This is a TRIUMPH TR6 1971 with Factory Overdrive. It was purchased new by the previous owner in Germany while he was in the military. He had it shipped back to Texas when he returned to the US. It is unique because it still has the two colored (yellow and white) park signal lens in the front which came on TR6s sold in Europe. The color is Signal Red which Triumph only used on TR6s from 1969-1971. It is pretty much all original with 59,015 original miles. The previous owner assured me that this is the correct miles. I have owned this car for four months. It has not run or been driven for several years. The motor still turns free. The previous owner told me there were no major mechanical problems with the car when it was parked. The previous owner held on to it in hopes that he would be able to fully restore it but age caught up with him and did not allow that. The car is pretty much rust free except in the following places: above the right fender, in front of the passenger seat on the right side, at the rear lip of the trunk lid and a small place on the left rear quarter above the tail light (pictures). The right front inner fender needs a little help where it was bumped up. It did not hurt the frame and the right front fender was replaced. They did not do a very good job fixing the inner fender. There is also some damage on the bottom part of the right rear fender from a blown tire (pic). It will be easy to repair.  The frame is straight and solid. The rockers, battery box, trunk bottom and the rear pan are solid. The bumpers are straight and the light lens are in good condition. The seats still have the original covers and are in good condition. The gauges look good. The dash is solid but needs refinishing. The lower three dash pads are good but the top pad has a crack. The top frame works as it should. This is overall a very nice TR6 for restoration. I do have the original owner's name and phone number and will be glad to give it to the buyer. If you would like to come by and take a look that would be great or contact me with any questions I will be glad to answer them, you can email me or give me a call at 336-655-6497.  Please do not purchase the car in attempt to stall until you decide if you want it.  If you have any questions ask them before you buy not after.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
