2000 Volkswagen Cabrio Green With Green Roof on 2040-cars
Lapeer, Michigan, United States
Fun little sporty convertible. Truth is....we have only owned this vehicle for a few weeks. We bought this to fill a need but since then I have found the car I have dreamed about forever. In the time that we have owned it we had a new muffler put on and have put 4 new tires on it. Really have not driven it much. Due to it being winter I don't know weather or not he air conditioning works, I can hear the compressor turn on. (Who needs air, when your in a convertible, haha) The top goes down manually very easily unfortunately the power top does not work. Drives and rides nice. Seems that there may be some issue with some fuses, the drivers heated seat does not work but the passenger one does, power door locks work sporadically, cruise seems to not work. Not sure if these issues may be fuse related. Nice Kenwood CD player that can jam. Roof not leaky. Have the cover for the convertible top when top down. Does have a check engine light on. Recent oil change done. Timing belt was done at 75,000 miles. No tears in soft top. Local pick up only REMEMBER: Summer is on its way, a convertible would sure be at of fun in the sun! $500.00 deposit due immediately, full payment required within 48 hours. VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad
Mon, 28 Jan 2013
Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.
Touring the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg
Mon, 23 Sep 2013Forgive the ribbon up top - this isn't so much of a Read This as a Look At This. Ran When Parked took a tour of the sprawling Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and while there's a spot of text about the different and unique vehicles on display in the rotating exhibits, it's largely the collection of pictures of odd, one-off VW-badged cars and vans that excites. If you're a fan of the weird and wild, this is a post you'll want to look at.
As RWP points out, this is the larger, but less busy, museum targeted purely at Volkswagen products. The smaller AutoStadt museum, meanwhile, covers a much broader swath, with products from other Volkswagen Group members.
