this is a super reliable beetle that i have driven from nc to new york , to chicago twice with no issues what so ever . has a 1641 engine with two reliable webber carbs. car has 1 1/2 year old paint , has new custom interior with scat seats that have been redone to be comfortable.has a super beetle trans. has disc brakes new wheels and tires last year.i was in a motorcycle acc. last spring and didn,t drive all last year.car has been in garage.has aux. heater blowers. has bamboo shelf inside dash has not been cut for radio . (no radio).it is great on gas . it is in perfect condition. can be driven any where with out worry.engine has about 20000 miles since rebuild. uses no oil. interior was done by BOBBYS AUTO TRIM< TROUTMAN NC. has grant steering wheel, new brakes,has quite exhaust with 2 mufflers.has alternator.all lights ,turn signals ect. work as should . i drove this car anywhere. has good paint, needs nothing, drive and enjoy.can ship anywhere on our trucks for $.50 c.per mi one way i have owned this car 5 yrs . good floor pans. has early style bumpers. Volkswagen and Funny or Die take humorous spin in 2015 Golf
Wed, 10 Sep 2014Volkswagen is partnering with Target and Funny or Die in a bizarre ad for the latest Golf starring comedian Rob Huebel, probably best known for his work on Childrens Hospital on Adult Swim.
The commercial is titled The Way Too Helpful Neighbor and stars Huebel as the eponymous neighbor. The challenge is for Huebel to help improve his buddy's apartment before the guy meets his girlfriend's parents for the first time. The obvious way to do that is to slide a new Golf through an actual Target in Texas, while simultaneously showcasing the store's goods and the car's features.
The commercial is airing online now and on TBS during breaks in Conan O'Brien's show, with sneak peaks during other programs on the network. Auto advertising is becoming pretty normal for Funny or Die at this point, though, with the site previously partnering with Fiat for several videos. 2013 Volkswagen GTI Driver's Edition brings exclusivity to the granddaddy of hot hatches
Thu, 07 Feb 2013The Volkswagen booth at this year's Chicago Auto Show was filled with various special edition models of the Beetle and GTI. In addition to the GTI Wolfsburg Edition, the Volkswagen GTI Driver's Edition helps to wrap up the 2013 model year as VW readies the all-new MkVII Golf next year.
Only 3,000 of the GTI Driver's Edition models will be produced in four-door body style only, and the available color palette will be limited to just Candy White, Carbon Steel Gray and Deep Black. The package will come standard with the GTI's Sunroof and Navigation package, and it will add unique features such as the 18-inch "Laguna" wheels, a golf-ball shift knob, partial leather seats and red-stitching on the carpeted floor mats. Buyers of this package will also get a certificate of authenticity and some GTI swag such as a hat, keychain and parking sign.
Starting price for the 2013 Volkswagen GTI Driver's Edition is $29,695 with the six-speed manual and $30,795 if you choose the DSG - both prices exclude destination charges.
