Spectacular mint VR6 turbo golf gti 2 door. This turbo car has run as a turbo for the last 34,000 miles. It has a g-reddy boost controller that has two settings. On low boost it runs 9 psi or so and gives you 290hp max...this is the setting you leave it on as a daily driver. The 345 hp is not really used much as I drive to work every day...may be a few highway bursts if a wrx happens along(I am 50 years old...so no not often) The water methanol injection system as well as the huge intercooler up front is what makes this car so reliable. the water methanol injection system is automatic and requires filling about once a year the way I use the car. the labonte methanol injection controller also shows injector duration etc...a nice little readout display.
Fancy eclipse stereocd/dvd/gps unit sounds great and looks great. Everthing works as it should including the sunroof. Clean clean clean car.
The car is lowered 1.5" and has the fancy kosei rims and great Cotinental extreme contact tires. Car is a 9.5 with only a couple dings and almost perfect paint. R32 spoilers etc. 3" stainless exhaust...you get the idea. nothing sounds like a vr6 turbo with a 3" exhaust...amazing sound.

Volkswagen Multivan Alltrack Concept takes the luxury van life off road
Wed, 05 Mar 2014Volkswagen dug into its commercial vehicle fleet for its latest Geneva Motor Show concept, blending the versatile body of the T5 MultiVan with a luxuriously appointed interior, 4Motion all-wheel drive and a thrifty diesel powertrain.
That 177-horsepower diesel engine routes its power to the AWD system through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Based on that alone, we'd expect the Multivan Alltrack's behind-the-wheel experience to be somewhat familiar. That all-wheel-drive system and van body contribute to the 21-degree approach and 15-degree departure angles of this soft-roading MultiVan.
What wouldn't be familiar is its exquisite cabin. Volkswagen opted for a nautical theme for the concept's interior, featuring grey-blue leather seats from Poltrona Frau and a floor finished in real wood. The dark wood trim can also be found throughout the interior, running below the windows and on the dash.
Last VW bus ever made arrives at final destination
Fri, 31 Jan 2014A Brazilian politician tried to save it, unsuccessfully, so the final Last Edition Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi was produced on December 20, 2013 and now resides in a vintage museum at Volkswagen's Commercial Vehicles HQ in Hanover, Germany.
The Volkswagen Microbus was built for 56 years, starting in September 1957. Brazil was the last country still assembling it, but new safety regulations in the country requiring airbags and ABS on all cars spelled the end. When that politician introduced a bill that would pardon only the 'Bus from a death sentence, it couldn't garner the required number of votes for passage. The South American country takes the Kombi production title, though, with 1.5 million of the 3.5 million total made in the home of Copacabana beach and the girl from Ipanema.
The VW Bus is dead. Now perhaps we can turn our attentions to the still-not-totally-settled matter of the Bulli...
Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
