1974 Triumph Tr6 on 2040-cars

WHAT A GREAT PROJECT TRIUMPH ****NO RESERVE***
I PURCHASED A BATCH OF TRIUMPHS A COUPLE YEARS AGO, HAVEN'T GOT TO THIS ONE YET AND I NEED TO THIN THE HERD, I'M BUILDING A NEW GARAGE AND COULD USE THE ROOM AND FUNDS. SOLD TO ME BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AS A ONE OWNER PARTS CAR THAT HE BOUGHT OFF HIS BEST FRIEND, HONESTLY IT'S JUST TO GOOD TO PART OUT, IT WILL NEED A NEW FRAME (CHEAPER THAN FIXING)AND SOME SHEET METAL THROWN AT IT. I HAVE RESTORED TR6' THAT NEEDED FAR MORE WORK THAN THIS ONE. ITS VERY COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE BODY PARTS YOU SEE MISSING. THE BONUS TO THIS CAR IS THE STORY WITH IT, IT'S ORIGINAL OWNER REPORTEDLY REBUILT THE ENGINE JUST PRIOR TO THE CRASH AFTER THE CRASH IT SAT AND WAS SOLD TO HIS BEST FRIEND WHOM I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM. I HAVE NO PAPER WORK TO BACK UP THE REBUILD BUT THE ENGINE IS PAINTED A NON-TRIUMPH COLOR BLUE INDICATING IT WAS OUT. I HAVE NO REASON TO BELIEVE THE STORY WAS FABRICATED THE GENTLEMAN I BOUGHT IT FROM WAS A LEGIT TRIUMPH GUY. THIS TR6 DOES HAVE A CLEAN TRANSFERABLE MASSACHUSETTS TITLE AND IS AN EXCELLENT CANDIDATE TO GET INTO A VINTAGE TRIUMPH TR6 FOR CHEAP. ***NOTE*** SHIPPING IS BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY, WE CAN ASSIST ON OUR END WITH FORKLIFT, WINCH ETC. ***WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY IF NECESSARY*** CAR IS ALSO LISTED LOCALLY ***** NO RESERVE SO BID TO WIN***** |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
