Up for Sale is my 2009 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner.  I've had this truck since August and have loved every minute of it! It is in excellent shape inside and out from the smoke-free environment of the interior to the nearly perfect paint on the body.  The truck has the 4 Cylinder engine in it which has plenty of power.  Also, this truck is 2 wheel drive and has handled great in snow and icy conditions.  This truck has 95,400 miles on it as of 3/24/2014 however it is my daily driver and that will probably change as time goes on.  All maintenance has been kept to the highest standard on this truck from checking/changing the oil at the recommended times to changing light bulbs as needed.  The only notable(maybe not even notable) blemish is the dent on the rear bumper. I'm not sure where it came from as it was on there when i bought the truck from the dealership. I will include pictures of the bumper so that you can see it or try anyways. This truck comes equipped with the base model features including AM/FM Radio, CD player,  Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Steering, Driver Airbags, Passenger Airbags, and Side Airbags. When I bought the truck from the dealership in August it came with several upgrades that the previous owner had upgraded on the truck including a 3" Lift (which i don't know the brand of the lift as it does not say anywhere what brand it is), 18" XD Series Monster Rims and 285/65R18 Nitto Grappler Tires.  The only modification that i have done to the truck is I've blacked out all of the chrome emblems on the truck which can be easily removed back to chrome. The tires have plenty of tread on them and from what I've noticed fair pretty well on pavement as far as loosing tread goes. As far as gas mileage goes this truck does fairly well even with the over sized tires I usually get about 20 MPG on the highway and a little less in the city. If you have any questions at all or want more pictures please feel free to message me and I will be more than happy to help you out.  The only reason I am selling the truck is because I need to downsize to a car because Im starting to travel a lot with school and I could use the better gas mileage.  Also as far as shipping is concerned, however you want to arrange to pick up the truck is up to you and at your expense.  I will not pay for shipping in any way. Also, I will require a $500.00 deposit immediately after you commit to buy and full payment by the time you pick up the truck.

Thanks,
Jack

A new Toyota MR2? We want to believe

Thu, Mar 9 2017

In the wake of a busy Geneva auto show, the rumor mill is churning, and the latest grist involves one of the most beloved Toyota sports cars of all time. EVO reports that Tetsuya Tada, the chief of the Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 project and a hard-liner about sportscar priorities (light and nimble, but with modest horsepower), wants a third vehicle for Toyota's nascent sporty lineup. Currently, we know there's a Supra-like vehicle in the works, being co-developed with BMW, and the 86 is sticking around. Tada said he'd like a third sportscar to compliment the two we know about, and that he wants it soon. A quick bit of history: Toyota's classic sporty lineup had three components. The most visible was the Supra, whose power and prestige grew as the car evolved from a cushy personal tourer to a high-horsepower, high-technology icon. The Celica was its Clark Kent, more mild mannered but also more accessible and affordable. The third was the MR2, a mid-engined go-kart that lasted for three distinct generations. Each had its charms, and all have their fans. When Tada says that he wants three sportscars in the lineup, we already know about the Supra successor, and the 86 is already filling the Celica's role, so the blank is easy to fill. It doesn't sound like Tada spoke the word "MR2" to EVO, or hinted that the car would be mid-engined, but Tada doesn't seem to say anything without purpose. Whatever the layout, this third car – if it comes to fruition – will probably play a role similar to the MR2 in relation to its stablemates. To translate: it'll likely be even lighter and more nimble, and probably less powerful, than the 86. The closest real-world analogue to the pure MR2 ideal is the Honda S660, a mid-engined Kei roadster that's on sale in Japan right now. It's light, small, and powered by a 0.66-liter inline-three. Toyota could decide to directly compete with the S660, borrow an engine from its small-car specialist subsidiary Daihatsu, and produce a mid-engined MR2. Another possibility, even simpler from Toyota's perspective, would be to adapt the existing Daihatsu Copen roadster. Sure, it's front-engine and front-wheel drive, but it's a small, light roadster. And even better, it sells abroad with a larger 1.3-liter engine. Restyle it slightly, perhaps to resemble the S-FR concept of a couple years ago, and it's an off-the-shelf solution. The S-FR itself is a third possibility.

Toyota reveals new versions of FT-1 concept at Pebble Beach [w/video]

Thu, 14 Aug 2014

Toyota certainly caught our attention when it unveiled the FT-1 concept at the Detroit Auto Show last January. Coming from the same people who gave us the Lexus LFA, Scion FR-S and Toyota Supra, the FT-1 concept looked striking in its bright red livery. But the Japanese automaker isn't quite done with it yet.
No, we're afraid we don't have a production announcement to share at the moment, but Toyota has revealed two new versions of the FT-1 concept that cast it in different light. Most notable is the graphite version pictured above. Replacing the bright red paintjob and two-tone red and black interior of the original concept, this second iteration - presented in the metal at McCall's Motorworks Revival in Monterey, California - goes for a more upscale and refined graphite exterior and a tan leather interior with exposed metal elements.
Both versions of the virtually road-going FT-1 concept will be playable in GT6, but at the same time Toyota also revealed (in digital form, at least) a virtual racing version of the concept called the FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo. Looking like the original concept was prepared for Japan's Super GT series, the FT-1 Vision GT is retuned for racing, with wider fenders, more extreme aero, competition-spec alloys on slicks and the like.

Rod Millen to face Monster Tajima in Electric Division of Pikes Peak Hill Climb

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The 91st running of the Pike's Peak International Hill Climb is scheduled to begin on June 30. Like last year's event, the 12.42 mile course - fully paved these days - starts at 9,390 feet elevation and doesn't stop climbing until it reaches an impressive 14,110 feet (the air is so thin up there that the FAA requires pilots to use oxygen at that altitude).
There will be an assortment of internal combustion machines racing to the summit, entries from France, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Sweden, Brazil, Canada, Great Britain, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Belgium, but all eyes will be on the electric showdown between Rod Millen and Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima, from Japan. 61-year-old Millen is a familiar name to Toyota racing fans, and he will be driving the Toyota TMG EV P002 (it won the Electric title last year), while Tajima will be again piloting the Monster Sport E-Runner (which was forced out of the field last year after a fire broke out).
Other entrants include Rhys Millen driving a 2013 Hyundai PM58OT and Paul Dallenbach, who will be driving Millen's Hyundai Genesis Coupe (it set the all-time speed mark last year).
