1975 Triumph Tr 6 on 2040-cars

Year:1975 Mileage:31580
Location:

Westlake, Ohio, United States

Westlake, Ohio, United States

Introduction

This vehicle is an amazing low-mileage survivor with only 31,580 original miles! Never been apart, abused, or involved in any accidents. It has been properly cared for all of its life with use limited to Summers only! Car starts and drives very well.

As for ownership history, the original owner had the car for 34 years! Second owner, 5 years, and I am the third owner. I have too many cars in my collection and realize I need to downsize and therefore, reluctantly have to sell.

Mechanicals

The engine runs very well as the oil has been changed regularly and it has had a major tune-up including: new coil, points, condenser, cap, and wires. Carburetors have been rebuilt and tuned. Muffler has also been replaced.

Clutch and Transmission are in good working order.

Brakes are in good working order. The parking brake functions fine as well.

Suspension is in good order as the vehicle rides fine.

Interior

The interior is quite presentable with new carpet and seat foams. The Seat covers, dash top, door panels, and rear bulkhead panel are in very nice condition. The fascia to the dash has some slight crazing which is not uncommon for the vehicle's age.

Body

The car was rust-proofed when new and does not have any rust. The car has undergone one re-spray and still has a nice sheen to it. The paint has some minor blemishes including light scratches and a ding on the left front fender and trunk lid. In addition, the top is new and includes a zippered rear window. Overall, car looks quite sharp!

Frame

The frame is straight and is in very solid and sound condition with no evidence rust or repairs.

Accessories

The car still has the original owners manual, jack, and lug wrench and sleeve.

Documentation

An archive including receipts from recent work will be included with sale of vehicle.

Summary

Overall, with the car being rust-proofed coupled with the proper type of care including indoor storage, it is truly a well preserved classic that deserves a good home. The low-mileage TR-6's are getting harder to find. I have honestly and accurately described the vehicle and would welcome any in-person inspection prior to bidding.

The Triumph Tr 6's are truly the last of the genuine hairy-chested British Roadsters. If you are seeking to invest in a timeless classic with original patina that has been well preserved and never tampered with, here is your chance.

Additional photos are available upon request.

Vehicle is advertised outside of this auction and therefore, I have the right to end the auction at anytime.

There are no implied warranties or guarantees with the sale. Vehicle is sold as-is.

Thanks.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
