1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle, Solid Build, Raked Out, Turbo Kit, Roof Rack on 2040-cars
East Greenbush, New York, United States
Up for auction is one 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. this has been a favorite in my collection for quite some time, and my wife is having a hard time letting her go. this has always been the most reliable out of my fleet of classic vehicles, and has traveled all over the northeast on some fantastic buggy adventures. She has an amazing look and feel to her, wonderful patina an draws a crowd wherever I go. Supports a freshly built 1600 dual port, stock build 26mpg Adjustable New Empi front suspension, with rear adjustable torsion bars included Recovered Seats Roof Rack Turbo Kit ready for install, Custom made Subaru style setup that came off a running 1600 New Tires/Brakes/MasterCylinder/Rear window rubber.....many other random new parts To be clear this car is far from perfect, but shows very well. there is a crack in the dash, flaws in the paint, and other little things that add to the character of the car. Although you would be hard pressed to find a more solid, drivable bug in the northeast. That being said she is an absolute blast to drive, and I recommend anyone interested to contact me and inspect the car in person. I do not want to misrepresent the car, and would rather take you out for a ride and show all the thumbs up you'll get rather than bidding blind.

Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
2015 Volkswagen GTI [w/video]
Fri, 26 Apr 2013The 911 Of Hot Hatches Takes The Compact Game To New Levels
North American car buyers get a bit of a slap in the face when it comes to delivery schedules for new the Volkswagen Golf and pumped-up GTI models. We'll just repeat the old chestnut: It's worth the wait... even though it still stinks. This time around, Western Europe is taking deliveries of the new Golf as we speak, and GTI deliveries start between May and July. North America doesn't get the Mk7 Golf or GTI until about July of 2014.
So we approached our first drive of the new GTI with this chip on our shoulder: "You're making us wait? Well, then at least give us the exact car we'll be able to buy. No compromises, mein freund." And so it was that we extracted nearly all of our drive impressions from behind the wheel of what, for the United States, will technically be a model year 2015 two-door Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance with the standard six-speed manual.
Skoda unveils Volkswagen Up!-based Citigo
Tue, 27 Sep 2011This is the all-new Skoda Citigo, and if you're thinking that it looks rather familiar, that's because its Volkswagen-badged kin recently debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. That's right, the long-rumored Skoda version of Volkswagen's new Up! city car has finally arrived.
Buyers will have a choice of two 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines - one with 59 horsepower, the other with a 74 hp and a blistering 106 mph top speed - both mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Powerful they are not, but these three-bangers should prove to be extremely efficient, with Skoda quoting fuel economy numbers of 62.8 and 60.1 miles per gallon, respectively (on the European cycle).
Being a Skoda, the Citigo will go on sale in its home market of the Czech Republic this fall, with the rest of Europe getting the car next summer. Follow the jump for Skoda's official release.
