Nice Quality Older Restoration And Great Color Combination on 2040-cars

Year:1973 Mileage:87000 Color: of the car
Location:

Wilmington, North Carolina, United States

Wilmington, North Carolina, United States

You are bidding on a 1973 Triumph TR6 in Emerald Green over Tan interior with Original Michelin Redline tires. This is a nice restored, low mileage TR6 that is ready to be shown or driven.

This particular TR6 is in good overall condition as can be seen by the photos. It is not a fresh restoration but an older restoration that has been driven, maintained and even upgraded along the way.

The exterior of the car (paint, chrome and glass) are all in good condition. The Paint itself is hard to find fault with in that it shines like new with nary a blemish to be found.  The chrome and glass are the same with the bumpers appearing as new.  Comes as well with all of the original weather equipment (black convertible top, black tonneau cover and black convertible top boot).  All are in good to like new condition with only one small split in the top vinyl. The windows themselves are still clear and very presentable (see photos).

The interior of the car (seats, cockpit, carpet, door panels and dash) are also in very good condition with everything having been restored or replaced during the restoration.  All gauges were replaced with modern "period looking" Auto Meter gauges. Added as well was a period looking and matching wood rimmed steering wheel contributing to a nice overall interior patina.  Of course if you are more inclined to absolute originality, the car does come with all of the original gauges and the factory steering wheel in nice condition.

Mechanically the car runs and drives well.  Starts easily and idles great.  The Clutch, Transmission and Brakes are all working exactly as they should so you can be confident knowing that it is ready for the road.

All 4 painted steel wheels and trim rings are in good condition while riding on old but original Michelin 185/60/15 Redline tires.

Included as well are the factory jack, jack handle and Triumph tool kit pouch, original TR6 owners manual, a new set of Triumph logo floor mats and miscellaneous Triumph catalogues.

Please ask all questions prior to bidding and do not bid unless you intend to buy. Vehicle is being sold as is where is with no warranties either expressed or implied. A $2,000 non-refundable purchase deposit is due within 2 days of the close of the auction.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
