactly as I left it when it was towed home. There is the factory floor mats in place, some aftermarket black floor mats on top of them, and an extra set of factory floor mats in the trunk.

Clean title. It does have a full tank of diesel. Everything inside the vehicle works HVAC, power windows and locks, sunroof. There is a extra tire in the back, and a space saver tire and tire tools inside. The wheel lock key is there, the hubcaps were removed because they are plastic and brittle.

I will answer any questions I can. I will not ship or arrange shipping, it will be 100% the buyers responsibilty to get the car, it is being sold AS IS-WHERE IS.

VW confirms new TDI for second half of 2014 in Golf, Jetta, Passat and Beetle

Diesel lovers rejoice. Volkswagen is bringing the latest iteration of its 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine - dubbed the EA288 - to the 2015 model year Golf, Jetta, Passat, Beetle (2013 model pictured above) and Beetle Convertible, and the cars will be on sale in the second half of 2014.
While it shares its moniker with the old diesel, the new engine produces 150 horsepower, a 10-hp boost, and 236 pound-feet of torque. VW promises improved fuel economy as well, but it hasn't announced specifically what amount yet. The company claims that despite the same displacement, only the bore spacing is shared with the previous version. The mill includes new features like exhaust gas recirculation, an intercooler integrated into the intake manifold and low-friction camshaft bearings.
VW Group of America has had great success with diesels in the US recently. Vee-Dub and Audi sold 105,899 diesel-equipped models in 2013. It was the first time the group ever sold over 100,000 diesels in a year, and they accounted for 24 percent of sales. Scroll down to read the full press release about the announcement.

The Volkswagen Group is comprised of 11 brands producing 240 vehicles across 49 factories throughout the world. So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range. The Volkswagen diesel scandal will likely have long-term repercussions, reverberating across the industry potentially for years to come – the likes of which we're only beginning to discover. And that could include Formula One. Now if you're thinking that VW doesn't compete in F1, you're right. Even between all of its various brands, the group has little history in post-war grand prix racing. But if was getting close. As we reported last week, the German auto giant and the Red Bull Racing team were nearing an agreement that would (or would have) seen the former take over the latter. The deal was said to include VW developing a new power unit (as the combined turbo engine and electric motor are referred to in the sport) and acquiring the multiple championship-winning team, with the energy drink company that now owns it transitioning back to a more traditional sponsorship role. It remained to be seen, though, just which of its many brands VW would choose to promote through the new program. Team principal Christian Horner, however, now says that the deal has "seemed to go up in smoke." That doesn't mean that it's off the table entirely and indefinitely, but it would follow logically that between the scandal it's currently facing, the ensuing change in leadership, and drop in stock value, the board in Wolfsburg has other problems to focus on and devote its resources. While ostensibly a logical move for Volkswagen, that would leave Red Bull in a difficult position. The Renault partnership that once led to utter domination with four back-to-back world championships has since fallen dramatically off pace. Although it impressively held on last season to come second in the championship with three race wins, it hasn't won a race yet this season Â– and heading into this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, stood fourth in the standings... its worst position since 2008. "With the way the regulations are, unless you have a Mercedes or Ferrari power unit it is quite simply impossible to compete," said Horner. "And if we are not able to compete, then you have to question what is the validity of remaining in F1." If the Volkswagen deal does indeed fall through, the team will likely need to buy its power units from another supplier Â– with its chief rivals as the only likely candidates. Related Video:
