1967 tin roof walk-thru original VW Westfalia with documentation from dealer when purchased new. This is a beautiful completely restored original Westfalia. New Dove Blue paint, upoulstry, new carpet, original fridge, fold out bed, original cabinets, tables, spice rack, original interior wood paneling in great shape. Recent professional complete restoration, detailed undercarriage which looks almost as nice as the top of the bus, zero rust. All original service manuals, Westfalia manual, warranty card with maintenance records from purchase date. This bus was sold new in New Mexico and stayed in Southern California since the late sixties until I bought it a few years ago. Bus was professionally lowered with drop spindles. Bus runs and drives perfect. Rebuilt freeway flyer transmission, rebuilt engine, electronic ignition, 12 volt, rebuilt brakes, rebuilt carb, rebuilt heads (1600 cc single port). Bus cruises smoothly at highway speeds. Engine and transmission have less than 400 miles on them. New steering box. New front suspension. Have all receipts and documentation for all work done.. Has rare covers for windshield and hatch area which also double as bug screens. Have all screens for windows. This is one of the cleanest buses I have seen. The interior looks new but is original. New upoulstry on all seats including fold out bed and other seats in cargo area. New steering wheel. This bus also has the original Saphire radio which works perfectly. This restoration is done to show quality, too much to list. This is one of the only tin roof walk-thru Westfalia's currently on the market worldwide. Very few of these were produced. More photos available, just let me know what you need to see. |

Volkswagen Golf Variant will make a lovely Jetta SportWagen
Tue, 05 Mar 2013In addition to several other versions of the Golf, Volkswagen is debuting the new Golf Variant (read: wagon) here at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. And if this bigger version of the Golf looks like it might fit right at home in the States, it's because we could possibly see some version of this car as the next-generation Jetta SportWagen here on our shores.
Volkswagen is debuting the Golf Variant with two efficient diesel engines, rated at 110 and 150 horsepower, the smaller of which is good for an impressive 71.3 miles per gallon on the European cycle (when mated to a six-speed manual transmission). The Golf Variant also gets a version of Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system, making it incredibly all-weather capable.
It's a handsome estate, and it wears the new Golf's design language well. We can't say for sure if this car will actually make its way Stateside, but given the fact that the current Jetta SportWagen still rides on the old Golf platform, the odds look to be in our favor.
Skoda racing Up! to Worthersee with Citigo Rally concept
Thu, 17 May 2012If you thought the Volkswagen Group was about to wind down the endless stream of concept cars based on the new Up! city car, think again. Because not only is the Volkswagen brand itself keeping the train a-moving, so are its sister brands.
Skoda has its own version of the Up called the Citigo. But what racing fans know the Czech subsidiary for best is its rally program that has become a dominant force in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and the basis for VW's own foray into the World Rally Championship. Now Skoda is bringing the two together with an exciting concept car previewed by the rendering above and confirmed in the press release below.
Following in the footsteps of the tantalizing Fabia roadster unveiled last year, the Citigo Rally concept is to be the centerpiece of the Skoda display at the Volkswagen Group's annual hot-hatch gathering at Lake Wörthersee in Austria. Details are scarce, but the show car will feature rally-inspired bodywork complete with 18-inch white alloys packed into aggressively flared wheel arches, a substantial rear wing and vents aplenty.
