For sale is my 2007 Toyota yaris, it has 67,xxx miles and is a great car if you are looking to save on gas (around 40mpg) and have fun doing it, then this car would be great for you!

I bought the yaris a couple years ago from floras auto sales down in Indiana. It had been in an accident and had a salvage title from hitting a deer. I replaced headlights, driver’s side fender and hood. The driver’s door had some damage and was repaired along with the rear door. The title will come reconditioned and 100% ready to insure and transfer the title into your name.

I had everything panted to match but several months ago the paint started to chip some off the front bumper. I tried contacting the place that did the painting and they had gone out of business, so I put a labra front car cover on the yaris and it looks great.

The check engine and Maint Reqd lights are both on, I’ve had both checked and it comes back to something with the AC in the car. I had it looked at by Lentz, a local auto shop and they serviced the AC and it works great and blows ice cold air but the light is still on. The Maint Reqd light, I think is because I’ve done all the oil changes and routine malignance on the car myself, using full synthetic fluids.

The inside of the car is good and has lots of use left in it, plenty of storage space.

Everything on the car works as it should, there is a 2 inch lowing TRD kit added, makes the car handle very nice. Also has a K&N cold air kit, aftermarket angel eye headlights. The tires are in great shape and have life left in them. It also has 5% limo tint. The car comes with a hitch that I just put on so I could move, I used a small uhall trailer and it worked great! I didn’t install the wiring for the hitch but its brand new in the box and comes along with the yaris.

The transmission is a 5 speed manual and shifts as it should. Engine is also in great shape and runs very well with no known issues.

There are several scratches and little dents or imperfections around on the car, I did my best to take pictures of everything.

Toyota pondering high-performance GT86 hybrid?

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

From what Autocar has to say, Toyota has even more plans for the GT86 beyond the convertible concept we just saw at the Geneva Motor Show. Along with a planned midcycle facelift, Toyota is reportedly looking at how to pack some extra ponies under the coupe's hood, and while there has already been a lot of talk about superchargers and turbochargers, it sounds like a performance-boosting hybrid system could also be in the works.
Talking to Toyota chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, Autocar has learned that the automaker is considering an electrical motor assist for the sporty coupe to improve performance without harming fuel economy. In attempting to keep weight - and, presumably, costs - down, the article mentions the use of a system closer to what Honda uses for its Integrated Motor Assist rather than a full Hybrid Synergy Drive system used in current Toyota hybrids. Tada says the added weight of the system could be offset by weight reduction, while aerodynamic changes and a lower center of gravity could improve the car's handling.
No word yet on whether a mild hybrid system would find its way to North America's Scion FR-S - let alone its Subaru BRZ twin - but the thought is certainly an intriguing one.

Nissan, Toyota offering payment deferments to people affected by government shutdown

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Two weeks into the budget-related government shutdown and it sounds like some progress is finally being made, but that doesn't really help furloughed government employees pay their bills. To help out a little, Nissan and Toyota are joining Hyundai with offering payment deferments to current owners and lessees.
In a release, a Nissan spokesperson said the company is "sympathetic to any of our customers who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances - many times outside of their control."
Both Japanese automakers are allowing payment extensions of up to 90 days without penalties or fees. Unlike the Hyundai Assurance Plan, though, it doesn't seem like the Nissan or Toyota assistance will be extended to those who are still in the buying process. Scroll down for press releases from both companies about their respective payment deferment programs.

Cosworth teases upgrades for Subaru BRZ

Mon, 19 May 2014

Subaru may or may not produce an STI version of the BRZ. Things seem to go back and forth on the subject. But Subaru Tecnica International isn't the only company with a history of tuning Subies. So does Cosworth, and now the British racing firm appears to be turning its attention to the BRZ and its Toyota- and Scion-badged siblings.
For those unacquainted, Cosworth is more than your average tuning company. It's a racing firm first and foremost, having made F1 engines under its own name as well as Ford's (chief among them the all-conquering DFV 3.0-liter V8 of 1960s and 70s fame), not to mention engines for Indy, rally and even high-performance, road-going versions of the Ford Sierra, Chevy Vega and Mercedes 190E. The list goes on and on, but you get the point.
Now withdrawing from Formula One, Cosworth is focusing its attention on tuning road cars again with the launch of the Cosworth Power Package line, the first of which will focus on the Toyota GT86 (aka Scion FR-S) and Subaru BRZ. We don't know just yet what will be included in the packaged dubbed FA-20, but from the video teaser below, it seems there'll be upgrades to the exhaust, suspension, aero and - if we're lucky - maybe a super- or turbocharger for the 2.0-liter flat-four engine. We'll have to wait and see, but we get the feeling that with Cosworth on the job, it'll be worth the wait. Check out the minute-long video below in the meantime.
