This is a 2002 Beetle TDI that is owned by an elderly customer of ours, it is a clean car overall but has an engine issue. The car runs and drives ok, but does smoke excessively at start up, and intermittently while driving, the engine runs rougher than it should, and the oil pressure light will come on after it fully warms up. The customer declined to do further diagnostics on the engine as they do not want to put any more money into the car. I suspect that it has bottom end problems, but we are too busy with our day to day work to take it apart and diagnose. We need the room in our parking lot, so this needs to go.

The car is pretty clean for the year, the body is not bad other than the damaged lower front bumper. The seats have had covers on them for awhile, the upholstery looks pretty good underneath them, maybe a few stains. The car has been maintained pretty well by the owner, brakes, tires etc. all look good. Pretty much everything seems to work, the check engine light and airbag warning light are on. The timing belt service was done at 79k miles. We can cooperate with a shipper if you need us to for loading etc., and we can hold car up to 30 days as long as it is fully paid for. Volkswagen Cross Up! headed for production after Geneva reveal

The last time we saw the Volkswagen Cross Up!, it was sitting out in the snow in prototype form, but the next time we'll see this slightly more rugged version of the diminutive Up! hatchback will be when it makes its production debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Looking like a micro-crossover with its raised ground clearance and black cladding, the Cross Up! will be the fourth "Cross" model for VW (after the CrossPolo, CrossGolf and CrossTouran) when it goes on sale this summer in mainland Europe (UK sales remain up in the air and US sales are highly unlikely).
Overall, the styling of the production Cross Up! has stayed fairly true to the 2011 concept car, including the front and rear fascias that offer a more rugged look, stocky 16-inch wheels and roof rack side rails. Inside, this model will get unique interior enhancements such as "Cross Up!" sill plates and an instrument panel available in red, black or silver. Like the regular Up!, the Cross Up! is powered by a 74-horsepower, 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and it doesn't look like all-wheel drive will be part of the picture. VW teams up with legendary electronic musicians Kraftwerk for 3D Autobahn concert

Electronic music fans know Kraftwerk. To paraphrase a famous TV anchor, they're kind of a big deal. The band is in the midst of an eight-concert show at Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie, which includes a full 3D accompaniment. Why, you ask, is this on Autoblog, then? VW TDI ads star four 'salty' ladies and a stinky dog named Tuna

The Kim Kardashian sex tape just keeps on giving: it brought the Three Golden Sisters to our attention, and now Volkswagen has used their comedic, Bronx grandmother schtick to promote its TDI engines. The ads are another round in the fight against the malicious perceptions of diesel – like how they're slow and loud (they aren't), that it's hard to find a station to refill (it isn't), and that they stink (they don't). Tanner Foust makes an appearance in one spot to dispel the notion of sluggishness, and Tuna the Dastardly Dog proves that she (or he?) can outstink a diesel any day.
