As stated before, each offering is checked over before selling, but you are not bidding on brand new cars, so there may be parts of the vehicle that are not new. Depending on the age of the vehicle, the various systems involved will be at different levels of wear/service life and there may be the typical tiny chips/dings, blems and other signs of normal wear, inside and out, that you would expect on used vehicles. I am sure this is obvious to most people. Insurance is provided by the transport company for all vehicles during shipping, but my insurance ceases to cover anything once it is sold. According to Federal guidelines, all vehicles 10 or more years old are sold exempt from mileage guarantees unless specifically mentioned. If I have documentation to back up the mileage on these older cars, I will.

Payment must be made by cash-in-person, cashiers check, money order or bank to bank wire transfer. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be expected within 3-5 days following close of auction and remainder paid within 7-10 days. Florida residents must include 6% sales tax. According to Florida law, if an out of state purchaser takes delivery of a vehicle in the state of Florida I am obligated as a licensed dealer to collect sales tax at a rate equal to the purchasers state sales tax and not to exceed 6%. The purchaser will then be given a notarized form from the State of Florida proving tax paid to present to their tax collectors office for sales tax credit. You DO NOT pay sales tax twice! Any additional fees or taxes will be the responsibility of the purchaser. This does not apply to vehicles shipped out of state, only ones picked up in Florida.

Buyer assumes the cost and responsibility of shipping. I already have contacts to ship the vehicle anywhere in the USA, so I can help arrange this for you and give you cost estimate ahead of time. If you are going to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the Ft. Myers International Airport and provide you with a free 30 day temporary plate for your vehicle. You must have insurance before a temporary plate can be issued.

All vehicles do have clear titles and are guaranteed to be clean and free of any liens or brands such as salvage or rebuilt. Occasionally, a title will be in transit from the bank or dealership because of a loan payoff and may not be in my immediate possession, but will be processed to you as soon as physically possible.
Any buyer with a negative rating will be ignored unless he contacts me first with a good explanation. There is no sense in running up the prices by people who have problems following through with commitments. Remember you are entering into a legally binding contract. Finalists for 2014 Green Car of the Year announced

The list of finalists for the 2014 Green Car of the Year has been announced, and in a genuinely bizarre twist, there's only one hybrid and no electric vehicles among the five contestants, despite the arrival of cars like the BMW i3 and Tesla Model S. Taking the place of the EVs are a pair of diesels, repping a technology that last won a Green Car of the Year award in 2009, when the Audi A3 TDI took the title. No diesel was in the running for last year's award.
Naturally, both of the diesel finalists are fielded by the Germans - with BMW's 328d and Audi's A6 TDI getting the nod. In the case of the 3 Series, BMW installed a 2.0-liter, turbodiesel, capable of delivering 180 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while returning 45 miles per gallon on the highway. Audi and its larger, 3.0-liter, V6 turbodiesel produce quite a bit more grunt, with 240 hp and 428 lb-ft of grunt, but net a very impressive 38 mpg on the highway in the A6.
Finalists for this year's awards include two diesels, three gas-powered cars and a plug-in hybrid.

Toyota launches Pixis Space; first kei cars are Daihatsus in drag

Toyota has announced that it will unveil its first-ever kei car to be sold under its recently launched Pixis sub-brand. The vehicle, called the Pixis Space, will make its official debut in late September. Based on the Daihatsu Move Conte, the Pixis Space will be sold at Toyota dealerships through what the automakers calls "Pixis stations." Yes, seriously.
After Toyota's version of the Daihatsu Move Conte makes its debut, the Japanese automaker will launch a Pixis-badged Daihatsu Hijet truck and microvan in December. By the end of 2012, Toyota says it will launch a Pixis version of the upcoming Daihatsu e:S - a vehicle that returns 70.6 miles per gallon (U.S.) as measured under Japan's JC08 test cycle.
In case you weren't aware, Daihatsu - Japan's oldest manufacturer of automobiles - operates under the control of Toyota. In other words, these Pixis machines are simply badge engineering at the kei level.

Was there a better time for Japanese performance than the 1980s and 1990s? It seems like looking back, Japan was on a roll, producing cars that were affordable, economical, reliable, fast and lightweight. And while all the attention is - thanks to a certain film series - focused on cars like Toyota Supra and Mazda RX-7, there is a lesser-known model that's establishing its own enduring legacy without the help of Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.
The MR2, affectionately known as the "Mister Two" to fanboys, first arrived in 1984 as a lightweight, mid-engined sports car that proceeded to eat the lunch of the Pontiac Fiero in terms of performance. That car was replaced in 1989 with the more familiar, rounded-out MR2, which is the subject of this latest video from the team at Petrolicious.
