Year:1973 Mileage:50

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

This is one of the nicest Triumph TR6 collector cars on planet earth! This car was sold new in New Mexico and always been a New Mexico car. There is no rust anywhere! The body panels are straighter then when this car left the factory. The imperial blue paint is near flawless. The bumpers were polished and re chromed by Hanlon Plating of Richmond, Virginia.
All the instruments were rebuilt. The dashboard and dash cap are new as is the black carpeting, seat foam and blue vinyl seat covers. All molding is new. The black vinyl top, tonneau cover and boot are not brand new but are in such near perfect condition it did not make since to replace them.  The 4 speed transmission and differential have been completely rebuilt as were the front and rear suspensions, brake, all hydraulics clutch pressure plate and disc are new. The rear axle hub bearings and front wheel bearings are new. The radiator has been rebuilt. The alternator and starter are rebuilt and the battery is new. All hoses are new. The engine was completely rebuilt. The crankshaft was turned .010 under, the cylinder bores were honed and new piston rings, rod and main bearings installed. The cylinder head was completely rebuilt and the compression was raised to 9 to 1. An S2 model hot street camshaft from Ted Schumacher along with his hardened lifters were installed. The carburetors were rebuilt. This engine pulls like a freight train! This car has break in miles only on it. Less than 50 miles as of this writing. The tires are Pirelli 205/65 R 15 P 600 with almost no miles on them. I do not have a radio installed in this car at this time but if you let me know what you prefer I will include one at the selling price within reason.  At the "buy it now" price I will include transport to a major city within the 48 Unites States that I agree to. Feel free to ask any detailed questions you wish. Serious buyers should make the trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico and check the car out first hand and take a test drive.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
