You are bidding on a 1999 full EuroVan Winnebago camper in a No Reserve auction. It has below average miles (104,246) and is in good condition. We have owned it for 9 1/2 years, and both we and the previous owner have always garaged it. It has been driven very little in the winter, and has lived its life in Colorado (minimal salt on roads). It has worked well on the 4 long trips we have taken it on, but haven't used it as much as we expected in terms of shorter or weekend trips, and have only put 54,000 miles on it during our ownership. Under normal mostly highway conditions, we get about 20 miles per gallon; on this summer's trip to Alaska with a fairly heavy load including a 17' kayak acting as a sail going into the wind, we averaged 19.6 mpg. This is about the size of a Dodge Caravan extended minivan, so unlike larger campers, it can be easily driven in the city and parked in a normal parking space. While we have never done so, it could be used as a daily driver in addition to a camper.
Features:
Pop-up camper with beds up and down, so it sleeps a cozy 4.
Optional middle bench seat that has never been used to increase seating capacity to 6.
Propane furnace.
Refrigerator running on cabin battery, plug in, or propane.
Two burner propane stove, Sink
CD Player (2007)
Yakima rack on top for bikes or kayaks (those attachments not included). There is also a bike rack that goes on the rear tailgate that we got from the previous owner that we have never used that we are happy to toss in.
A second newer mounted spare tire in almost new condition. Also, a pair of never used tire chains (cables).
Brand new windshield.
It has a cream colored clear bra on the front (see picture).
Captains chairs in front swivel 180 deg to use as seats in cabin. Two tables that collapse and are stowed between drivers seat and frig.
The car is in good condition. There are minor scrapes on the passenger side of the front bumper and center of the rear bumper (see last two pictures for detail), and there are half a dozen minor chips in the paint above the clear bra on the front or on the side - typical for a car of 100,000 miles in good but not pristine condition. There are a couple of minor scrapes on top of the roof that don't really show (as a result of not taking the kayak off cleanly). The tires are fair (24,500 miles). When my mechanic checked the car out before this summer's Alaska trip, he said that the brakes had about half of their life left. The engine battery was new in January and the cabin battery new in June. It has a fresh oil change and is ready for another Alaska trip.
Note: A few of the pictures showing the interior show apparent dots or splotches that aren't real - the flash caught rain drops. After waiting for the rain to stop for 2 1/2 days, a rarity in Colorado, I gave up so the pix aren't quite up to snuff.
If you have any questions, please use the Ask a Question link or call Bill @ 303-809-6763. Please ask questions before bidding. Your bid is a legally binding contract. You or your representative are welcome (and encouraged) to inspect the car before bidding. I am in the Denver area. The $500 deposit should be by PayPal or overnight check within two days. The balance should be by certified check within 7 days. Bank transfers are not acceptable due to issues with scammers. Please plan on picking up the vehicle or arranging shipping within 20 days.
For those not familiar with EBay policies, the Buy It Now price of $22,500 will disappear shortly after bidding starts - it is not indefinitely available on a no reserve auction. (The last car I sold on EBay had the Buy It Now price go away after bidding started, and a bidder was unhappy that the final bid price was above the original Buy It Now price.) If you want to lock in the Buy It Now price, don't wait. In recent months, most of the EBay listed Eurovan campers of similar mileage and age have had asking prices of $31-41,000, or have had a lot more miles on them.
If you have less than 3 feedback responses or negative feedback, call me before bidding, or I will cancel your bid. Having had 4 scammers trying to mess up the auction the last time I sold a car on EBay, it isn't worth the headaches of dealing with unidentified no feedback bidders. Scammers, don't even bother trying to mess with the auction - you won't get the bank account information you want from me under any circumstances.

Automakers suspend some business in Russia following invasion
Mon, Feb 28 2022These Russian GAZ Tigr infantry mobility vehicles were destroyed by Ukrainian fighters in Kharkiv on Monday. (Getty Images) Â Global auto and truck makers, including Sweden's Volvo Cars and Germany's Daimler Truck, on Monday suspended some business in Russia following that country's invasion of Ukraine. Russian forces invaded Ukraine last week, marking the biggest attack by one state against another in Europe since World War II. Many firms have idled operations in Russia following Western sanctions against Russia. Energy giant BP Plc, Russia's biggest foreign investor, abruptly announced over the weekend it was abandoning its 20% stake in state-controlled Rosneft at a cost of up to $25 billion. On Monday, Swedish automaker Volvo Cars said it would suspend car shipments to the Russian market until further notice, becoming the first international automaker to do so as sanctions over the invasion continue to bite. In a statement, the company said it had made the decision because of "potential risks associated with trading material with Russia, including the sanctions imposed by the EU and US." "Volvo Cars will not deliver any cars to the Russian market until further notice," it said. A Volvo spokesman said the carmaker exports vehicles to Russia from plants in Sweden, China and the United States. This came as Russia warned Sweden and Finland not to join NATO or risk facing “serious military-political consequences." Volvo sold around 9,000 cars in Russia in 2021, based on industry data. Earlier on Monday, RIA news agency reported Volkswagen had temporarily suspended deliveries of cars already in Russia to local dealerships, citing a company statement. VW had no immediate comment when contacted by Reuters. VW previously said it would halt production for a few days this week at two German factories after a delay in getting parts made in Ukraine. Daimler Truck said on Monday it would freeze its business activities in Russia with immediate effect, including its cooperation with Russian truck maker Kamaz. Mercedes-Benz Group is also looking into legal options to divest its 15% stake in Kamaz as quickly as possible, the Handelsblatt newspaper reported. A Mercedes spokesperson told Reuters business activities would have to be re-evaluated in light of the current events. Mercedes-Benz Group, formerly Daimler AG, was the parent company of Daimler Truck before the truck maker was spun off.
VW may make Bentley a subsidiary of Audi
Sun, Oct 25 2020FRANKFURT — Volkswagen plans to make British luxury carmaker Bentley a subsidiary of its Audi division as it seeks economies of scale among its top-end brands, German trade publication Automobilwoche reported. Bentley, for now overseen by the head of VW's Porsche business, Oliver Blume, will from next year be part of Audi, where VW group Chief Executive Herbert Diess believes it has more potential, Automobilwoche cited company sources as saying. Synergies could include using Audi technology for a new Bentley SUV, it added. Volkswagen, which declined to comment on the report, is reviewing the future of its high-performance brands Lamborghini, Bugatti and Ducati motorcycles as part of broader quest for more economies of scale as it shifts to mass producing electric cars. Sources familiar with the matter told Reuters this month that Volkswagen was working on plans to prepare Lamborghini for a stock market listing. Related Video: Audi Bentley Volkswagen
How should Volkswagen deal with its diesel problems?
Mon, Sep 21 2015The hounds of hell are bearing down on Volkswagen in the wake of allegations of cheating on diesel emissions testing. In just a single day, Volkswagen's stock has dropped 23 percent and the German government has announced that it is going to investigate a far larger number of vehicles over emissions violations. The American storm is quickly becoming a global one. Volkswagen sells over a million diesel vehicles a year and also has more than 13 percent of the automotive market overall – it was the number one automaker in the world up until the scandal. Yet in a matter of hours, Volkswagen has also become a pariah with potential fines and recalls that may be dwarfed by how the alleged lies and deceit change how governments and consumers view the company. Consumers are really going to be the key to the company's survival. It's those consumers who are really going to be the key to the company's survival. Every single one of them now finds themselves with a product that was sold illegally and may not be registered until recall work is done. What's worse is that Volkswagen doesn't yet have a solution for the emissions issue to offer these customers. It should also be noted that this is not the first time Volkswagen has found itself in violation of EPA emission regulations. Volkswagen is in a world of trouble, so what now? As a car dealer and former financial analyst who took several companies public, I believe Volkswagen can and should consider three points of action that would make an enduring difference in the times to come. 1. Offer affected TDI owners a compelling reason to stay with the brand. Recall work and a cup of coffee at the dealership are not going to be enough to placate current owners. Volkswagen should provide compensation for customers at the earliest opportunity and offer some type of inducement that keeps them within the fold. This shouldn't be the industry's version of a Chuck E. Cheese coupon - a small discount on a new vehicle. Volkswagen needs to offer something along the lines of a strong warranty extension of the entire powertrain (not just the emissions system) or some type of valuable feature upgrade for these vehicles so that owners feel that they have been treated fairly. Perhaps a combination of a brand new navigation system, software upgrades for the infotainment components, or some type of basic free WiFi service would be a healthy act of generosity.
