                         FRENCH BLUE 1975 TRIUMPH TR-6

This TR-6 has gone through two restorations that I am aware of. The current restoration and the previous owner that I bought the car from did extensive mechanical work on the car.

The TR-6 came from South Carlonia.

The TR-6 has Dunlop TR-6 REDLINE AXIOM PLUS tires. The spare is probably the original Micheline REDLINE tire.

The car comes with a tonue cover and full boot cover, both in great shape.

The latest restoration that was done over the past several months were:

1) Carburator rebuild with complete gasket kits.

2) Period green radiator and heater hoses with new clamps, system drained and refilled.

3) Intake manifold removed, painted and installed with a new gasket.

4 Exhaust manifold removed, painted and installed with a new gasket.

5) New thermostat.

6) Valve cover removed, painted and installed with a new gasket.

7) Rebuilt the fuel pump.

8) New Lucas distributor cap wires and rotor, tune-up kit.

9) New battery cables.

10) New brake master cylinder and rebuilt booster.

11) Break lines cleaned out, bled and new blead nipples.

12) Radiator cowl assembly  new.

13) New windshield, gaskets and chrome trim kit.

14) Install rear break lense.

15) Rubber bonnet seal and trunk seals.

16) New front bumper.

17) Shift knob.

The previous owner rebuilt the following:

1) Install a T6G3 camshaft.

2) Water pump.

3) Clutch pressure plate.

4) Vac lines.

5) Seat covers and interior.

6) Complete engine rebuild.

7) Brake pads.

8) Various O-rings, seals, filters, for transmission.

9) Sway bar and bushings.

10) Trailing arm bushings.

11) Throttle springs.

12) Convertable top with zip out rear window.

13) Transmission cowling, and vinyl boot.

14) Fuel lines.

There are very few things the new owner of this TR-6 may elect to do.

The paint appears to be original in most areas. The previous owner did repaint the rear bonnet and other areas. These could be repainted as it does not look to be a perfect application.

The odometer reads 15,601 miles which could be the milage on the rebuilt engine, the title says 69,388. The car is sold as is with no warrentee implied or otherwise.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
