Beautiful 1976 Triumph TR6, 2nd owner same family.  My uncle bought this car new in 1976, and since 1981 we've been going to the Indy 500 where he lived and saw this car every year.  4-years ago he decided to sell the car, and I couldn't wait to buy it.  Drove it home from Indianapolis to San Antonio and had it gone through by a classic British specialist in Austin, TX.  My Uncle has since passed, but never took this car out of the garage if there was a cloud in the sky, and I've followed suit.  The car is an absolute joy to drive and in perfect running order, for a 1976 car.  I spent between $8-9,000 to refresh the car just to make sure it is in this condition.  Just to name a few of the things I've had done....new brakes, brake lines, radiator, alternator, points, seat foam, seat belts, hoses, battery, tires, floor mats, Weber carburetors, steering wheel, stereo, valve adjustment and polished valve cover, and the list goes on.  Every time I take it for a spin, I forget why I'm selling it, but honestly the economy and job front have forced me to consider selling it.  Not a necessity, but in my best interest.  The color of the car is beautiful and always attracts attention and an ensuing conversation.  I'm happy to answer any questions and send any requested photos or receipts I can find.  All I ask is that this goes to a good home as my Aunt is still alive, and just asked about the car when we were in Indianapolis for the 500 a couple weeks ago.  Please, only serious inquiries only.  Buyer is responsible for pickup and transport.  I'm more than happy to offer test drives for anyone who wants to see in person.  Please just give me notice as I have an odd work schedule and need time to make arrangements.  Thank you for viewing, and happy bidding.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
