Regular wear and tear."

I am listing this truck for my dad who has had a stroke and can no longer drive a manual due to loss of use in his left arm.  This is his baby, he is not looking forward to parting with it.

Truck is coated with special, expensive wax that gives it a mirror-like shine for an extended period of time.

Comes with chrome wheels (his "summer wheels") and tires, which cost him $2500.  Also comes with the original stock Toyota wheels and tires.

Comes with nerf bars that he purchased about two years ago.

He is very picky about his vehicle and very on top of regular care and maintenance. I also believe it has one of those permanent air filters on it.

There are dings and small dents and scratches here and there, I have a couple of the more noticeable ones pictured.  The floor mats are dirty but the rest of the interior fabric is clean. The driver's door and middle console are a little dingy due to dirty mechanic hands/arms. It's not terribly noticeable, though. Probably could be washed easily.

The pictures also show the mirror shine on the truck. You can see things very clearly on the surface. That said, please ignore the fact that I look like a short, fat man in the reflection.

The truck has somewhere around 94,000 miles on it, 97% of them are highway miles because he worked about 25 miles from home and lives and works right off the highway, so there was very little stop-and-go, city traffic driving.

You always hear about how it's a good idea to buy a used vehicle from and old person because they generally take very good care of them and this here is one of those cases. This truck is outstanding.

Non-smoker, pretty sure he was the first and only owner. The truck was purchased from Olathe Toyota in Olathe, KS. No mechanical problems.

He prefers local pick-up, it's your job to come and get it. Cash only.

2016 Toyota Tacoma fears no canyon in Detroit

Tue, Jan 13 2015

It took a lot for it to finally happen, but with the 2015 GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado posing a clear and present danger to its near monopoly in the mid-size pickup market, Toyota finally introduced a new version of its Tacoma. Introduced at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the long-serving Taco has been refit, ditching its old, thirsty and uncouth 4.0-liter V6 with a Toyota's smooth-revving and powerful 3.5-liter, naturally aspirated six pot. Output figures haven't been published, but considering the V6 churns out around 270 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque in vehicles like the Toyota Camry and Highlander, we should expect similar numbers in the 3.5's first truck application. Joining the six-pot will be the previous truck's 2.7-liter four-cylinder. Beyond the powertrain tweaks, Toyota has delivered a significantly updated aesthetic that borrows elements of the 4Runner with newer design touches. A strong, prominent grille and muscular fender arches are fitting touches, while the new wheel design, one of our, featured on the show Tacoma deliver some added visual impact. The cabin, meanwhile, could best be thought of as that of a baby Tundra, sporting a similar layout and, when properly equipped, materials and touches that wouldn't look out of place on its big brother, the Tundra. 2014 Toyota Tundra gets five grades priced from $25,920*

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Toyota has announced pricing details for its refreshed 2014 Tundra, with the fullsize pickup offered in five grades. Naturally, that doesn't include the buyer's choice of three cab styles, the option of two- or four-wheel drive, and a choice of a 4.0-liter V6 base engine or 4.6-liter and 5.7-liter V8s.
The base SR starts at $25,920, while the volume SR5 model starts at $29,465. Toyota notes that all SR5s ordered with the big V8 hold the line on pricing from 2013 while including a further $650 in standard equipment. The first of three high-end trims, Limited, starts at $36,940, while the Platinum and 1794 Edition both start at $44,270, with all prices subject to a $995 destination charge. Also noteworthy on the cost-savings front, Limited CrewMax 4x4 models are priced $2,000 less than their 2013 equivalents, (4x2 buyers save $1,900).
As is typical for a model as as customizable as a pickup, Toyota's pricing structure is far from simple. Adding the 5.7-liter V8 at one trim level can cost several hundred dollars more or less than another trim level - the same goes for adding four-wheel drive. So, rather than break out the Enigma Machine to try and decipher what options cost what on which trim, we've just rolled the whole pricing chart in. Scroll down for a look, including Toyota's full press release, and then check out our recent First Drive feature of the truck.
