Here is my 1967 VW split window bus.  Just about everything on this bus is new or has been restored.  Only year for the split window with 12 volt system.  This bus has a professionally rebuilt 1600 dual port with everything new on it.  Currently has about 700+ miles on it.  Runs very nice.  Everything electrical has been replaced with new ... everything.  Front beam has been rebuilt with all new bushings, tie rods, pitman arm, etc. etc.  The entire brake system is new and the single system master cyclinder has been upgraded to a 2 circuit system.  I do have a rear seat for the bus that will need recovered.  The bed is easy to remove but we built it with the desire to take it camping and to cruise around in.  I believe the photos tell the story of the time and dedication to this bus... I welcome anyone to come take a look at it.. it is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early.   I will not ship but would help load on a truck of your choice and dime once it is paid in full.  I have no worries of jumping in this bus and driving anywhere.  The only thing that needs fixed is a seal in the transmission.  I replaced all the seals quite few years ago during restoration and the one is leaking a little... or as everyone says... They mark their spot.  It is an easy fix I just have not had time to pull it out to replace the seal. I can be reach at 814-673-zero one 44.  If I do not answer I am probably working and will call you back ASAP.  I can send photos of any part of this bus you want.  Thanks... Rob

To answer some questions... All turn signals and brake lights are LED.   The reserve price is much lower than the amount I have into this bus and is fair.  The paint is awesome and was painted in the fall of 2011 by a well known professional paint guy in our area.  Thanks for the questions.

Volkswagen Golf Wagon leaked ahead of official unveiling

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Wagons ho! These three images of the upcoming Volkswagen Golf Wagon have leaked online ahead of the car's official debut, which may very well be at the Geneva Motor Show. Looking over the photos doesn't really bring any surprises - after all, this is a VW Golf with a wagon rear end grafted on, or basically what we expect next Jetta SportWagen will be.
We can only share these three images at this time, but fret not, folks. There's little doubt that all the details and images will be flowing from Volkswagen in short order. In the meantime, click on the images above to view them in high resolution.

VW stops diesel sales in Europe

Wed, Oct 21 2015

You can't buy a 2016 VW TDI with "cheater software" in the US right now, since the German automaker needs to revamp its diesel cars to legitimately pass emissions tests. That could take months. Sales of affected new VW diesels throughout Europe have now been put on hold as well. Exactly how many cars are affected is unclear, but Reuters says it is a "limited number." In the US, roughly 20 percent of the cars VW sold this year were diesels (until last month, when the diesel share dropped to 11.7 percent. Expect a further drop in October's numbers). In Europe, though, diesels make up about half of the overall vehicle fleet, so stopping sales there will have a much bigger impact. The good news for VW and its related brands is that the only diesels that will no longer be sold are the ones on dealer lots that use the EA 189/Euro 5 engine. The bad news is that that engine is used in a lot of VW products, mostly small and midsize cars. This includes popular vehicles like the Audi A3 and the VW Golf. Larger diesel vehicles use engines that reduce emissions using a urea solution called AdBlue. The smaller EA 189 engine was not built with an AdBlue process, and instead used software to make it seem like the cars were cleaner than they really were. Reuters says the currently not-for-sale vehicles with the EA 189 powerplant will be "upgraded" and then - hopefully - sold. A description of this fix should be made in Europe in November.

Porsche board members facing another ˆ1.8B lawsuit over VW takeover bid

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

Back in 2008, Porsche got the bright idea that it could take over Volkswagen in the midst of the worst economic slump since the Great Depression. Ignoring that this was a catastrophic move for the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer that that eventually resulted in it nearly going bankrupt and eventually being taken over by the same company it sought to control, the aftermath has left Porsche Chairman Wolfgang Porsche and board member Ferdinand Piëch in the crosshairs of seven hedge funds that lost out during the takeover and are now seeking €1.8 billion - $2.43 billion US - in damages from the two execs, according to the BBC.
See, investors bet on Volkswagen's share price going down, partially because Porsche said it wasn't going to attempt a takeover. But Porsche was attempting to take over VW, having bought up nearly 75-percent of VW's publicly traded shares. When word broke that Porsche owned nearly three-quarters of VW (which indicated an imminent takeover attempt), rather than go down like the hedge funds bet it would, VW's share price skyrocketed to over 1,000 euros per share, according to Reuters.
Naturally, when you bet that a company's share price is going to drop and it in turn (temporarily) becomes the world's most valuable company, you lose a lot of money, unless you're able to buy up shares before prices jump too much. This led to a squeeze on the stock, which the hedge funds accuse Porsche and Piëch (who are both members of the Porsche family and supervisory board) of organizing.
