Original Owner. Truck in excellent condition, only used a few times a weeks for short commute to work. Have a baby on the way so wanting to down grade to a Minivan or an CUV. The truck is not really being used for what is was designed for so hoping that someone else can take ownership of it and appreciate the truck potential.

- Only use the truck to tow 2 times. Used a U-Haul trailer with a 240SX on it, each tow trip was approximately 160 miles.
- Only used premium gas (93 octane) during the break in period all the way up to 10K miles mark, then it was switched to regular gas (87 octane). We are doing the same thing right now on my wife new Accord.
- Please note that the SR5 badge is not currently on the truck. It was taken off when I started to de-badge the truck for cleaner look and easier waxing. Can be put back on if buyer prefer.
 - Truck have thin long (~12") scratch on right hand side of tail gate and tiny scratch on bed above left hand wheel well. Barely seen in pictures or at a distant of 5' from truck.

I have a set of 20" wheels that I can include with the truck for the purchaser. Wheels need to be re-coated. Purchased the wheels used with the intend to powercoat it with a gunmetal color. Also come with all the left over Toyota oil filter that I have left. Truck will have a small increase in mileage since I do not want it sitting around for weeks, will still drive it a few times a week to have have all fluids circulating. Please shoot me a message if you have any question. Can help with shipping if needed.

Toyota recalling 11,200 Scion iQ models over faulty passenger sensors

Wed, 07 Nov 2012

Toyota has announced a voluntary recall of 11,200 Scion iQ models from the 2012 and 2013 model years. According to the manufacturer, the problem with these pint-sized hatchbacks concerns the front passenger Occupant Classification System (OCS) weight sensor cables.
The OCS sensors in the front passenger seat control the operation of things like the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioner. In these affected models, the cables for these sensors located in the seat track can become damaged as the passenger seat slides forward and backward. And if the cables are damaged, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioner may not function properly.
No injuries or crashes have been reported in conjunction with this issue.

Toyota settles complaints with states Attorneys General for $29 million

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

Toyota announced today that it has reached a settlement with the Attorneys General of 29 states and one US territory that will resolve their complaints relating to recalls performed by the automaker from 2005-2010, including those related to sticky accelerators and malfunctioning floor mats that may have contributed to cases of unintended acceleration.
The settlement includes a payout of $29 million to be divided among the states and US territory, as well as a commitment from Toyota "to take steps to make vehicle information more easily accessible to consumers to help them operate their vehicles safely and make more informed choices." The settlement also has Toyota continuing its rapid-response service teams and quality field offices that were put in place shortly after the largest of the recalls from 2010, as well as a "range of customer care amenities for owners of vehicles subject to certain recalls," though the press release below isn't specific about what those amenities might be.
This settlement marks the second major step in the last few months that Toyota has taken to settle legal disputes surrounding the unintended acceleration recalls, the first being a $1.4 billion settlement to address economic loss suffered by owners of current and past Toyota vehicles that may have lost value on account of these recalls.

Toyota GT86 convertible on 'indefinite hold'

Sat, 05 Oct 2013

Bad news, sportscar fans. According to a new report from What Car?, Toyota has cancelled plans to produce a GT86 convertible, a model based on the FT-86 Open Concept that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. In truth, Toyota never actually confirmed it would produce the budget-friendly droptop in the first place, but rumors have been flying since last year and Toyota reportedly showed its embattled Scion dealers a FR-S version of the convertible in August. Presumably, this means that a lidless variant of the Subaru BRZ is not in the cards, either.
The reason for the move is unknown, though What Car? reports "one possible cause is weight; Toyota did say that further work would be required on rigidity before the convertible could be launched, and that could have added extra bulk that conflict with the regular GT86's ethos of light weight and agile handling." It doesn't look like that work will happen anytime soon, as "sources now say that the car has now been delayed indefinitely, with no place in Toyota's product plan in either 2014 or 2015." Still holding out hope? What Car? says the project could be "fast-tracked" if management decides it wants to reboot the program down the road.
