This 1976 TR6 roadster was purchased in Florida by the current owner in January 2011 for $10,000

In 2012 & 2013 she invested over $24,500 in restoration:
$ 5,750 on new body, engine bay and chassis paint (3 page invoice)
$ 2,493 on parts from The Roadster Factory, PA (16 pages invoices)
$16,268 in mechanical restoration, including 4 brand new Michelin Harmony 195/60/15 tires, now with less than 500 miles (15 pages invoices)
It has working overdrive.  New convertible top and weatherstripping. There is no hardtop or tonneau cover.
Driving & running condition is very good. It is not a daily driver, just a weekend fun car, but could easily be a daily driver.

It starts right up, with no issues.
Car was purchased from a Florida dealer who had no prior paperwork, so whether mileage is original is unknown.

Condition of car in 2011, prior to restoration suggests that 39,000 is original mileage, but not verifiable.

At the time of restoration the chassis was acid washed and painted chassis black
To retain the patina of a 1970s vintage sports car, as a personal preference, she chose to leave the interior original.
There is a small tear in the left bolster of the passenger seat, visible in the photos.
Perfectionists would probably want to refurbish the steering wheel center and possibly replace the wooden dash as they are in good, but not concours condition.
Her priorities have now changed and she accepts your gain will be her loss.
The Buy Now and Reserve price are significantly lower than the current owner's investment.
This car is super fun to drive, a great value, and should also prove to be a great investment.

The listing states Pompano Beach, FL, but the car is actually in Coral Springs, FL, a 35 minute drive NW of Fort Lauderdale Airport.
Good luck with your bidding!  You will not be disappointed!

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
