We are pleased to present this absolutely very nice 2007 Volkswagen EOS for your consideration. We recently acquired this EOS from a car dealership where it was traded in by its original owner on a brand new car. This car has had just two loving owners since it was new, and they took remarkably good condition of this car. What makes this EOS truly special is the fact that it has a 6 Speed manual transmission. This is incredibly rare, as the vast majority of these cars are automatic. This gives the car an incredibly fun to drive character, along with its peppy 2.0 Liter turbocharged 4 Cylinder engine. Also, it achieves all of this while getting around 30MPG! On top of all of this, The EOS has one of the car industry's most innovative power folding roofs. It is the only Convertible ever made which has a fully-functional power glass moonroof integrated within the convertible top! You can open just the moonroof, or you can put the entire roof down which folds back into the trunk. There is even still trunk space available with the roof retracted. The moonroof is glass and has a sliding sun shade just like any other car with a moonroof. There is also a pop-up wind deflector which can be used for both the moonroof, and when the convertible top is down. This prevents wind from coming into the cabin over the top of the windshield -- something that many convertible manufacturers overlook!

The interior of this EOS is in very good condition. The black leatherette seats are in nearly perfect condition for the car's age with no tears and no cracking. They're still very soft, and feel great. One of the great things about them being made of a synthetic material is that if you accidentally leave the top down, they won't be ruined like leather would be. They also have perforations in them for ventilation to make them more comfortable. Everything in the interior works. The car has a fancy upgraded stereo system which plays CDs as well as MP3 CDs. This can really come in handy!. It's easy to use, and sounds excellent. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. The cigarette lighter hasn't been used, nor has the ash tray. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages. This VW has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags. There is a set of rubber floor mats included which are in nice condition.

The exterior of this EOS is in remarkably good condition for the year and miles, and is Salsa Red in color. There are some minor dings in the car, but nothing major at all. I couldn't find any scratches worth mentioning. It has very nice alloy wheels which are in very good condition. The car's overall exterior condition is very nice. Since Volkswagen has never changed the design of he EOS, it could almost pass for a nearly-new car!

The tires are all in nice shape with good tread life remaining. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.0 litre turbocharged direct injected 4 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. This is one of the smoothest engines made by Volkswagen, and it is likely the first thing you will notice upon driving the car. The transmission also operates properly. It's very smooth shifting and the clutch feels great. All of the car's accessories work including the power windows and moonroof. These are very reliable cars. The convertible top works perfectly as well!

NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds Â– AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. LG Chem's batteries for the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan will be the Korean company's first time engineering and manufacturing a complete battery pack in Michigan for a volume production North American plug-in hybrid. The packs include lithium-ion cells, electronics and control units. The batteries were engineered at LG Chem's Troy, Michigan facility, and will be built at the company's Holland, Michigan plant. "Our experience with entire battery packs, including cell design and manufacturing capability, as well as our expertise in vehicle integration, makes us the ideal battery supplier for the Pacifica Hybrid," says LGCPI CEO Denise Gray. "We believe our technical strengths, engineering and manufacturing expertise, position us as a leading battery and control system provider for electric vehicles today and in the future." The van, which is suited to family, taxi or city delivery use, can run on CNG or bio-natural gas in addition to gasoline. It also features a six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission Â– a first in its class. The multiple high-pressure tanks for compressed gas are located under the floor, preserving all the Caddy's precious cargo space. A TGI version of the Caddy Alltrack will also be available, initially with a six-speed manual transmission, with the DSG option arriving in the middle of 2016. German prosecutors investigating Audi for emissions scandal

After weeks of investigation into Volkswagen by prosecutors in Braunschweig, Germany, attorneys in Ingolstadt will also begin an examination into Audi's potential role in the emissions scandal. They reportedly received multiple criminal complaints that requested an inquiry, including one from Audi, according to Bloomberg. The prosecutors in Ingolstadt want to focus on people within the automaker that are responsible for emissions. However, the investigation is still too early in the process to identify any specific suspects. The German lawyers might also eventually combine their cases, but they remain separate for now. "Braunschweig took those parts that are clearly located at Volkswagen and asked us to keep the elements limited to Audi," a spokesperson for the Ingolstadt attorneys told Bloomberg. Audi has 2.1 million vehicles worldwide with Volkswagen Group's emissions-cheating four-cylinder diesel, including an estimated 13,000-14,000 of them in the US. The Environmental Protection Agency also recently filed a second violation notice against the 3.0-liter TDI V6 that was used in several of the company's models here, and the automaker responded with a stop sale for them. VW Group's carbon-dioxide emissions cheating in Europe also reportedly involves some Audi models. In that case, engineers admitted to artificially improving test results to achieve the cuts that the automaker requested.
