Truck has a brand new set of Michelin Raised White Letter Tires that I put on the truck @ 105,555 miles. These are the Michelin LTX Mud and Snow Tires in size P265/70 Tires. I bought these tires on 08/28/2012 (have sales receipt and will give to buyer). I have ALL the SERVICE RECORDS for this truck stores on Toyota's MY TOYOTA Website; it keeps record of every service your Toyota has had done at a Toyota dealership. This truck has never had ANY maintenance work done on it by anyone but a Toyota dealer. The tires I mentioned did come from a independent tire store but all scheduled maintenance and even the front disc brakes were replaced by an authorized Toyota dealer. The truck has 114,489 miles on it. The new Michelin Tires were installed at 105,555 in August of 2012. I have put only 9,000 miles on this vehicle over the past 20 months. It stays washed and waxed in the garage. Also, I have pulled a small U-Haul Trailer with it only once to take my daughter to college. This is a Toyota Tacoma that runs great and is clean as a whistle, the engine compartment looks brand new (see pictures). Again, ALL MAINTENANCE RECORDS are available and I will print them all off and provide to the buyer. I am selling this truck because I am buying a new 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser (4WD). I was and am the only owner of this truck. I used to work for Toyota as a factory rep and this Tacoma was my company car back in 2009 and I drove it for 9,000 miles and then I bought it because I'd never owned a truck before and this thing is great! I am selling it for a discounted price because it got caught out in a Texas hail storm last year and got about $4,000 worth of hail damage. I did not get around to getting it fixed, paint less dent repair can fix all of it. It has a crack on the hood scoop (it's fiberglass) so the hood has to be replaced. Like I said, I am buying a new 2104 FJ Cruiser and that is why I am selling my beloved "Taco." I will answer all questions and provide all the records to satisfy any questions. Toyota Expands Airbag Recall To 2.2 Million Vehicles Worldwide
Wed, Jun 11 2014Was your Toyota inspected under the company's recall campaign for faulty airbag inflators last year? You might have another trip ahead to have it repaired again. The automotive giant says that it found "the involved serial numbers provided by the supplier were incomplete, and did not include all of the potentially involved inflators," according to its official announcement. That means more replacements are needed. Toyota's April 2013 inflator recall covered the Corolla, Matrix and Tundra from the 2003 and 2004 model years, the Sequoia from 2002 to 2004 and the Lexus SC 430 from 2002 to 2004. At the time, the company said it would need to inspect about 510,000 vehicles in the US but only expected to replace around 170,000 inflators. However, the latest announcement increases that figure to about 766,300 vehicles in the US. Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the new amount is the combination of owners who need to have their vehicle looked at again and those who didn't come in for the initial recall. The company learned about the problem when Takata, the supplier, provided it with an improved list of the faulty part's serial numbers. According to The Detroit Free Press, the latest recall affects about 2.27 million vehicles from them worldwide. Knight said owners would receive notification of the problem around the end of the month but repairs would come in phases because the automaker doesn't have all of the necessary parts at the moment. The original problem occurred because the front passenger airbag inflator from Takata could have an improper propellant that could cause it to burst in an accident and not allow the airbag to deploy properly. Toyota inspected all the vehicles listed but only changed the inflators with specific serial numbers. Now, it's replacing them all. This wasn't just a problem for Toyota, though. Honda, Nissan and Mazda also used the faulty inflators and issued recalls at the same time. Autoblog has contacted the other Japanese automakers about whether similar campaigns are necessary for them. We will update this story, if we hear back from them. UPDATE: Honda spokesperson Jessica Howell sent along the following statement: Honda is aware that Toyota recently announced a recall of front passenger's airbag inflators. Honda is not aware of any incidents in our vehicles related to Toyota's action. We are currently investigating the potential implications to Honda vehicles.

Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
Toyota recalls 209,000 FJ Cruisers over seatbelt issue
Sat, 16 Mar 2013Toyota has announced that it will be issuing a substantial recall of the FJ Cruiser for a problem that could cause the front seatbelt retractors to separate from the vehicle body. This recall will apply to all FJ Cruisers - from 2007 through 2013 - totaling around 209,000 units.
The problem stems from the FJ Cruiser's pillarless door opening design that has the front-occupant seatbelts attached to the rear doors. Toyota says that when the rear doors are "repeatedly and forcefully closed," the retractor could completely separate from the door frame.
While there is no information about this recall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration yet, Toyota says that there have been no accidents or injuries associated with this issue. No specific fix or recall date are given, but the official press release is posted below.
